This video will show you how to add quick view to your WordPress site

Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin

Upload file "wp-quick-view.zip"

inside the package downloaded from Codecanyon

(link download in the description below)

Activate it

Installed plugin successfully

After installed, the "Quick View" panel should show up

All general settings of Quick View are here

Quick View can be added as a shortcode

Copy the Shorcode in General Setting

paste it into your page

Type the Post ID of the post you want to open

You can find it on the address of the Post Editor

as in example: "post=212"

Paste the ID number into shortcode "id=212"

There're other options can be changed

such as Lightbox size, Template, Animation, Text, Button size

Let's see how it looks first

Here it is

This is the post 212 with large lightbox and basic template

Read Knowledge Base on "support.themelego.com"

to know how to change the shortcode

For example, let's change to "overlay" template

with "full-size" lightbox and "newspaper" animation

and change button's text to "Quick" only

The button is now "Quick"

and the animation and template are changed

Go back to Quick View panel

Quick View button can be added to all posts showing excerpts

by enable "Add to post excerpt"

The Quick View is now added to all excerpts

This Quick View style can be changed in Display Settings panel

The settings apply for buttons in all excerpts

Options for Lightbox are in the same tab

By default, user can click on background outside Lightbox to close it

or use Esc key

There're 11 templates and 7 animations to choose

If posts don't have featured image, Lightbox'll show this Default header image

Same as button, Lightbox settings apply globall

You can set custom link to enable Quick View

by using "CSS selector"

Choose a link and paste its class name here

For example, you want all links in Recent Posts to open Quick View

Find the Recent Posts class name

Copy and paste into Css selector

with format: .classname a

Now all links inside Recent Posts will open Quick View

Settings are set globally in Display setting

Quick view can work alongside with Visual Composer

We've provided the button to open quick view link.

By default, all options here are pre-set as in Display settings

Select the post or page you want to open

All settings here are applied only to this element

not affect global settings in Quick View panel

You can add Quick view button to Visual Composer's grid

If the grid template shows post excerpt

it will show Quick View button by default of "Add to post excerpt"

with the style as set in Display setting

But what if the grid doesn't show excerpt?

You need to create new or modify a grid template,

and add Quick View button to that template

To do this, go to Grid settings > Item Design

Click on "modify selected" to modify an available template

or choose "Create new" if you want to create from blank

Let's modify this "Basic grid: Default" for example

You will be navigated to Grid builder page

Enter a name for this modified template

These are available elements in selected template (Basic grid: Default)

First, let's try to turn this one into a non-excerpt template

by deleting "Post Excerpt" element

Go back to the Post Grid setting to choose the modified template

The Post excerpts are gone, so are the Quick View buttons

Go back to the Grid Builder page to modify the selected template

Click + to add a Quick View button

By default, all options are pre-set as in Display settings

The settings here apply to all posts in the grid using this modified template

not affect global settings in Quick View panel

Here it is

Go to Grid Builder to edit this Quick View button in modified grid
