Hello it's Dale Beaumont here from Business Blueprint and we have another
business tech tool to chat to you about and this one is actually a microphone and
the microphone is called VideoMic Me that's the name of it and it comes from
a company called RODE and that is spelled R O D E now if you want to

and you'll go over to navigate to it now what it is it's a very small and very
portable microphone that can plug into the audio plug for any major smartphone
and so I use this for doing videos on the fly
they could be testimonial videos that I might be doing they could be
training videos that I might be doing for my staff, quick videos that I'm
sending out say for example on Facebook or even recently now as Facebook has
their new live streaming feature as well if you're doing videos and you might be
in a crowded place where there's lots of background noise or other people
chatting this is a way to get much better quality sounds so I'll just
quickly hold it up for you and show you exactly what it looks like it's very
very small and portable it can literally fit into your pocket and I literally
have it in my backpack or briefcase and girls you can pop it in your handbag
it's super small which means it's always going to be with you which is the key
you don't have to take any big heavy bulky equipment or even cords and cables
they're gonna get lost and entangled you take this and you literally plug it in
to where your headphones would normally go and then basically just plugs in like
so and you can record your videos now the benefit of having this particular
microphone is that will it will only accept the sound that it's actually directly
pointed at and so if you're shooting a video like so and someone's actually
talking any of the noise that's coming in from the sides or behind will be
rejected and the only sound that will be accepted is what the microphone is
pointing directly at now the other cool thing that
you can do with this as well is clearly point it in the other direction so if
you wanting to do like a selfie video like so you can literally hold the phone
with the microphone in your hand and that will make your sound come through
much clearer and sharper and all the sound that is on their back and the
sides then won't be coming into the actual recording so you have a much
clearer much sharper audio signal so this microphone here is very affordable
I think you can pick it up for between 70 to 80 Australian or US dollars and
you can find it on the website mentioned before or you can most likely find that
on Amazon.com as well but a very handy very portable microphone that I think
every business owner or entrepreneur should have in their in their bag at all
times because you never know if when an opportunity is gonna come along for you
