Stevie's idea isn't all bad in marketing you do have to be willing

to look different you do have to be brief and you do have to stand for

something and finally the idea of packaging all that up into a trailer

5-minute authority where you can learn about designing a path of attraction

that leads right back to your business now where was I oh right

the trailer so in a previous video we talked about YouTube's well let's call

it generosity and letting you have way more views than they charged you for in

your ads today we're taking it to the next level

first of all this trailer technique is perfect if you have a video series as

part of your content carousel they're almost ideally suited to make trailers

because they contain three essential things that make ads work one is a

counterintuitive idea - they help demonstrate how you can help and three

they do so in an engaging way so if you want more people to watch those videos

why not give YouTube a better way to send them to you by giving them a

summary of those videos if you do the percentage of people watching your ad

all the way through is bound to go up by at least 50%

more people watching your video all the way through means hundreds or perhaps

thousands of extra visitors to your blog gobbling up your lovingly crafted

content but how do you do that let's make it as easy as possible

because after all you're now making two videos per period instead of one and we

don't want to make it any more time-consuming than we absolutely must

right so the fastest way to do this is to edit your final video into smaller

sections think of it like an episodic TV show if you haven't watched TV in a

while it goes something like this previously on the 5-minute Authority

then you you just quickly go from shot to shot with fast transitions until the

viewer is reminded of what they watched before what's really happening though is

that the whole story is being told only without the nuance so in each shot you

choose you capture the essence of the point that that section of the video was

about the sum total of those points is the story of that video without the

nuance or in our case without the details that make what you're talking

about actually work for instance if I was going to capture everything in this

video that happened up until right now I would take a couple of shots from

earlier but reverse the order and make one shorter than the other so it might

look like this Stevie's idea is an old band in marketing you do have to stand

out you do have to be brief and you do have to stand for something and finally

the idea of packaging all that up into a trailer well he may be on to something

covered all the main points that should put you at around 50 seconds then you do

a little call to action which would be the only additional shot you'd you'd

have to get for this entire trailer which brings it to a minute because in a

previous video I already gave you a way to position the beginning of your ad and

that can already be sitting on your timeline that little ten-second piece at

the end just needs to make a promise acknowledge once more that this is an ad

and send them on their way something like this I think it's worth a look

if it can raise your ad retention rate by 50% it's okay to just click on it now

so you can bookmark it then come back and watch the video we interrupted for

you so enjoy your show and see you in a few minutes okay so let's

talk about the tone of the ad ads are more sexy and less intimate more group

facing and less individual facing more pop-culture orient in the less

idiosyncratic more upbeat and less nuanced that should be reflected in your

music choices because that's going to be the main difference between your trailer

and your final video well that in the pace and of course I hope you can see

that since this video is reaching strangers you want it to be of the

highest quality you can manage and that's all anyone can ask and there will

be a fair amount of forgiveness if your ideas are attractive which is what the

"Love & Hip Hop Miami" star Amara La Negra is poised for world domination.

Since the VH1 reality show debuted, the breakout star has been everywhere.

I'm always going to be competing with first certain keyword because if you're not it's just like you're wasting you're wasting your time

Another thing that you can do right when you're ranking your videos

Sentences because the first two sentences is going to what's going to come up in the search engines

And it's going to come up and not in the watch page

Tags as far as tags what you're going to do is just write down tags that are standard and also

video and so YouTube and the viewers what your video is about

Okay, so make sure that it's relevant everything all the content and this video has to be relevant now

Create a thumbnail

Okay, you're probably wondering. How are you getting this? Oh?

Well, I downloaded this little tool called tube buddy, and it actually guides me I mean

It guides you and it's free or it's paid

But I have the free option right because I'm using other other marketing tools that I'm paying for and it guides you on how on

YouTube best practices for instance it's you have to create a high resolution

Thumbnail the high resolution thumbnail would be basically let me see it should give you an example of that

That's a high resolution thumbnail. It's just something so just so that people can feel

And it's easy to add the info cards you just up and go to edit video to show you where that is

I created a call to action of how to get to another video. That's relevant to the video that they just saw or

Since I want them to buy my tea I send them to a tea tutorial and to my testimony alright to show that it works

as far as subtitles and

Subtitles and closed captioned. It's really important because that's going to help you rank your video too and

You can the hearing impaired also watch videos, and they could just read the subtitles that are below so

It's gonna also gonna help rank your video, and it's also gonna help content, so I have it here

If you want to create it you can create it in English I have it on Spanish

And you can actually publish it, and it just comes up automatically and and the end

Screen is just going to send

Your viewers if they watch till the very end hopefully they're watching till they're very hopefully you'll watch this video to the very end

But if they're watching till the very end of the video what they're going to do is they're gonna click on whatever

Call-to-action that you gave them for instance I gave them a call to action of in this video of that

You know what it is on how to buy the team and to subscribe to my channel

so you're creating call to actions all over the place, and you're just enticing your and engaging with your audience to

To take certain actions because that's what you want them to do alright

You always have to create a call to action in your videos like for instance

at the very end of this video, which is super slow right now I

So let's go back to info and settings

I'll send them to another video and I'll send them to my channel

Let's go back to influence settings because I wanted to talk to you about something really quick

It's important that you also add playlists because you don't want people

Like if they're they want to watch a video, that's related you don't want them going to another video, okay?

You don't want them going to another video you want to keep them on your content and on your stuff

So it's important that you create playlists, and you can do that right right here while in the in the editing video section
