Course Rep video - Duration: 3:44.

Hi I'm from the Students' Union and I'm here to talk to you about Course Reps.

During your course you may have concerns, suggestions, issues and questions that

the University would like to hear and address. From resources to timetabling,

assessments to collaborating.

Well each course has students who volunteer as Course Reps to gather feedback from your course.

And then take that feedback to meetings with

your course teams to ensure all student voices are heard.

This could be YOU!

It's a great way to learn more about the University, make positive changes

get to know your tutor and course mates and it looks brilliant on your CV.

But don't take my word for it here are some current Course Reps.

I'm Tyler and I am on the foundation course doing

3D design and I'm in year 0.

My name is Sofia, I'm first year and I'm studying fashion marketing and management

I'm Harry Evans, I'm acting and performance year one.

I'm Sophie Correa, and I 'm on acting and performance year one.

Being a role model for the rest of the course and being the person that they know that

they can come to if they have an issue.

I always write down lists of everything

everyone says feedback wise, so that we can bring them to the meeting and make sure we can bring everything up.

You get the responsibility of being a degree student

where you are a part of the University, where you get to make a difference and have an influence.

I'm more like a link so I like the bridge between the tutors and the students

In the beginning of the year we organised a party, me and Becky the

other course rep, of my course and it was really nice, it was more for creating

friendship between everybody because nobody know each other.

We got extended library hours because we wanted the library to be open a bit longer because it wasn't

open as long so we've got a trial where we had like a weekend

where it was open for a lot longer than it would have been. Which I thought was really really great .

A lot of people have been complaining a bit about the amount of feedback we haven't been getting

and so that's one thing we brought to the meeting.

So we've set up the idea of making this group and having these mixers for the

students' straight away rather than having to form our own bonds through

Facebook and some people shy so there are a couple of people that want to jump

aboard with my idea and I'm really looking forward to setting up for the

newcomers for next year!

What I would say to someone who wants to be a course rep is do it! Because we have had such a good time doing it!

So if you are a course rep or you're thinking to do it, don't do it because of your CV,

don't do it because of the glory of saying your a course rep, do it because you actually want to help your course.

Being a course rep gives you that point of contact between the tutors and

between the students where you can make a difference, regardless of

whatever you want. So just do it!

Each course needs course reps. So if this sounds like you, just speak to your tutor.

It's easy! For more help come and see us at the Student's Union office

Who am I? It's my award, for best course rep of the Year!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Thank you so much, It means a lot winning this award, because it means...

I'm the best of the best!

This is THE FINAL video. Series Player channel is SHUTTING DOWN - Duration: 2:01.

hey guys! my name is Den and this is the final video on this channel.

i'm not going to run it anymore because it is time consuming for me and simply not worth it.

and now lets take a look at the amount of money

i raised from your donations... as you can see, i got about $160 here

and 2 more donations via PokerStars player transfer for 35 dollars total.

so it's a bit less than $200 dollars for 3 month of running this channel.

i tried to raise $300 in May but $57.77 is all i got. you can see that i received $32.77 here

and 25 bucks more via PokerStars.

so it is about 20% of what i needed.

i want to thank everyone who donated to Series Player.

thank you very much, guys. also i want to thank Matthew Hunt. in collaboration with whom

we made a couple of videos with commentary. and finally i want to thank every single viewer.

thanks guys.

i'm shutting down this channel.

but it doesn't mean that you can't watch these replays.

it is still possible for you to watch them in PokerStars client.

all you need to do is to make a simple filter in "Favorites" tab.

so... that's all i want to say in this video.

and now this channel is officially shut down. and one more time thank you guys for being

with Series Player.

take care of yourselves, take care of each other.

Peace!
