Hi!
For those of you who are new or who don't remember as far back as a year ago, I'm Gillian.
Nice to see you again, or to see you for the first time.
A year is a long time and this last year has felt particularly long.
There has been good and there has been bad... and I have been paralysed, not knowing quite
how to talk about any of it, especially to people who know of me but haven't been through
it all with me.
So my coping mechanism has been to withdraw and to self-isolate, as I am wont to do, but
that is the opposite of healthy.
So... self-expression, talking about things, not worrying about things being perfect and shiny;
that's going to be the theme for this month.
I'm sick of going through the motions and I want to get back to being happy and enthusiastic
and passionate about things... and that's something that I've been struggling with for
the past year and I'm sick of that not being a part of who I am for the most part anymore.
I've started reclaiming passion and enthusiasm in other aspects of my life and I thought
it was about time that I started doing that for video-making too.
So, that is my rambly way of saying I'm going to be doing VEDA this month,
to the best of my ability.
So, I guess I'll see you tomorrow.
