Waching daily Dec 1 2017

Hey Southport it's that time of year again at scheduling season and

scheduling can be kind of a drag but right now together we're going to go

through scheduling in less than five minutes. Okay let's go starting right now!

Okay so starting right off the bat we're going to go to perryschools.org and

then we are going to go to Southport high school guidance department. Then go

under for students tab then, go to scheduling resources and, then go to

course offerings. Then in another tab we are going to open our Google Drive right

here then click curriculum offerings newspaper. Go back to our Google Drive

and you see at the bottom left corner it downloaded with the curriculum offerings

newspaper. Drag that into our Google Drive so it'll upload to our Google

Drive so we can see right here it's uploaded. So refresh the page and it

should appear right here in your quick access and here we have the diploma

requirements and we'll address later the curriculum offerings. So coming here to

the Diploma requirements we see the three different diplomas offered at

South or high school the core forty diploma core forty of technical honors

and core forty with academic honors note there are some differences between each

diploma as in requirements for things such as math requirements such as what

language for the academic honors and note for technical honors and academic

honors there are at the bottom different requirements for each diploma. So make

sure you take note of that and treat this as somewhat of a checklist as you

go through your high school career to make sure am I getting the correct

classes and am I taking enough classes to fulfill the Diploma requirements so

now that we've looked at diploma requirements I want to start with their

course selection sheet so the beginning is pretty straightforward put in your

information such as your name the grade you'll be in next year your student ID

what type of diploma you're shooting for whether or not you're an athlete and

whether or not you're member of band or choir one thing that will really help

you over filling out the sheet is asking your teachers what cost should I take

next year so for example asking your English teacher well English should I

take next year or asking your math teacher what math should I take next

year they'll really be your best resource for finding out what class will

be perfect for you also freshmen though at the bottom of this sheet there's

going to be a selection for PE too and health which is our classes you'll

typically take your sophomore year but also maybe talk to your counselor about

playdough and see if that's an option for you alright so now we're gonna go

ahead with the graduation planning sheet go ahead and fill out your name fill out

the grade you'll be in next year and then you have career goal and

post-secondary goal that's just a little big-picture thinking like what do you

want to do out of high school and what do you want to do as a career just a

little big picture thinking so then moving on down here we have sort of a

layout of how your classes will be for the upcoming year so at the beginning

you'll have the core classes you'll need to graduate and then electives and

remember for class that's a full year which is two semesters make sure you

fill out for two slots so as you can see here there's english A in english B

that's one full year with two semesters and if you don't have an idea of what

type of elective you want to take or what electives exists out there go ahead

and take a look at the course catalog that will be a really good resource and

I really recommend looking at that to make sure like what classes exist what

do you want to take and for those who want to go to C9 make sure you keep up

lines 9 through 14 open for your c9 time and then the rest of them will be for

your classes we'll be taking that Southport

so as we move down here we have students signature parents signature and phone

number email fill out that information you're good to go this sheet ok so now

we're going to go to the optional skyward part where you click schedule

and you'll see course requests now open so you'll click the button right under

there and you'll come to this interface where there's a list of all the classes

that Southport offers and once you finally decide on a class that you'll

pick you'll click on that class you'll select add course and it will bring it

to this menu with selected courses that you want and then you can go ahead and

click remove course if you need to remove the course also note that this

part is purely optional and that class codes may differ from the classes you

intend on taking nothing with your schedule set until you meet with your

counselor and talk through your next year schedule so ending things off we're

going to come back to the Diploma requirements and scroll down and here we

will find the course catalog this is basically a big list of classes you'll

find available at Southport and it is a really good reference to

find out what classes he might be interested in this as well as talking to

other students who will really help you get a better idea of classes or

electives you might want to take next year however note that not every course

is available as a certain amount of students must sign up for a class for it

to exist also note that the course catalog may not be up to date all the

time however it still makes for a really good

resource to look at before meeting up with your counselor and there we go

scheduling in less than 5 minutes if you want to know more check out the videos

on class levels, electives and C9 in the description of this video also

make sure you talk to your teachers for recommendations on what classes to take

next year as they are a really great resource for scheduling we hope you all

have an easy scheduling experience and as always go cards

WaPo Reporter on Secret Video: We Have No Confidence Trump Colluded With Russia - Duration: 4:08.

