Waching daily Apr 6 2017

Hi I'm Pete and unfortunately there is no vote this week

because I've been so busy that I haven't had a chance

to film the challenge that you guys voted for last week

but that video will be up next week and then the schedule should be back to normal hopefully

but for right now I didn't want to leave you guys

with nothing to watch on this Thursday

so I've got a nice little video

that I filmed a while back for you to enjoy called

Ketchup Bobbing

Delicioso!

Here I have over 24 litres of ketchup

in amongst all the ketchup are 10 tomatoes

and I have 1 minute to find as many tomatoes as possible

and using only my mouth get them out of the bucket

however many tomatoes I fail to find within that minute

will then be slingshot at me

That's gonna hurt.

This is gonna be disgusting.

Three... Two... One...

I couldn't see the bowl!

This is the most disgusting thing I've ever done

How do I look? Can you flip the camera thing over

That's brilliant

This is really good hair gel

Let's find out how many tomatoes I got.

One

Two

Three

I feel like I'm on I'm a Celebrity, four

Five, six

Seven

Seven, ok, I'm being shot 3 times

AYDIN: That was so close!

PETE: It scraped me, I think it scraped my head

Ow! Yep, that one hit

PETE: Headshot!

My hand.

That really hurt

Oh that hurt because my hand is so cold as well

So thank you for watching Ketchup Bobbing, if you enjoyed it

give it a thumbs up and subscribe for new videos every Thursday

Thank you for watching, goodbye.

10 Video Games That Caused Real Life Deaths! - Duration: 11:07.

- It's all fun and games--

(operatic singing)

Video games can be a fun way to pass the time,

especially when playing with other friends.

But what happens when one's competitive spirit

goes too far?

What happens when the urge the play

becomes anything but a game?

These are 10 video games that caused real life death.

(electrical buzzing)

Number one is Halo 3.

On October 20th, 2007, 16 year old Daniel Petric

of Wellington, Ohio, shot his mother and father

in the head with a handgun that he stole

from the family safe.

Daniel had been playing a lot of the sci-fi

first-person shooter, Halo 3,

which he had secretly purchased without his father's consent

and had been playing almost non-stop

up until his mother caught him.

Daniel's father punished him by taking the game disc away

and placing it in the safe next to his handgun.

Daniel stole the key, used it to retrieve the game,

and decided to also take the handgun,

and told his parents to close their eyes

because he had a surprise for them.

His mother, Susan, died of a gun shot to the head,

but Mark, his father, survived only to learn

that his son tried to frame him with the murder/suicide.

Daniel was caught and given 25 years to life for the crime.

Number two is Diablo 3.

An 18 year old boy from Taiwan named Chuang,

died on July 15, 2012, after he used a private room

in an internet cafe to play the popular PC RPG game

Diablo 3 for 40 hours straight, without eating or resting.

He was an avid gamer,

and upon release of the third installment

of his favorite game, he couldn't get enough.

After the marathon, an employee came to check on him,

and found him asleep in a room.

Upon waking up, he stood and walked a few steps,

before collapsing to the floor

from a blood clot that had formed in his leg,

and then traveled to his heart, killing him where he stood.

He was pronounced dead following his arrival

at the hospital, all because he couldn't take a break

from his favorite game.

Number three is World of Warcraft.

Xao Ye, a 13 year old from China,

was an avid player

of the online massively multi-player game World of Warcraft.

He played Warcraft so often

that he found he couldn't bear not to play it for too long.

When asked by his parents about his gaming addiction,

he claimed to be hopeless,

and that he could no longer control himself,

or curb his need to keep playing.

His addiction was taking a major toll on his life,

with the vast majority of his time

being spent staying in internet cafes for days,

sometimes without eating.

Xao finally decided that he had enough,

and one day jumped off a 24 floor building to his death.

He left a suicide note, disturbingly written

as it if were from an actual video game character,

stating that he wished to be reunited

with three of his friends who played the game online

in the afterlife.

Number four is Starcraft.

Lee Seung Seop walked into an internet cafe

on August 3rd, 2005 in South Korea,

and started playing Starcraft,

a popular real-time strategy game.

His gaming session lasted 50 hours,

in which time he barely ate or drank anything,

and would only pause the game to go to the washroom.

On August 5th, Lee's friends discovered him in the cafe

and made him promise to return home,

which he did, but died of heart failure

shortly after they left.

His death was brought on by extreme exhaustion

and dehydration that his body was experiencing.

