What does photography mean to you?

that's what someone asked me the other day

and haven't stopped to think about

my answer for a while I think I know

what it means to me

it's all about the story that you're telling and the

connection that you're making

Showing other people the way that you see the world

If you were to ask a hundred

photographers for example to photograph

the same model you'll get a hundred different

viewpoints and that's I think that's

pretty amazing

but for me it's neverabout the final image

is about the emotion behind it

the context that surrounds it

it's their story.

when I photograph people, I want to know their story. That's what fascinates me

I want to connect with my subjects

I honestly think that the photography gear

that i use while it's important

frankly I think it's quite small part of

what makes a good photograph

They're simply tools that allow me to

capture the story and bring to life my vision

what is it that makes a good photograph then?

for me it is grabbing that moment

or that expression in their face and then

time traveling to that time which might

otherwise have been forgotten

it's a visual cue to go back and

remember that time in in your life or

in your work

I like to photograph people with purpose

with with something to share

I want to share their story and the only

way I can do that is to talk to them to

to listen to them

photography is all about communication

before, during, and even after in my opinion

allowing your subject to show

you their vulnerability you know most

people think vulnerability is a weakness

but I actually believe that it's a strength

and I want to fall in love with

everyone I photograph and I hope that they

would fall in love with the experience

that I give them when they sit in front

of my camera

How did they get to where they are?

What struggles are going through now?

What is their happiest moment in life?

Don't be afraid to show them the

vulnerable side to you and they'll do

the same

Growing up my first picked up my camera

when I was only two years old and

photography gave me confidence growing

up actually

I had an excuse hanging from around my neck

I used to struggle with my appearance when I was growing up and

was a bit self-conscious about my weight

and the way I looked so being behind the

camera was perfectly okay for me but

photography brought me out of my shell

and gave me a bit of focus and eventually a

successful business

I want to create the best version of

them and I think the only way I can do

that is to understand where they come from

before the shutter goes off

That journey with person is amazing

every shoot I do is completely different

Every month for the last two years I

have taken time out of my schedule to

organize and shoot one personal project a month

Shooting ideas I've always wanted

to try and I just thought, "That would be cool."

random ideas and this is to get my

creative juices flowing to keep my love

of photography going.

Today I'm setting up latest personal project which is

undoubtedly one of my most personal projects to date

I'm setting up 350 Polaroids and me growing

up and then taking a few self-portraits

with this is my background

I originally thought that this would just be a cool

and fun visual concept but I have found

it so moving to be able to relieve these

memories and see how much I've changed

Personal projects are a great

opportunity to learn not just about your

craft, but about yourself as an artist and as a

person

I now strive to take photos that only I

can take. That Tell a bit of my story and

YOU should take photographs that only

YOU can take

Why Smite Rewards Got Removed From League of Legends - Duration: 10:52.

What's up guys it's me Jeremy!

A lot of people were kinda confused with why Riot decided to remove Smite rewards from

the game, since they gave potentially meaningful choices to junglers, and removing them could

be seen as simplifying the role.

Riot actually addressed this topic with a dev post, so we wanted to go through their

explanation and see what they could have in store for us as a replacement in

the future!

To really understand Riot's design philosophy behind the change, you first need to know

what Riot's goals for the jungle were in Season 7.

Riot Fearless listed the three main goals that needed to be solved to make the most

out of the jungle.

The first is the every class and position should have what Riot calls 'interesting

problems' to solve in the early game.

The second goal was to make the jungle experience more meaningful than just trying to decide

where you can gank - since that favors the ganking junglers specifically, and it makes

games pretty repetitive since it's always about who pulls off the most good ganks in

the early game.

The final goal for the jungle is to make it so that it's more of a balancing act in

the early game - players should have to consider the strengths and weaknesses of their champion

against the jungle if they want to be able to actively gank.

It shouldn't be a free ride where champions like Lee Sin can just easily clear and spend

all day ganking - every jungle champion should be able to affect the game differently, thanks

to factors like how healthily they can clear, how much they need to farm for XP and how

much farm they are willing to sacrifice to be able to pressure the lanes.

So let's talk about smite rewards and tie them into these goals, since that's probably

the easiest way to explain why they weren't working as Riot intended.

They were originally designed to give junglers a way to survive in the jungle after it was

made way more difficult - but Riot didn't want laners to be able to abuse the power

of the jungle rewards themselves.

