It's wonderful. The things that you learn about yourself, and the things that you
learn from the children, funnily enough. When I did it, I never knew that I had
such excess love in me to give these children.
I was one of those that would think the same, 'oh, I can't do it', or 'oh my gosh,
what's gonna happen', but it's so much fun; the training that you get, the support 24
hours support that you get.. there are serious parts of it and very funny parts
of it. I loved it. I can't express how much I enjoy doing what I'm doing
at the moment.
I became a foster carer because I was lonely after my two boys had left home,
and loved it ever since. It's one of the most rewarding jobs that anyone could
venture into, with excitement, disappointment, tears, laughter.. but in
general, I love it.
There is a shortage of foster carers. And not having us there,
children would end up in children's homes. We need you. Please come and join us.
