Hello, my name is Lan Anh.

I am a third year student from Foreign Trade University in Vietnam.

And I am studying International Business Economics,

and aspire to become an entrepreneur in Education and Supply Chain Management

1. Why I want to participate in this YSEALI program?

According to a research in 2016, Vietnamese are the least likely to debate in time of conflict in Asia.

The reason for this was Vietnamese do not receive any trainings on critical thinking since they were younger,

so when a conflict arises, we really dont know how to debate in a sensible way.

The reason for the lack of training

Vietnamese goverment has actually promoted critical thinking trainings since 3 or 5 years ago.

But they haven't been very successful because even the teachers have misunderstandings about critical thinking

That's why by participate in this YSEALI Program, I want to learn more about Critical thinking,

as well as improve my leadership skill and learn from different perspectives of other leaders from SEA.

to learn how their countries raise and solve this issue

how they change their conventional teaching method to the new critical thinking teaching method

After the program is completed,

I plan to 1) share the knowledge that I learnt from the program on my social media channel: Facebook & blog

and 2) create an event- social media or physical event to tell young people about critical thinking

& to help them learn critical thinking by themselves

So bearing those plans and hopes in mind, together with my experience with my student club,

I believe that if I get selected for this program, I would reach my goal of developing youths,

skills, leaderships, critical thinking and make a positive impact to my society.
