Hey, I'm Cindy Head of Animoto for Business. Over the past couple of months Facebook has been rolling out a cool new feature which is

the ability to add video cover images to your Facebook pages.

So today, we're going to show you how to make one of these using Animoto and how to post it to your Facebook page.

First to find out if you have access to video covers head over to your Facebook page and hover over that cover image.

Click on the change cover button. Now if you do have access to this feature

when you click on the drop down menu you should see an option to choose from videos or to upload photo video.

If you're like me, and you don't have access yet don't worry.

You should soon, but keep watching because you'll be ahead of the game

And you'll be able to upload a video straight to your Facebook page once you do have access.

Now one of the most common questions that we hear about this new feature is how do I

export a video that is wide enough to fit into the Facebook cover image spot?

Well the good news is you don't have to. You can upload a regular landscape video or 16 by 9 and

Drag and drop to crop it to the correct size. You'll just have to keep a couple things in mind when creating your video.

Your video must be between 20 and 90 seconds long in order to upload it and

part of the height of your video will be cropped out

so be sure to keep any important photos or text centralized so that it won't get cut out.

Here's the video that

photographer Kim

Winey created for her Facebook page. As you can see Kim kept all of the text vertically centered as well as the faces in her

photographs and as a result nothing important was cropped out or hidden once she uploaded to her Facebook page.

If you're looking to make your Facebook video cover in Animoto try using our Marketing Video Builder.

It gives you the most control over the placement over the text and image. Once your video is created

it's time to add it

Download it to your desktop and head over to your Facebook page now this feature isn't available yet on Facebook's mobile apps

So you're going to have to be on a computer and logged into your web browser to do this.

Okay, so once you're at your Facebook page click on change cover then select the upload photo video option from the drop down menu

Select your video file from your desktop to upload it and it may take just a few minutes encoded

Once your video is finished

encoding you'll want to click and drag to reposition it so that the part that you intended to be at the center sits at the

center. When you're done click next

One more thing before you publish make sure to choose a thumbnail that

Allows folks like me who don't have access to the video cover image to see exactly what you intended

To do this you can click on the arrows on the right and left to choose from frames from your video and

Once you've selected a thumbnail click on Publish, and you're good to go

We hope this video tutorial has helped you and can't wait to see all the amazing videos that you all make. Happy video making.

My First Video - Duration: 2:09.

Welcome to my very first YouTube video.

In this short video I will be explaining what this channel is about and what I have planned for future content.

(Basically all that is taking place in the background right now is time-lapsed gameplay of one of my current map creations.)

One thing I would like to apologize for in advance is the fact that this video is a text only video.

I do plan on making future content with voice audio, but for now this will have to do.

Speaking about future content and this channel...

I am planning on uploading game-play from games such as...

Battlefield 4...

World of Tanks...

Minecraft...

and any other games that my friends and I find interesting.

So if you are interested in these future plans then...

I'd appreciate it if you would like and subscribe.

But if you do choose to subscribe then don't slap that button, Spank it!

Yes, yes, I know. That was cringy, but hey no worries.

I think that's pretty much all I have to say.

Oh yes almost forgot...

So for my minecraft uploads I plan on doing...

Survival Lets Plays, Time lapsed builds, and Step-by-step builds.

Most of the gameplay I plan on uploading will be done with friends.

So that's it for now,...

but I hope you enjoyed my first, somewhat decent, Youtube video...

and I'll see you later.