Lee had cared so much about playing Starcraft,

that he forgot to care about himself

or anything in his life, for that matter.

Previously, Lee had played the game so often,

that he ruined social relationships

and was even let go from his job,

because he would always arrive late.

Lee's story gained worldwide attention

and after that, gaming addiction has become

a more serious issue in South Korea ever since.

Number five are Xbox games.

In 2008, in the city of Philadelphia,

Tyrone Spellman brutally beat his 17 month old daughter,

Alayiah Spellman after she accidentally pulled

on the cords to his Xbox console and caused it to fall.

He would spend 6-7 hours a day playing games on his Xbox,

and when Alayiah caused it to fall and crash,

it sent Tyrone into a violent rage.

He cracked his daughters skull multiple times,

and even threw her across the room.

She died from the physical trauma he inflicted,

while her oblivious mother slept soundly

in the room next to them.

Tyrone confessed to the crime the next day,

but changed his mind and tried to explain

that he was confessing to save his wife,

and that Alayiah had just fallen off the bed

and gotten all of her wounds.

He was found guilty of third degree murder

and child endangerment

and was sentenced to 47 years behind bars.

Number six is Legend of Mir 3.

In March of 2005, 41 year old Qiu Chengwei

won a powerful and rare sword called the Dragon Saber

online in a game called Legend of Mir 3.

He lent the sword to his friend,

26 year old Zhu Caoyuan, and Zhu unexpectedly

sold the sword to another player for $871 in real money,

all without Qiu's knowledge.

He was so outraged when he found out,

that he went to the police station in Shanghai,

only to learn that they could not take any action

against Zhu because of the lack of laws

protecting the theft of property acquired in online games.

When he did not receive his weapon back,

or any money from the transaction,

he went to Zhu's home and broke in while he slept.

There, he confronted Zhu, who offered to give him the money,

but Qiu was focused on revenge instead,

and stabbed him to death.

After two hours, he turned himself in

and was later given a suspended death sentence,

which could amount to him spending

the rest of his life in prison.

Number seven are internet cafe games.

On January 8, 2015, a 32 year old man from Taiwan

died in an internet cafe of heart failure

caused by extreme exhaustion.

The unidentified man was unemployed

and had been playing online video games at the cafe

for three full days, only stopping to sleep

with his head on his desk.

Of course, marathons are not that rare

when it comes to things like charity,

where people play for 42 hours straight to raise money,

but playing for 72 hours with no break

is incredibly dangerous.

The cafe staff noticed that he was slumped over on the desk

and believed that he was simply sleeping.

But they soon realized that he wasn't moving

and found he had died earlier that morning.

Apparently the man was well-known at the cafe,

and his family said that he often wouldn't come home

for two or even three days,

because he was there playing computer games.

It would seem that video game addiction

and internet cafes can become a deadly mixture.

Number eight is Lineage 2 Battle Clan.

Lineage 2 is an online massively multiplayer fantasy game,

where players battle each other

for valuable items and glory.

The rivalry between two Russian player clans,

the Platinum clan and the Coo-Clocks clan,

had been taken to a boiling point

when one player was killed unfairly.

This led to the dispute spilling out

of the world of Lineage and onto the real one.

One player from each clan agreed to meet

in the city of Ufa, and while there,

a real-life brawl broke out

and Albert, a 23 year old Platinum clan player

died from his injuries

while he was being taken to the hospital.

The other player in the fight,

a 22 year old Russian man, was charged with murder

soon after the incident.

Following the fight and Albert's death,

the members of the Coo-Clocks Clan

began to harass his family while they grieved over his loss,

and even threatened his sister with harm.

Number nine is Berzerk.

On April 3, 1982, 18 year old Peter Burkowski

and his friend walked into a local arcade

in Calumet City, Illinois.

Peter, a straight A student in high school,

put a quarter into the machine

for a game called Berzerk.

The 1980 Atari arcade game

involves controlling a character that runs around a level

and shoots enemies while the player

tries to avoid their shots.

Within less than 30 minutes,

Peter had received the top score,

entering his initials into the game's leaderboard.

However, moving on to the next game,

Peter was about to start playing

when he instantly dropped dead of a heart attack.

The coroner's examination determined that Peter

had scar tissue around his heart,

and the excitement and stress of playing

had caused his weak heart to simply stop.

This of course was back in the days

when games with simplistic two-dimensional characters

and early graphical effects

were considered to be exhilarating.

Unfortunately for Peter,

who seemed to have his whole life ahead of him,

video games were the unlikely trigger of his early demise.

