Relying on loans is sometimes not enough and you only get a limited amount. The

scholarship gave me an opportunity to just continue my education with what

limited funds I have, and I'm very thankful for that.

It just made me feel

like I was important and that my going to school was actually you know other

people were actually interested in me going to school and bettering myself so

that's how it really affected me.

How I've benefitted through the scholarship

is it's kept my debt down, financial debt down, so it's been really a godsend and

to continue my education through college it's been a wonderful possibility.

It just shows that I'm actually working for what I want, working towards my success,

and that's what I strive to be successful.

So for me this is an easy one. I was a student at Penn State Lehigh Valley so

I was in these student's shoes.

I needed financial help I needed some assistance on how to navigate the

educational experience, how to combine your educational experience with future

employment, so for me it's just giving back to people. I personally was a

beneficiary of both financial and academic scholarships and personally can

understand the benefits that I received being one of six children and having my

parents not have to have you know the financial implications associated with

having that many children going to college. Well, I'm a Penn State grad and I

decided that when I could I would get involved with

Penn State and because Penn State Lehigh Valley is here and I'm in

Allentown, I decided that I would do what I could for the students at Penn State

Lehigh Valley. We are Penn State!