The assumption was that having different smite rewards would give Riot a good way to balance

different junglers against the challenges they faced, but when the smite buffs released

they quickly became really divisive.

Some champions could abuse the buffs to an insane level and become super strong in the

jungle, while other champions were left in the dust.

That meant Riot then had to start weakening the camps and the smite rewards themselves,

otherwise the junglers that could abuse the bonuses would just be the only ones usable

in the new meta.

Nerfing the smite rewards came with one severe drawback though - they were fun because they

were impactful, and the less important they were rendered, they less fun they were for

the players to use.

The Smite reward system was designed to be a kind of 'work in progress' that Riot

could change - like testing out different buff types, so that they could tweak and improve

the system over time in order to keep multiple types of jungler viable - from farming tanks

to early gank powerhouse gankers.

Actually the smite buffs were inherently limited, because they couldn't be too strong without

causing a stale meta, so the amount of design space that Riot had with the buffs was really

lower.

It was also discovered that proper usage of the buffs wasn't really happening - the

pro players might for example know when to take exactly which buff was needed at the

time, and they would save their smite for that specific camp.

For the rest of the player base, junglers would just smite as usual whenever they had

it available or wanted a fast clear, and the buff wasn't really relevant - maybe just

a happy bonus if it ended up being useful.

Outside of meta strategies like smiting krugs for an easier clear, buffs weren't being

utilised to a point where Riot thought they were worth keeping around.

Combine that with the fact that making them strong enough to solve issues also would cause

a stale meta, and you're left with a system that has little to no impact on the game that

only the pro players with really good game sense and knowledge can get a benefit out

of.

The jungle these buffs were built into was actually relatively stable - the aim of it's

design was to improve the number of champions that were viable to play in it, but most of

this was down to the jungle monster gold and experience rewards and jungle items.

Every time Riot tried to change the jungle, they tried to tweak the Smite rewards to fix

the problem, but they just weren't sufficient for the task at hand, so they were pretty

much failing in their design.

Let's say for example that the pro players were building strategies around stealing jungle

monsters from the enemy camps in the early game - it ended up making more sense to change

the camp in question directly, rather than trying to change the smite buffs to stop that

happening.

And so, Riot made the decision to remove the smite buffs.

It was held off until pre-season since it would be a huge change to pro players who

used them effectively, and it would require a full re-balance of the jungle since Riot

would need to find a way to make it viable for different jungle champions types to actually

play in the jungle without being rendered useless because they wouldn't have access

to things like the stun from the Krugs smite buff.

It also gave them plenty of time to figure out ways to solve those earlier mentioned

design goals, without trying to force a solution using the underwhelming smite buff system.

Riot is pretty confident that they've achieved it, by introducing a few different things

to consider in the jungle that should help them achieve those goals while keeping champion

diversity high.

One of the big ones here is what they are calling route differentiation - Riot is hoping

that the changes to jungle camps will make it so that different champions will take different

routes in the jungle, while also giving them a way to specifically target corner case strategies

or champions that are too weak or too strong.

Previously, jungling was just about whether you had to use spells or autos for clearing

- now it will be more about which camps you can tank, which you can clear quickly and

which you can only clear slowly, that kind of thing.

That means specific jungles will shine in different ways - and players can learn how

to optimise their jungle route and know their limits if they want to have enough health

to pull off ganks.

If any particular jungler needs help with their clear, Riot can fix that issue by making

sure they have the strength they need to deal with specific camps, and that way they don't

affect the rest of the jungle champions like they would if they were making the change

to smite buff.

The next point Riot has considered for the new jungle is what they call 'jungle uptime,'

which is essentially how long junglers can sustain and stick around farming the jungle.

Originally, most of this came from smiting red buff, which was a super powerful tool

since it means you could gain enough health to gank while also having an awesome buff

for ganking with since it gives you bonus damage.

This is actually why Riot moved some health return onto Smite - it gives players a way

to sustain in the jungle without feeling like they have to find a specific camp to use it

on, and it sticks around as a trick that junglers can use while duelling, since let's be honest

it's super cool when a 1v1 happens in the jungle and one of the junglers smites red

buff to stay alive and wins the fight.

With the health return on Smite regardless of which camp you use it on, this could be

a trick that happens way more often.

The last thing that Riot is offering as consolation to players that will miss the smite rewards

are new vision tools.

Originally both the Raptor and Wolf smites were used to gain or deny vision, in fact

they were probably the most well used out of all the smite buffs.

