Hello Principles of Management Class.
My name is Samantha Swanson and I am 18 years old and I live in Minnesota, of course.
Just like all of you, I am attending Anoka Ramsey Community College.
I'm the oldest child of 4, and I'm super outgoing because of it.
I love positivity.
I think that's just because I've dealt with a lot of tough things in my life.
I love the arts and I love being in social settings because people make me happy.
They bring me joy.
Right now I'm working as a manager at Culver's.
Its a fast food restaurant.
I became part of management when I was just 16 years old, which is kind of cool.
I work well with people, which is why I love the job.
I love being a manager and taking care of people, and delegating different tasks, and
making sure people are doing what they're supposed to do.
For this reason and many others, I'm going for a Business Administration Degree with
an emphasis in Human Resources.
My dream job would be a Human Resources Manager, and then of course have a family and be happy.
I think the job would really suit me well because I would be working with people a lot
and be able to use a lot of the skills I've developed over the years.
At Anoka-Ramsey I will be done here this Spring.
I'm getting my Associates Degree and my high school diploma, so I kind of did those at
the same time.
The I'll be going to Southern New Hampshire University.
I'm going to be completing their online business program for my Bachelor's degree.
Then I am going to be moving to Washington state actually.
I love the weather and I feel there are lots of job opportunities out there.
A lot of large companies or corporations have their main headquarters out that way.
I just want to be on the coast and I think it is going to be a really good opportunity
for me.
I'm planning on moving out there in September.
I think this class has helped me learn a lot about the management field and my ultimate
goal is to be a Human Resources Manager.
We had a whole chapter about it, and I thought it was very interesting.
Its been really fun working with all of you, and I hope to continue that over the rest
of the semester.
Good luck in all of your future careers as well in the business field.
