Hi, my name is Bianca and I will be answering the first two questions off of the discussion board so first what does
society typically think of minorities
I
think typically that when you hear minority you think of a group that is smaller than obviously smaller than the majority and
That is categorized whether it be by race your religion
Economic status background anything like that and I
Think that it's not common. It's not uncommon for people to view
minorities as less and as not important and
others think of themselves and I
Don't think that that's fair and I believe that it's putting out a message that
minorities are not as capable of doing as much as those in the majority category and
It's not fair because just because you are unaware of what these minorities beliefs are how they live their life
Because you don't understand how they live their life does not give people the right to view them as less yes, they're different
we all are we are all different from each other, but it does not make either one less or more than the other and
to answer the second question, what do
what does society typically think of those with disabilities I believe that the beliefs and
views of those with disabilities, it's very similar to those of minorities it is common for
people with disabilities to be viewed as less just because again they are different and
It's almost as if disabled people are placed in a group that is
Incapable of doing just as much as those who are not disabled however depending on your disability it
It is true that along tasks are difficult for those with disabilities
And a lot of things will be a lot harder to accomplish, and you will need the assistance of others
But it doesn't make these people
Less important it does not make these
people less
Capable it does not give them less worth and that
typically tends to be the message that is put out in society and to
Those who are in the majority category if something is not considered normal to their standards
Or it is completely unknown or they just do not understand it at all these people will not be
Empathetic and they'll be negative towards all the differences and not realize that
People with disabilities are just as important and people who are in the minority or just as important
I think it's all rooted back to ignorance
And if you're ignorant of the way one person lives and ignorant of the way
One person has to deal with the disability then it
will bring forth negative
Views on these people and that is how society tends that is sadly how society tends to view these people these days