Riot know that removing those tools means junglers will have less access to vision,

so they are making sure they bake new tools into the game.

For Assassins that means things like the new Duskblade passive that causes a blackout and

disables wards when they are spotted by a ward, and it also includes tools like the

new Scryer's Blooms plants and Control wards that should allow for some level of objective

control.

Overall it seems like Riot are definitely more aware of the issues of specific mechanics

than the players are, so it's natural that some changes might come as a surprise to players.

It's quite reassuring to know that they have plans in place to make up for the loss

of the smite buffs, and they definitely want to keep the jungle as diverse as possible.

Anyway that just about wraps things up for today's video on the Smite Rewards - it's

too soon to tell if the new jungle will promote diversity enough to match last season, but

at least Riot will be able to make more direct changes to camps and champions to try keep

as many junglers in the meta as possible.

10 Times Disney Movies Stole and Didn't Get Caught! - Duration: 7:32.

There are more remakes and sequels being released than original films today but than again are

they really original?

Films reuse plotlines over and over again but that's okay because they usually find

a plotline twist that we love and we keep heading into theaters.

Disney has been making animated films since 1937 and their first film Snow White was based

off a popular Brothers Grimm story.

Still, sometimes their plotlines are closer to films that have already been released and

people are quick to point out the similarities.

Here is Screen Rant's list of ten Times Disney Stole Ideas From Other Popular Movies.

Stick around to the end of the video for a Frozen fact that you might not have known.

Aladdin

Nearly thirty years in the making, Miramax released The Thief And The Cobbler in 1995.

Miramax, which was a subsidiary of Disney at the time was supposed to beat Aladdin into

theater but did not.

When watching the two films it is impossible not to see the similarities.

Both villains had a bird as a partner in crime, numerous costumes looked the same and the

villain in Cobbler looked a great deal like Aladdin's Genie.

Both of these films are considered classic animations today, even if you see the similarities.

Toy Story

The story of toys coming to life when humans aren't around and these toys having their

own secret life was the plotline of a Jim Henson special released in 1986.

Henson released a special called, The Christmas Toy where the protagonist is desperate to

keep his status as the favorite toy.

When a new toy arrives that is space themed she doesn't believe she is a toy.

Doesn't that sound familiar to the story line of 1996's Toy Story?

It's okay Disney has worked with the Henson team for many years and today they even own

The Muppets.

Wait till you see which film's plotline is similar to Toy Story 2.

Monsters Inc.

A monster living under your bed isn't a new concept but having a portal to a world

of monsters is a little more unique.

In the 1989 film, Little Monsters, Fred Savage follows a blue furry, horn toting monster

into a monster world.

In Monsters Inc. an adorable little girl follows a big blue monster into her closet to another

monster world.

The few people who have actually a seen both films saw the similarities but there is less

in common than there is in common.

Now if Fred Savage returned to this monster land to go to college, than we might have

an issue with Disney.

The Incredibles

2004's The Incredibles is about a family of four with these super powers: Superhuman

strength, ability to be invisible, super speed; and the ability to stretch and flex like rubber.

Another story of four superheroes with superpowers is The Fantastic Four, with their superpowers

being: Superhuman strength, ability to be invisible, ability to generate flames and

fly and the ability to stretch and flex like rubber.

Three out of four are the same but what happens when baby Jack-Jack finds his powers?

He can self-combust, levitate and teleport; that sounds pretty close to us.

The Lion King

The Lion King was billed as Disney's first big animated feature that wasn't a retelling

of a fairytale or a previous story.

So when the similarities to the Japanese-created American television cartoon series called,

Kimba The White Lion was revealed it was a little shocking.

From the plotline to the strong image of a lion standing atop Pride Rock, all of this

can be seen in the cartoon series.

Still Disney states that The Lion King was based off Bambi and Hamlet despite the similarities.

You remember the scene with Bambi's departed parent talking to them as a cloud.

Oh wait, that was Kimba's parent.

Toy Story 2

The filmmakers behind Toy Story must love Jim Henson's work as much as we do.

Toy Story 2 has a very similar plotline to 1985's Follow That Bird, starring Big Bird.

Big Bird leaves Sesame Street and finds other birds more like him, he gets kidnapped and

forced to perform in a circus.

His family from Sesame Street saves him and he goes back to his home where he truly belongs.

Woody leaves his home when a toy collector steals him.