And number ten is Grand Theft Auto.

On June 7, 2003, 18 year old Devin Darnell Thompson,

also known as Devin Moore, was apprehended on suspicion

of having stolen a car in Fayette, Alabama,

and was taken to a local police station to be processed.

Devin was an avid Grand Theft Auto player,

and decided one day, to act out his in-game fantasy.

While at the station, he managed to steal

a .45 caliber handgun from an officer,

and then used it to shoot Officer Arnold Strickland

and Officer James Crump, and police dispatcher,

Leslie Mealer, all of whom died.

Immediately after the shooting,

Devin stole the keys to a police cruiser and fled the scene.

He was arrested again the same day,

where he confessed, saying that he shot the officers

and ran to avoid going to jail.

Although Devin pleaded not guilty,

he was charged with the three murders,

and on October 9, 2005, he was sentenced to death

by lethal injection.

It was later discovered

that before Devin had shot the officers at the station,

he was quoted as saying, life is a video game.

You've got to die sometime.

So, those were ten video games

that caused real life deaths.

Do you still think it's a game?

Thank you all very much for coming by today.

Remember to come back tomorrow, and every weekday,

at exactly 3 P.M. eastern standard time,

because I'll have a brand new video for you.

I'll see you then.

470 Conflict Video Spring 2017 - Duration: 7:08.

Hello boys and girls

and BOB.

I am here to take you all on a journey.

Today we will be learning about several different conflicts that occur while people are out recreating in the outdoors

We will also learn how to solve these conflicts in order to keep everyone happy.

Let's begin.

Picture this:

You are outside trying to enjoy a wonderful rainy day from the comfort of your very own hammock

When all of a sudden, some punk wanders by blasting his music

Full volume!

You're mad. You ask him to turn it down.

Words are exchanged. He storms off.

You are no longer able to enjoy your day.

This is what happened between mike and Alex one rainy April day. Observe.

"Oh what a beautiful day it is!"

"HEY CAN YOU TURN THAT DOWN?!"

"NO IT'S A FREE COUNTRY! I DON'T GOTTA DO $#!+"

"YOU'RE RUDE! MY DAY IS RUINED!"

CAN'T HEAR YOU!

In this scenario, Mike should've been more considerate of those around him.

In a public space, such as this one, it's not unlikely for people to be out enjoying nature.

A person blasting loud music can be disruptive and ruin the experience.

Mike should have turned his music when Alex confronted him.

"Oh what a beautiful day it is!"

"HEY CAN YOU TURN THAT DOWN?!"

"Most definitely! So sorry man!"

"No worries!"

You see,

Mike turned his music off once Alex asked him to.

This left Alex able to relax in a great mood.

Mike will be able to continue to play his music once he is out of earshot,

as long as he is considerate of others around him.

Now, Picture this.

You are out with your buddies passing a football around.

This is something you all love to do.

You have cleared your busy schedule for this.

All is going well until, all of a sudden, your one friend decides

that PokemonGo is more important than your premium bro bonding moment.

What the heck bruh?!

You yell at him to put the damn thing away and he says no.

His phone means more than you do.

You poke fun at him and he continues to play on his phone. Your friendship is forever damaged.

This happened to a few guys just the other day. Observe.

"What are you doin?"

"Dude c'mon man"

" We're trying to play football here!"

"I GOT STUFF TO DO!"

"GET OFF YOUR PHONE MAN!!!!!"

"ARE WE OUTSIDE OR ARE WE LIKE IN AN OFFICE?!"

"I mean anywhere's an office with a phone..."

In this scenario, Mike and Jordan should not have insulted Alex.

They should have, instead, politely asked him to stay off his phone while they were hanging out.

"Hey man, we're trying to play ball. Could you..?"

"You're right. It's probably not the best time."

"THANK YOU!"

You see,

When you gently reminded your friend how much this activity means to you

he put his phone away and enjoyed the day.

Good job, bruh.

Next one. Picture this.

You are out for a jog and some big shots are blocking the whole trail.

You need to get by.

You are just trying to get your beach bod on.

Don't they care?

NO

They don't.

They ignore you and so you shove your way passed them.

In the process, you break your arm.

No more fitness.

A cast doesn't look that good on the beach.

This happened to poor MK this morning on her jog. Observe.

"We are big shots! We need this whole trail. We rule the trails!"

"ya"

"HEY EXCUSE ME I'M TRYING TO RUN ON THIS TRAIL!!!!"

