We're going to talk about how to shoot a really pleasant and good looking YouTube video.
I have been filming tutorial videos for about 4 years so I hope that I can help you with
my best advice.
Let's start with the general and the most important things, and then I'll show you
how we can do it with a real example.
So guys here we go!
Number 1.
Sound The sound of your video must be as clean as
possible, without any distracting noises.
Preferably record you audio on a separate external mic, but if you don't have such
an opportunity, then you should choose a quiet room or place, where nobody will distract
you.
I believe you have something to share with your audience!
Make a short script for you video, it will help you convey all the necessary information
briefly and allow you to mix you video footage with voice over.
And then you need to record you audio separately (using additional programs) and lay it over
your video (We'll do that a bit later).
Try to use the best devices for shooting that you have.
It can even be a mobile phone, but with a more or less high-quality camera.
The main thing is try to shoot a smooth picture without shaking the camera or phone when filming.
It will be very good if you have a tripod or a selfie-stick.
It will allow you to capture the best moments.
If you have some additional equipment like a selfie-stick or tripod, you can use it to
make your image more stable using these tricks: If you have a selfie-stick or tripod you can
place it on your foot while holding to top with your hand.
This will give a stable picture and allow you to get good pan shots.
If you're using a selfie-stick to film with your phone and you want to avoid shaky cam
effect just turn your phone upside down.
Just make sure you have enabled auto rotation on your phone.
The only and most important rule is "don't make long videos!"
According to statistics, the best duration for a video is from 2 to 3 minutes.
During this time you should be able to show all necessary information.
If possible, make your videos even shorter.
If we are talking about cutting the videos from your travels, then the important thing
is to choose footage for your video.
So you need to choose the highlights from all of your videos.
It can be some important, beautiful and really impressive places of our planet, which must
be shared!
You can use a trick that can make any video look "juicy".
Even if your camera quality doesn't allow you to create a really vivid picture, color
correction can help us with that.
It will emphasize what your camera device couldn't.
At the end of this video I'll show you how to apply good color correction just in a few
clicks.
And the last one guys.
Background Music Sometimes it's very useful to add some music
in the video background.
It should not drown out your voice, but it will add some rhythm and completeness to your
video.
You can find good and free music in the YouTube Music Library (you can choose something upbeat,
suitable for the mood and theme of your video).
And now let's try to combine all these tips and make something cool!
I'll show you a quick example how you can make a pretty good video with only Vegas Pro
15 in your hands (this program is fairly easy to use and will cover all our needs).
When you have recorded all the videos, you can create a new project.
Next you need to select video highlights, cut them and place the way you like.
If you have an external mic, then you can record sound without video and place it on
a separate track as you need.
Color Correction - you need to select Vegas LUT Filter plug-in, just select a nice LUT
file and apply it.
(You can find many LUT filters on the Internet or in the video description)
Well, at the end, let's get some quiet music on the background.
And now just render the video.