Winds up with cowboy characters just like him and he's going to be displayed in a

museum but is ultimately saved by his friends and returns home.

Luckily Toy Story 3 doesn't have any Henson similarities or we would start to wonder.

Toy Story 3

Speaking of the Toy Story franchise, we all know how important John Lasseter is to the

Pixar studios.

Did you know he worked on the story for a Disney film called, The Brave Little Toaster?

In both films a kid goes off to college and through a misunderstanding his toys or appliances

are taken away.

The films are about the adventures of these toys making their way back to their owner,

both having a life or death scene at the city dump.

Robin Hood

When Walt Disney died in 1966, it took a long time for the studio to release another animated

hit.

One of the reasons was that the studios were cutting back the budgets of these films and

the filmmakers had to find ways to cut their costs.

One trick was to re-draw over previous cells made for other Disney films.

They even went as far back to their first animated release of Snow White for the film

Robin Hood.

This is one-way Disney stole from the old and gave to the new.

Cars

1991's Doc Hollywood starred Michael J. Fox as a doctor who crashes his car into a

fence at a small town.

The judge sentences him to community service and he soon comes to respect the town's

old fashion doctor.

Once he is able to leave he wants to return to his newfound home.

Looks like Disney said, "I love that car crash scene but the people ruin this movie".

So they got rid of the people and changed the storyline a little and we got the animated

film Cars.

Still, we don't remember any scene with a car coming our of the water without her

hood down.

Frozen

The story of a Snowman that comes to life is nothing new but tell that to animator Kelly

Wilson who made the 2009 short The Snowman.

In Frozen's teaser, Olaf sneezes off his nose and Kristoff's reindeer Sven goes after

that carrot nose.

In The Snowman, after the snowman looses his nose bunnies try to take it from him.

Some of the shots are even identical to Disney's teaser.

Either way the movie Frozen melted our hearts and The Snowman was adorable to watch too.

A few good things that happened this year! - Duration: 3:26.

This year hasn't been a good year, as a

matter of fact we witness an odd year from

the United States getting it's very

unusual president-elect to Britain

taking the exit from the European Union

and from our Earth facing continuous

temperature rise to Zika virus spreading

over in Americas we witnessed some of the

most extreme horrors of genocide all

over the world this year. And on top of

that we watched some of the greatest

World Legends left us and frankly

there's not a lot we can do about any

of this.

Instead let's try and reflect on a few

good things that actually happened this

year. This year extreme poverty was at its

lowest. World tiger count Rises for the

first time in 100

years and giant pandas are no longer

considered endangered species. Crispr

a very precise and efficient gene

editing tool is in the works now, this

technology has the potential to remove

cancer cells, remove diseases like

malaria from the mosquitoes without

killing them and not only that in future

you can design your own babies. But

obviously that is up for debates. The

cancer treatment trials are taking place

now and we'll still no success rate of

this technology. The ozone layer is

finally repairing itself next all the

work that was put in getting rid of the

aerosol chemicals. We discovered that a

century later

Einstein was correct again and that

gravitational waves do exist

this confirms that minute distortions to

occur in space-time fabric when

something like two black holes collide.

This will give us another means to

observe astrophysical universe. Remember

that ALS ice bucket challenge,

well that brought some good news, we are

closer to effective treatment of ALS

disease, we found a gene that is

responsible for the disease. And SpaceX

was able to land its first launch rocket

they didn't do it once they did it five times this

is rocket science and its best. European

Space Agency's Rosetta spacecraft was

able to land its Philae lander on the

comet 67p and Juno finally made it

Jupiter right now it is an orbit around

the planet it is taking some amazing

close-ups the planet.

We found a planet in the habitable zone

around the nearest star Proxima Centauri. A solar plane

made history after completing

round-the-world trip, it spent more than

23 days in air and it made 16 stops

across the world. Two astronaut Scott

Kelly and Mikhail Kornienko spent a year in

space station, trying to get the feel of

long-duration spaceflight. Talking about

long-duration spaceflight Elon

Musk announced that he will be landing

people on Mars by 2024, if that's not cool,

I don't know what it is and how can forget

Pokemon GO and last but not the least

this channel, this channel started

producing content this year that has to

count for something.

Jokes aside 2016 did suck a little but it also

brought upon us a few great things that

happened this year and many reasons to

be cheerful about, let's throw the negativity away and

wrap this year on a high and I will see you next

year!