Project Veritas' attempt to lure The Washington Post into running a story about a dodgy Roy

Moore accuser (who was actually an undercover reporter from Project Veritas) didn't quite

go so well, which has prompted all sorts of gloating copy from the WaPo.

For once, a target of the conservative activist group didn't fall for an undercover investigation.

Take that, righties!

This is more than a little unseemly for the establishment newspaper in the nation's

capital.

As Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe quipped during a speech Wednesday at Southern

Methodist University, "The Washington Post seems to want a Nobel Prize for vetting a

source correctly.

Our work is sort of changing human nature and making people cautious."

Well, not cautious enough, apparently.

While The Post may have dodged a bullet from O'Keefe's arsenal, the folks at the WaPo

didn't exactly escape unscathed.

While the whole Moore gambit didn't work out, Project Veritas did get enough footage

from their time with The Post to prove that democracy doesn't die in darkness, but instead

in newsrooms where confirmation bias spreads like influenza.

Take the Russia/Trump investigation.

Please.

The Washington Post has been hawking stories about collaboration between the Trump campaign

and the Kremlin so frequently and with such breathlessness that readers would be forgiven

for assuming such links had already been firmly established.

Yet, as Project Veritas discovered, Washington Post national security reporter Adam Entous

thinks that the Trump-Russia connection is a "f****** black box" and a "f******

crap shoot."

"We've seen a lot of flirtation, if you will, between them, but nothing that, in my

opinion, would rank as actual collusion," Entous told a Project Veritas operative in

a recorded conversation.

"Now that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist, it just means we haven't found it

yet.

Or maybe it doesn't exist."

However, not everyone at the Post felt the same way that Entous did — at least not

publicly.

Melissa McCullough, director of newsroom operations, told the Project Veritas operative in the

video that she thought President Donald Trump was "living on another planet."

"Let's just hope he doesn't get re-elected in another three years," McCullough said,

before adding, "I shouldn't be saying these things … because we don't….

We're not supposed to really talk about that kind of stuff."

Well, no you shouldn't have, and no you're not supposed to, but there you go.

For all of the WaPo's gloating that they managed to "catch" Project Veritas in

action … well, that's what they're supposed to do.

That's why it's called investigative journalism, and this is why they're a newspaper and

not — supposedly — a clearinghouse of liberal ideology.

Yet, a quick count I ran of stories the Post ran on Project Veritas' failed sting numbered

23 in the past few days.

Some of the titles include "Post story on failed sting is valuable journalism lesson"

and "The latest conservative scam got exposed.

But it's just one piece of a much bigger fraud."

For a paper that seems determined to run a victory lap over this whole kerfuffle, it's

not like they came out looking all that good.

You may disagree with Project Veritas' methods or its ideological slant.

I certainly find myself having qualms over their work from time to time.

However, like them or not, they provide a valuable watchdog service over purportedly

nonpartisan organizations — particularly in the media — that have lost the ability

to effectively police, mitigate or even notice their inherent structural biases.

The headline, of course, will be the rather silly botched sting cooked up by O'Keefe

and crew, which I'm sure even they will admit was a mistake.

However, even with that, Project Veritas uncovered enough information that should unsettle anyone

who opens The Washington Post and thinks they're getting unbiased, agenda-free news.

It should also unsettle anyone who thinks that, after one year and millions of dollars

spent, investigators are getting any closer to a phantom link between the Kremlin and

the Trump campaign.

Geraldo May Be Next Celebrity to Face Sex Assault Accusations After Video Surfaces - Duration: 4:52.

Most veteran newsmen only stick around for decades if they've earned the public's

trust.

