have you got a method to make a nice and logical collection
how to start? what are the steps?
First, to have a nice start, you should get an Hectorette
Yes it's a good begining
it could help you to make cleaning, organising....
Yes! a clean collection is a nice collection!
it's simple, when you start a collection
start with buying the main albums of Mj
All solo albums, on cd
Then you can collect all singles from the same country
Here we are in Europe, so start with europeans singles
Then, for B&W single, find first the european pressing
On cd, on 7"inch, on 12"inch
and then stay focus
Don't change of single before you don't have them all
with that method, you will have a complet set
a collection is built like a pyramid
you have the base
with all items about 5/10euros
and then your pyramid is highter and highter
the top of the pyramid represents the rarest and expensive item of your collection
this is how you make a perfect collection

in the 90, it was rare to have a CD player at home

nous essayons au maximum de mettre que des produits officiels dans le livre
les pirates n'y sont pas
donc c'est un premier conseil pour savoir si un article est officiel ou pas

maybe I know more, because I've started leaning before some fans
i learn all on internet
e bay is the better place to discover new stuff
every morning, I check eBay
i see all new auctions
and I discover new items each weeks!
with eBay, you will know all of them
for the 2nd question, officials or bootlegs
Sebastian and Pez have contacts
contacts everywhere in the world, including in Sony or Epic
so it's simple with those contacts to confirm or not an item
and when you have a reference on a disc
when you have a serial number looks real
it's easier to see the difference! hope I've answered to your question!

especialy for the book, I go on eBay to see new items to put in it
there is also "le bon coin" (second hand website)
i have also contacts in Japan for example
they check Japanese websites for me
it's a big network
when you have contacts all around the world it's easier
but eBay is the number 1, if something exist, one day it will be on eBay

Sur quels critères la valeur d'une pièce est basée?
pour le prix d'une pièce
il y a tout d'abord l'état de cette pièce
si l'état est neuf, ou si la pochette est abimée
et aussi le pays d'origine de l'objet
si il vient d'un petit pays
il y aura peu d'exemplaires de cet objet
Par exemple, pour le Costa Rica. C'est un petit pays
Du coup peu d'exemplaires sont produits au Costa Rica
Et aux USA
c'est un très grand pays, donc les disques sont pressés en grande quantité
Les produits rares proviennent souvent de petits pays

it's simple, you must have a logo epic
with a "real" reference
for example "epc...." in Europe
there are some variations on the references
if you have a cassette with a reference
if you find another cassette, from another country, I must be the same numbers
with variations, but the numbers are the same in 90/100
the numbers will help you to know if it's real or not
and if you are not sure, you can check
on ultimate collector book, if it's in it, it's official

but it cost a lot of money
first, you have to take an expert, to make a estimation of all the collection

I think this is good
they made a big mistake with "Michael" album