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! THIS IS NOT EVEN YOUR TRAIL!"

"OW MY ARM!"

There are two things wrong with this scenario.

The first was that Alex and Mike chose not to move over enough to make room for MK while she was running on the path.

The second was that MK chose to AGGRESSIVELY push passed the two of them while they stood their ground.

The correct thing for both parties to do in this scenario would be to share the space with one another!

"We like to share trails with runners. That is what is fun and right!"

"ya"

"Excuse me, I'm behind you!"

"thank you!"

"NO PROBLEM!"

You see,

When MK loudly announced that she was coming,

the walkers were able to move temporarily so MK could get by.

This is the right way to share a resource.

Everyone should do this.

All right guys.

Last one.

You and your best friend are out on a neature walk.

You stumble upon a bearded man in the forest about to carve his name into a poor,

innocent tree.

Where is the Lorax when you need him?

You have to step in.

You both berate him.

You make him feel worthless for wanting to show off his calligraphy.

He didn't know this was wrong but you don't care.

All you care about is making him feel so ashamed that he will never show his bearded face in this forest again.

This is no made up scenario.

This happened to Alex Jordan and Mike, 5 years ago to the day

Observe.

"Woah Man! YOU CAN'T BE DOIN THAT!"

"WHY?!"

"YOU'RE DESTROYING THE TREE!!!"

"I'M LEAVING MY MARK!!"

"WHO ARE YOU?!?! THIS TREE'S BEEN HERE FOR YEARS!"

"DOESN'T MATTER I'LL DO WHAT I WANT!"

In this scenario, it's obvious that Alex was oblivious to the harm he was about to cause to the tree.

Mike and Jordan should have chosen to educate him on the matter rather than belittle him.

"Hey man. What're you doin?"

"I was just gonna put my initials in.."

"Oh, did you know that hurts the tree?"

"..really?"

"Yeah!"

"You could kill him."

"Oh crap. Thanks man!"

"WE'RE SORRY FRIEND!"

You see.

When Jordan and Mike tried to teach Alex the importance of protecting a tree's bark,

the tree was no longer in danger.

Great Job Jordan and Mike.

You made me and the Lorax very proud.

My Edited Video - Duration: 3:12.

Hi everyone!

In this assignment you will be learning about acid base reactions by creating a survey,

blog post, and powerpoint presentation.

The information you will be using in these different technologies can all be found through

some basic online research.

I noticed a big thing with students is that they always want to see where the information

they are learning in school can be related to or used in real life because it allows

them to put more meaning to the content.

Well good news this project you will be able to do this!

I feel that it is not only important for you to be able to recognize a base and an acid

but to see where and how they are used in everyday life.

The first part of your assignment will involve you getting familiar with some common acids

and bases.

We are going to focus on acids and bases that can be found in your households.

In this assignment you will be creating a poll of what chemicals family members use

in their houses.

This could be exciting to them because they may not realize the chemical makeup of things

they eat on a daily basis such as fruits!

This data collected from this will be used later in a powerpoint that you will present

to the class.

You will become so familiar with the common acids and bases after this assignment that

you won't even have to worry about memorizing them.

The second part of your assignment will involve each of you to create a blog post on google

blogger.

Google blogger is so important because it allows for you to be creative when completing

a written assignment for school.

You are also able to view other students' posts and bounce ideas off of each other.

This would be an especially good tool to use for creative group projects.

The purpose of the blog post is to help you to learn the 7 strong acids which could be

found on a question for the regents exam along with the 8 strong bases.

You will also be required to provide reactions that include some of these acids and bases.

It will also help you to realize the basic process of how an acid reacts with a base.

These too are questions that you will find on a regents exam.

For the third part of this assignment you will be creating a presentation on google

slides. This is where you're poll data comes back in!!

Google tools are so helpful because you can collaboratively work together with your partner

or group members without even being in the same room as them.

They also provide google docs and forms that can be shared between group members so that

everybody can work on the same assignment at the same time.

This can be done by the creator sharing the document with the other members' email giving

them the editing ability.

In your presentation you will be including slide that address whatever acid base reactions

that interest you and a basic definition of an acid base reaction.

A PH scale should be included in this because it is something you need to know for exams.

You will be pulling on information for the first part of your assignment (the poll) on

chemicals in the household to show where they fall on the PH scale.

. I hope that learning about these through various forms of technology will interest

you more than just reading it out of a textbook.

next lesson we will be learning how to balance these equations