Geraldo Rivera, however, seems to be the exception that proves the rule.

Rivera, after all, is the man who created sleaze TV (and got a broken nose from a neo-Nazi

in the process).

He's weathered crises like Al Capone's vault and that time he decided to disclose

troop positions on air.

He's posted selfies of himself at a police officer's funeral and one where he was drunk

and half-naked.

He's like the '89 Jeep Wrangler of reporters — no matter what the world does to him,

he just keeps on going.

In fact, Rivera managed to escape mostly unscathed after a series of tweets defending Matt Lauer

after it was revealed the "Today" show host was a first class creep:

Those tin-eared missives didn't go over too well, and Rivera predictably apologized,

However, in a post-Weinstein world, past transgressions — no matter how old they may be — can

end one's career in a hurry.

That's a problem for Rivera, given that sexual abuse accusations have been kicking

around about the Fox News contributor for over a quarter of a century.

Rivera may have forgotten about it, and most of America certainly did.

Bette Midler didn't.

During a 1991 interview with Barbara Walters, the singing described a harrowing experience

back during the 1970s when Rivera and his crew came to interview her.

During the Walters interview, Midler initially demurred when asked to describe the incident,

saying she "would get in trouble."

"Get in a little trouble," Walters insisted.

And thus, Midler went on to describe her experience of being drugged and forcibly abused by Rivera

and his crew.

"Geraldo and his producer came to do an interview with me in the '70s, the early

'70s.

And this was back when he was very sort of 'hot,'" Midler said — referring, for

the gutter-minded, to Rivera's career arc and not his physical attributes.

"And he and his producer left the crew in the other room, they pushed me into my bathroom,

they broke two poppers and pushed them under my nose, and proceeded to grope me," Midler

said.

Poppers, for the uninitiated, are a class of inhaled drugs known as alkyl nitrates;

in addition to a high that lasts for several minutes, poppers are also supposed to enhance

libido or the intensity of sexual contact, as well as lower inhibitions.

"I didn't offer myself up on the altar of Geraldo Rivera," Midler said sarcastically.

"He was — he was unseemly.

His behavior was unseemly."

Midler then joked: "And my friend said, 'Oh, what a charmer!

Of course you slept with him after that!'"

"I'll tell you the truth," Midler added in seriousness.

"If I had known that … 20 years later he was going to wind up as a slimy talk-show

host, I never would have even let him in the room."

The accusation didn't get a whole lot of attention when it aired, presumably because

of the era and the fact that Geraldo was then seen as a has-been working in trash-TV.

Just in case you want to label this as a case of he-said-she-said, Geraldo himself more

or less admitted something like the encounter Midler described in his 1991 book, fittingly

titled "Exposing Myself".

"We were in the bathroom, preparing for the interview, and at some point I put my

hands on her breasts," Rivera wrote of his encounter with Midler, according to the San

Jose Mercury News.

The revelation didn't get much attention at the time, since it was arguably the least

trashy thing most people would have associated with Rivera at that juncture.

However, in the wake of Geraldo's Matt Lauer tweets, Midler made sure to dig up the old

footage for a new audience as part of her #MeToo moment:

Geraldo's continued employment in the news business has always been a sort of mystery

to me, something along the lines of where Jimmy Hoffa was buried or how that "Watch

me whip/watch me nae nae" song went to the top of the charts.

Now, it turns out that not only is he an incompetent, self-promoting hack, he's also (allegedly)

a pretty reprehensible person.

You don't even have to take Midler's word for it — Geraldo himself admits that "at

some point I put my hands on her breasts."

If you profess to not remember how you got to that point, or at least elide over it in

your description of events, one can probably assume consent wasn't on the menu.

Either way, it's getting to be a morning routine here at Conservative Tribune: another

day, another newsman/politician/actor who feels entitled to behave as if the world was

his own personal brothel simply because he happens to be famous.

Rivera may have apologized for the Lauer tweets.

However, even given an apology in this case, one would expect that's not go
