The following demonstration will show commercial fishers how to submit a Threatened and/or
Protected Species Report using FisherMobile.
On the 'Home Screen' tap on the other reports icon and then select the 'Threatened
Species' menu option.
This will open the 'New Threatened / Protected Species' window.
Next step is to select the date for the report.
The default date is the current days date.
To enter a different date, tap on the 'Choose' button and enter the required date in day,
month and year format.
Then tap on the Done button.
Next tap on the fishing business number field and select the fishing business from the available
list.
Note: that if you only have one fishing business then this fishing business number field will
auto populate.
Then tap on the 'Continue' button.
This opens the Threatened/Protected Species window.
Now enter the details of the interaction.
Enter the time of the interaction in hours and minutes format.

Tap into the 'endorsement' field and select the endorsement type from the available list.
Estuary General Mud Crab Region 3 has been selected.
Note: that the 'method' field and 'Type of location' field have auto populated.
For other endorsements you will be required
to tap into these fields and select the Method and type of location from the available lists.
Tapping on the 'Type of location' field enables you to select the location type.
The location type is related to the type of endorsement selected.
For some endorsements only a single location type will be available.
In this example the format of location field has auto populated to 'Estuary Code'.
Another type of endorsement will require you to tap into this field and select the format
of location from the available list.
Tap into the 'Estuary code field and enter the name of the estuary for example Richmond
and select the code from the available list.
Richmond River has been selected.
The Location Description field can be used to add any other details about the location
where the interaction took place, for example lower estuary.
Tap on the 'threatened/protected species' field and enter the threated or protected
species.
To search for a species enter the common name, for example Cod and select it from the available
list.
(ECOD) Now tap into the estimated weight field and
enter the estimated weight in kilograms.

Then tap into the estimated length field and enter the length in cms. (25)
Now tap on the 'Condition' field and select the condition of the species at the time of
the interaction.
'Released healthy' has been selected.
The comments field can be used to add any additional information about the interaction
if required.
Now tap on the green 'Submit' button.
A confirmation message will be displayed.
Read this confirmation message prior to tapping on the 'Confirm' button.
A message will be displayed indicating that your Threatened species report has been submitted
successfully.
Tap on the 'OK' button to return to the home screen.
