Choosing The Right Type Of Video To Maximise YouTube Results - Duration: 5:34.One issue that adds to the confusion surrounding videos on YouTube are the
different names applied to the videos. You have videos with names such as
Teaser, Review, Thank You, Talking Heads, Testimonial, Welcome, Explainer and
Animated - to name just a few. Each video has its own purpose and it's up to the
video owner/business owner to determine and identify where each type
of video should be applied to gain the best results. So which video is right for
you? Stay tuned to find out more......
Hi my name
is Jeff Laming from Video Cashflow and in this video I'll briefly explain what
each of these types of video means and when they should and can be used. Now
before we do so, if this is the first time you're watching a Video Cashflow
video and you like what you see, hear and read, then please click the Subscribe
button at the bottom of this video to get weekly access to videos on video
marketing and business tips, tactics, techniques and strategies that can help
you with your own online business. Now you've probably noticed many videos on YouTube
that run for anything up to over an hour. Jeez - some people really need to get a
life! And have you noticed how much of a time stealer that YouTube (just like
Facebook) is? It's so easy to get distracted, and before you know it, you've
wasted an hour two - if not longer! I'm going to go through now and briefly explain
the types of videos that I mentioned earlier. Now the first one is the "Teaser"
video. This is my favourite because it's a short 30 to 90 second snappy video thats
sole purpose really is to get viewers off of YouTube and over to your landing
page or website. The second type of video is the "Review" video. Now this is an ideal
video for product reviews. For example, you'll see a lot of Amazon people do a
review of products, where they open the box and everything else like that. Then
you've got the "Talking Heads" videos which is someone just talking about a
certain aspect of the business - you might find it on the website. Next one - there's
the "Testimonial" videos and these are very, very powerful. These are where you get
your clients or customers - satisfied with the products that you've provided for
them or the service you've provided - and they're very happy,
and they'll give a video testimonial so that you can then put it onto your website
or into any other marketing material. The next one is the "Thank You" video and this
is a video that you normally find on the landing page after you've added in your
name and email address to claim a free download, a free gift, or access to a
free video course - for example. Then you've got the "Welcome" video which is
often a video - a short video - again up to 60 seconds that you will find on a
website and of course on your YouTube channel. And then you've got the
Explainer video which is someone doing a video explaining the features of either
a product or service or a business. Then you've got the animated type of video
which normally tends to be used by people who don't like appearing in the video
themselves. I don't think that they're particularly powerful. They certainly
don't replace the human element and I'm sure that there's a purpose for them in
certain circumstances but personally, I would try and avoid animated videos
especially if you're looking to them as a substitute for putting real people on
the film. So that's a brief rundown of the types of videos. Hope that's been useful.
Now what I'll do now, we'll now go through and talk about the Teaser video
which is my favourite video and I'll give you some details of that coming up. So a
tactic to use as a business owner is this: create a short video of no more
than 90 seconds (less if possible) with a strong call-to-action directing the
viewer to your website or landing page or optin box. Now this may appear to be a bit
contradictory. We're using YouTube and video to generate more business for you
but we want to get viewers off of YouTube as quickly as possible? Yes,
that's exactly what the strategy is, because you want to get viewers on
to your email list so you can start marketing to them with YouTube ads,
Facebook ads, email and other marketing techniques including offline marketing
such as postcards and leaflet dropping. And of course, this all depends on the
type of business and business model that you operate with. Hopefully that's got
the old grey matter thinking about what YouTube and video can now do for
your business, and what your business can now offer
your existing and potentially new clients. To find out more go to
