Waching daily Mar 25 2018

Today, in my neighborhood

It was very noisy

Everybody was shouting

A witch was found

Heard in the story

Watched in the movie

Heard in the story

Watched in the movie

To see the real witch

I was also curious

But to go there

I was scared

I followed my mother from behind

Reached that place

There was a poor women

Innocent women

In the name of witch

Her clothes were torn

Body was bruised

Eyes filled with tears

Trying to hide her shame (exposed body)

Some were force feeding her garbage

Some were torturing (branding) her with hot iron tong

Lots of humans but no humanity

But no humanity

Had heard that witch had blazing eyes

And hand filled with black magic

Had heard that witch had blazing eyes

And hand filled with black magic

But she was just begging for her life

Screaming for help

When are we going to stop this superstitious belief?

Blaming a poor, innocent women of witchcraft

Heard in the story

Watched in the movie

Heard in the story

Watched in the movie

But it was all a lie about the witch

It is just a myth that people believe

JUST A MYTH

Welcome to the Digital Writing and Research Lab.

Today, I'm going to show you how to set up a class blog on WordPress.

First, go to wordpress.com.

Then select "blogs."

Click "get started."

Next, select "start with a blog."

Instead of choosing a theme right away, select "skip for now."

This will give you a default theme that you can change later.

Now you need to choose a URL.

I recommend some version of your course title.

When you have a name, select the free option.

Then, select "start with free."

Here, you will need to enter your email, choose a username, and choose a password.

At this point, you'll want to check your email for a confirmation link to verify your blog.

Click "confirm now."

Now that you have a blog, let's look at some setup options.

Under the "my site" menu scroll down to "settings."

Here, you can enter a site title and a site tagline.

More importantly, you can set your blog's privacy settings to public, hidden, or private.

Remember to save your settings.

Next, return to the "my site" menu and select "add" on the "people" tab.

Here, you can enter your students' email addresses.

Then, you can choose the role you want your students to have.

Most likely it will be contributor.

Contributors can write and edit their posts, but the instructor publishes them.

You can also write a custom message.

Then, send your invitations.

Now you have a class blog set up on WordPress.

Be sure to check out other DWRL resources on our website to further hone your digital skills.
