Mandala Art by Taylor - Mandala Materials Explained - Duration: 2:35.

Hey i'm here in downtown Asheville at Jubilee Community Church and today I want to give

you a quick look at the three different materials that I make these mandalas on.

The first kind is a canvas gallery wrap and most of you are probably familiar with these.

Museum quality canvas gets wrapped around a 1.5" inch stretcher frame, and the back

is finished with black matte paper and a sawtooth hanger so you can hang it on a nail or a screw

or a mounting rod or cable or anything like that.

The next style that I offer is the same canvas that's wrapped around a hard mounting board.

So I call these canvas float wraps.

When you put them on the wall, it looks like they're floating because they have these spacers

on the back.

This is where you hang, and this creates an even spacing.

So it's the same museum quality canvas as the gallery wraps, it's just finished in a

different way.

The third kind is a metal print.

Unlike the other two which are, which have a matte finish, the metal prints are glossy,

and they are super super vibrant and vivid.

They work well in situations where there's not going to be a glare.

You can see right there the glare coming into the camera.

They're finished in the same way that the canvas float prints are finished, with spacers

on the back.

These also look like they're floating off of the wall.

For the smaller prints, this is printed on archival paper and it's mounted on what's

called black styrene, which is a composite material that's resistant to changes in temperature

and humidity.

You could put this up without a frame and display it just like that.

I think they look better in frames, but it would be okay just to have this out.

Obviously you would probably take the plastic off first.

These arrive in plastic, and these arrive totally wrapped up and taped and safely shipped

as well.

Those are the four different kinds.

THEY ARE VERY SLIPPERY.

THERE ARE FORTUNATELY NO SERIOUS

INJURIES.

RIGHT NOW WE HAVE A WINTER STORM

WARNING IN EFFECT ALONG COASTAL

AREAS DOWN TO THE CAPE AND THE

ISLANDS.

WE ARE TALKING BLIZZARD WARNINGS

ALL THE WAY TO TOMORROW MORNING

AND A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY,

WE ARE LOOKING AT MUCH SNOW

FALLING, BUT STILL INCREDIBLE

BANDS OF SNOW.

WE HAVE A HEAVY BAND RIGHT

THERE.

THIS HEAVY STUFF IS REALLY

STARTING TO LIFT NORTHWARD.

AROUND THE CITY, WE HAVE THE

HEAVIEST ALONG LIMIT IN TOTTEN,

THE CAPE COD CANAL.

THIS IS LIFTING NORTHWARD.

ANOTHER LIFTING ITS WAY

NORTHWARD, OUT HERE IT IS MUCH

COLDER.

THIS IS MUCH FLUFFIER THAN ON

THE COAST.

IT'S PILING UP A LOT FASTER OUT

THERE.

KEEP IN MIND THIS WILL ALL START

TO LIFT ITS WAY UP AND AS THE

STORM SYSTEM STARTS TO INTENSIFY

OFFSHORE, IT WILL LIFT ITS WAY

OUT.

HOW MUCH SNOW?

12 TO 12

-- 12 TO 18 INCHES OF

SNOW ON THE CAPE.

BOSTON, AS I

MENTIONED, IT WILL BE A FLUFFIER

SNOW.

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?

5:00, IT

LOOKS PRE-MUCH EXACTLY

LIKE RIGHT NOW.

WE ADVANCE TO 7:00.

STILL INTENSE SNOW.

BY 9:00, STILL SNOWING HEAVILY,

BUT LETTING UP IN THE WESTERN

PART OF THE STATE.

THEN IT BEGINS TO MAKE ITS WAY

OF SURE AND AFTER MIDNIGHT, IT

SERVES TO PUSH OFFSHORE AND MOVE

COMPLETELY OUT OF HERE.

TOMORROW, LOTS OF SUNSHINE.

KEEP IN MIND, THAT WIND IS GOING

TO BE STRONG.

BECAUSE OF THE WIND WE WILL SEE

BLIZZARD LIKE CONDITIONS ALONG

THE COAST.
