Kundana History Portrait Explanation Video - Duration: 3:50.

Hello, my name is Kundana and I am from 8i Emerald 11.

Today, I am going to discuss my history portrait video (History portrait Explanation Video)

The main messages of my portrait are to include the things I would like other people to believe and portray myself in an outstanding way.

I would like other people to believe the following things:

Disciplines, Ethical, Courageous, Perseverance and as an analytical thinker.

They are similar to the messages in the Armada Portrait because

it expresses messages and their thoughts towards the public. For example Queen Elizabeth shows how strong she was.

Just, like her, I want to express the best possible way that I can represent myself.

My key messages are a bit different to the messages in the Armada Portrait

this is because i am not really talking about only my appearances but I am talking about

presenting myself for my accomplishments, talents, expectations and skills.

The symbols I have chosen to use are an arrow target for discipline;

right and wrong for ethics, me turning into a lion for courage,

me bearing the world for perseverance and me trying to solve a puzzle for analytical thinking.

I chose these symbols because each of these symbols indicates positive outcomes and what I have learnt

throughout my experiences, that I have learnt to be disciplined, ethical, courageous, persevere and as an analytical thinker.

The Tudors would also use symbols and imagery in their portraits to communicate their message.

For example King Henry had an exceptional reputation towards the public.

The magical presence is conveyed through Henry's aggressive posture, standing proudly upright and is

directly facing the viewer. His legs are spread apart and his arms held with honor, this symbolizes a pose from a warrior. In one

hand he holds a glove and in the other, he holds a dagger. This portrait

which contains unusual but incredible propaganda is mainly designed to enhance his Henry's majesty.

Queen Elizabeth also used symbols within her portraits to communicate her propaganda aims.

For example in her portraits I can see the English monarch, Queen Elizabeth's portrait

had given the world a very powerful propaganda. Her hand which is resting upon a globe indicates that she was the empress of the world To be

specific her hand is resting on the map of England, this symbolizes that she

is ruling the country successfully and ethically. The Spanish Armada pictures that one of her greatest and most

remarkable achievements the defeat of the Spanish Armada. We can also

see that the English fleet was on land and the Spanish fleet was on sea. This

suggests that she was both the empress of land and sea
