ASL Video 2 Prounouns (With Captions) - Duration: 4:36.

Hello! So this is Fedorable ASL again this is lesson two which is Pronouns!

First I'm going to teach you the subject pronouns and the object pronouns.

So these would be things like saying I, Me, You, Him, Her, He, She, It, We, Us, They.

I'm gonna put a chart here so you can see and follow what I am showing you here.

So the object pronouns and the subject pronouns are the same signs so I'm going to teach you those together.

So when you're doing just an object or subject pronouns you're only gonna be using one finger.

When I teach you the possessive pronouns you're gonna be using your hand.

And then later on I'm going to be showing you the reflexive pronouns and those you're gonna use your thumb.

So here are the subject and object pronouns. You're gonna be using one finger.

So point to yourself is I or saying me. So I or me. One finger touching the middle of your chest right here.

This is "I" or "Me".

Point directly to the person that you're talking to. "You". This is you.

If you point off to the side, If you're talking directly to someone you would point to the next person that you're are talking about.

But if they're not there you would say "he/she/him/her". And just a quick point.

Or this is also "it". so it is over there.

For first person plural pronouns you would say "we" or this is also "us".

So you would touch right here to right here.

And for the third person plural. If you wanted to say "them" you would return back to your "he" or "she" sign and you would say "them".

Them right there.

If you wanted to say "they" you would kind of twirl your finger. So "they".

So "Me" or "I"

"You"

"He" or "She"

"Them"

"They"

"we" or "us"

So those are the subject and the object pronouns.

So next I'm going to teach you the possessive pronouns and the possessive adjectives.

So what you're gonna use for those, is you're gonna use a full hand.

So "My" or "mine"

"your" or "yours"

Just point it directly at the person just like "you", "your"

Just as if you are saying "he" or "she" you would point off to the side and say "his" or "hers"

or "its"

and if you're saying "their" you would also do as if you were doing "them". So you would just kind of move your hand back and forth and say "their"

And if you want to say "our" or "ours" you would cup your hand and put it right here on your dominant side and tranfer it over to your other side.

So "Our"

I'm going to show you those possessive pronouns again and we're gonna stop after we've done the possessive pronouns and not do the reflexive pronouns in this video here .

The possessive pronouns are

"my" or "mine"

"your"

"his" or "hers"

"theirs"

"ours"
