Today I'm back with a Oreo Cream Puff
It comes with crunchy choux pastry with sweet Oreo cream inside.
Here we go.
First let's make cream custard.
BEAT egg yolks, sugar and flour in a medium bowl.
Pour the milk in a pan and Heat up until almost boiling.
Pour the hot milk mixture to the egg mixture and whisk then pour everything back into the pan and boil on a medium high heat.
Whisk the mixture with a Whisker the custard cream to thicken.
When the custard is ready cover the top with a plastic wrap and place in the fridge.
If you prefer softer cream pour the mixture through a strainer.
Now it's time to make cookies that goes on top of the puff.
Beat room temperature butter.
Add the sugar and beat.
Add the flour and whisk until it comes together and smooth.
Roll out the dough for about 3 mm thick and place it in the fridge.
Now let's make choux pastry.
Place water, salt and butter in a saucepan and bring to boil.
When it starts to boil turn the gas off and add sifted flour and whisk.
Place over medium heat and cook the mixture.
Cook until the mixture forms a ball and begins to come away from the side of the pan.
Place the dough in the mixing bowl and let cool.
Gradually add the eggs while whisking the flour mixture.
Add the last egg beat until the mixture just falls from the spoon but still holds its shape.
Place the dough into a piping bag.
Cut out the cookie dough with a round cookie mold.
Squeeze the choux pastry onto tray and place the cookie dough on top.
Bake for about 30 minutes in the preheated oven at 180℃(360℉)
Baking temp and minutes might be different with types of oven you own.
Let the baked choux cool down and let's make Oreo cream.
Crush the Oreo cookies.
Mix the whipped cream with custard cream.
Mix the Oreo cookie powder Oreo cream is done!
Squeeze the Oreo cream into cookie choux that's it.
I thought it was going to be greasy but it was really good
Oreo cream goes so well with Cookie choux.
