Studielink has been modernised. In this video, we'll explain exactly what the

changes mean for you. Studielink is the enrolment application for institutions

of higher education in the Netherlands.

Studielink is only used for a few things.

But these are important things. You use it: to enrol on a study programme.

To enrol for the new academic year. We call this re-enrolment. To arrange payment of

your tuition fees. To terminate your enrolment on a study programme.

So what's changed? That's what we're about to tell you. We'll also tell you why we've made these changes.

We need your personal email address. We need you to verify your

unique email address once.

This will allow us and your educational

institution to keep you informed about your enrolment and communicate

efficiently with you. You'll be given a personal Studielink dashboard.

The personal dashboard gives you clear and easy access to all the information

Studielink has on you. That makes arranging your enrolment a lot easier.

Some changes have been made to the login system, which we'll explain to you now.

As you can hear, Studielink has become more personal, so we want to make sure it's

really you we're communicating with. Naturally, Studielink, also meets the

latest security requirements. Because each student is unique, we've been able

to create generic logging processes for 4 types of students. Please check

carefully which type of student you are. Don't bother trying to write this down,

because the names of these types are far too long, but they are super-recognisable.

When you first enrolled for your studies, you were given a personal username and

password. Use these to log in and then enter your

personal email address. If you've lost your login details, you cannot request

them in Studielink. There is absolutely no reason to panic, though. Simply go to the

student administration department at your institution of higher education,

and they'll be able to help you 100%.

The "living-abroad-and-wishing-to-study-in-the-Netherlands"

soon-to-be student Simply create a new account and also

enter your personal and unique email address. Once you've done that, you'll be

able to enrol on a study programme in the Netherlands.

Did neither of those two

descriptions sound like you? Then you need to pay attention now.

You live in the Netherlands and want to create a Studielink account for the

first time. All you need is your DigiD and a unique email address. If you haven't

recognised yourself yet, you must be this last type.

The "Dutch-student-already-studying-in-the-Netherlands". You live in the Netherlands and have a DigiD.

Log in using your own DigiD from 10 October. Once you're logged in, all you

need to do is verify your personal email address once. That wasn't too hard was it?

If it's not quite clear yet, just watch the video again. Or go to your

educational institution and ask them your question. They will certainly be

able to help you. If you have any other questions about Studielink, have a look at

our frequently asked questions.

Good luck with your enrolment.
