Toastmasters is a public speaking club that meets at Sacramento State University
during the school semester.
The mission of the club is to provide a mutually supportive
and positive learning environment in which every member
has the opportunity to develop communication
and leadership skills, which in turn foster
self-confidence and personal growth!
This is achieved through speaking roles, some that require preparation
and others that are improv, such as our Table Topic questions.
15+ people participate in Table Topics in a meeting.
They answer a question by the Topics Master in a 1-2 minute improv speech.
This practice over time along with the other meeting roles
help to dramatically improve your abilities in communication and leadership.
The meetings are an hour and a half and go by fast
because you are engaged the entire time!
Attending the club is a great way to make friends,
have fun, and develop crucial professional skills.
Sign up on our contact list to get the info for our next meeting.
There's no cost to attend, everyone is welcome whether you are a CSUS
student or not, and you can join in at any time during the
semester.
We hope to see you there!
