Gosh (Cover) — Wanderers (by Erik Wernquist) - Duration: 4:47.
We were wanderers from the beginning.
When the drought was prolonged, or when an unsettling chill lingered in the summer air,
our group moved on—sometimes to unknown lands.
We sought a better place.
We could always begin again.
When the climate was congenial, though, when the food was plentiful, we were willing to
stay put.
Unadventurous.
Overweight.
Careless.
In the last ten thousand years—an instant in our long history— we've abandoned the
nomadic life.
We've domesticated the plants and animals.
Why chase the food when you can make it come to you?
For all its material advantages, the sedentary life has left us edgy, unfulfilled.
Even after 400 generations in villages and cities, we haven't forgotten.
The open road still softly calls, like a nearly forgotten song of childhood.
We invest far-off places with a certain romance.
This appeal, I suspect, has been meticulously crafted by natural selection as an essential
element in our survival.
Herman Melville, in Moby Dick, spoke for wanderers in all epochs and meridians,
he said: "I am tormented
with an everlasting itch for things remote.
I love to sail forbidden seas . . ."
These days there seems to be nowhere left to explore,
at least on the land area of the Earth.
Victims of their very success
the explorers now pretty much stay home.
Better places will always call to us.

HAUL VEGAN : Soultanicals, the Vegan Afro Hair Care brand - Duration: 8:33.
Hello my foodies!!
After some busy weeks, i'm back again I was a bit busy during the Christmas holidays
so i could not make videos, sorry for that.I hope you had a nice Christmas & New Year Eve.
I hope the beginning of this year was as good and positive as possible!!
We will start the year with vegan product for Afro hair :)
Let me introduce you to the brand : Soultanicals
The creator of the brand is named Ayo, she's Afro American and sells her product in the US
in Europe and in other continents, even in Africa.
If i'm not mistaken, the brand was created 4 or 5 years ago.
I have started to use her product 2 or 3 years ago
But it's only a year and half ago that i learnt her products were vegan.
All her products are vegan, some of them have the "cruelty free" label, with the white bunny
some products can have the organic label too.
To me, being able to buy her products is just amazing!!
The advantage : you have a large panel of different products.
Depending on the season of the year, you can have bundles : shampoo, deep conditioner ect..
The only problem : it is coming from US = shipping ^^'
If you don't live in US, shipping isn't free x)
To give you an idea, last black friday, i had to pay 35€ (36$) for shipping only!
But! at that time, compared to the French seller, i saved approx 40 euros, that's why i ordered directly to her website anyways.
It's important to know that fact. You also have to acknowledge an important fact : if you order's value is up to 100$
you will have to pay from 29 to 40/45 € for the custom (the price can be higher though) and it's in addition to the shipping :)
But don't worry, you can also buy Soultanical's product in France :)
You can order her product in the following websites :
karawes, colorfulblack, la beauté noire and the curlshop (frizzycurly is a blog i made a mistake xD)
All the websites are down below in the description box, you will choose your own retailer :)
The only problem with the French website is they don't sell all Soultanical's products.
Or at least, the products i am used to use x) Here in my hair routine :)
The bottle of the first product was damaged because of water so i can't show it to you (it's a shampoo).
Anyways! You can have 2 types : shampoo bar or cleansers
I have both but i have been using the cleanser for the past couple of month (in the picture on the right)
This shampoo is really easy to foam. Bubble are coming really fast so you just need a drop or two for your hair
I've been using the cleanser for a year now and i still have half of the bottle left.
Same for the shampoo bar, it lasts 6 to 8 months.
(the zoom did not work but i will show you the picture of the bundle at the end of the video ^^' )
So when i am making sections of hair i like using this product
which is called : haitian black castor and baobab oil.
For those who know "Miss Antilles" brand, it's the same but without the mint perfume :)
The rest would depend on the hairdo i want to make
it also depends on which product will be more easy to find (my sister and I don't put creams at the same place ^^')
If you are looking for a leavin and a detangler, here are the Knot sauce
the Maroccan silk
There is also another one with a cherry flavor, the bottle is purple (picture on the right)
All those 3 products are for a similar use
the difference will be on texture and flavors. The curl supreme and the Maroccan silk are really liquid.
I often use it when my hair are dry before going out (3 times a week).
If i want to do a hairdo (after washing my hair), i will be more likely to use
those kind of creams : Marula muru,
Here is what i say everytime i see it :
(it's not an invention, it is written on the jar)
You also have the Knot Butta
It is called "can't believe it's Knot Butta"
This one has the label : cruelty free (with the white bunny), vegan
and organic.
Same for the Marula muru.
I often use those 2 regarding on my mood. As i told you, the main difference are in flavors (now i can say marula muru is more liquid than knot butta)
Then, to seal hydratation, i use
Lock'n roll twist and fro out
It's a butter!
On this one, it's only written "certified and soul friendly"
Knowing all her products are vegan
So i used it after using the knot butta.
I will use it afterwards (it's also good to make curls, like a gel)
I aslo took a mask, but it was a mistake. I don't like buying deep conditionners. I like hers, i tried the Afrotastic
and it was amazing, the thing is : it's really hard for me to find time to use them..
I thought i was buying an oil like the "haitian black castor and baobab oil" with a caramel flavor ^^'
but it was a deep conditioner ^^'
I really like the flavor (a strong perfume of caramel), i knew i will like it, but it's a deep conditionner x)
You can use it one or twice a week.
Here are Soultanical's product I am currently using.
I tried several products of hers like the knot kokoa
It really smells like cocoa butter it's just amazing I really like this one.
So I only showed you the products i had at the moment.
Do not hesitate to check on her website frequently, she often has new products.
If you like to try new products, you will enjoy trying Soultanical's.
That's all for today,
here is a question for you guys, did you know Soultanicals?
If yes, what are your favorite products?
If not, do you know another vegan afro hair care brand which will be nice to try?
I will be please to try and make a video about them.
I will see you guys in the next video,
waiting for that, eat a lot of vegetables, drink a lot of water
but first and foremost : keep smiling :)
Deuces!

Face & Body Painting Tutorial | Sideways Butterfly - Duration: 4:16.
Hey guys!
In this video, I'm gonna show you how to paint a sideways butterfly!
Use black, white and 2 different shades of any colors you like.
I usually only use #4 brush for this design but you can use #2 as well for fine line work if you prefer.
First, paint this triangle shape, kind of like a guitar pick, with a #4 brush.
And then add a rounder one underneath it.
Then, paint the back wing like this,
and another back wing behind the bottom shape like so.
I then load my brush with the second color, and paint it in the center part of the wings.
As you can see, I don't paint this on the top back wing so it looks more realistic.
Next, load the same brush with black, and paint a teardrop as the body like this,
add a dot on top for the head.
And then paint 2 teardrops towards the head for the antennas.
Now, to outline the wings, I paint 2 teardrops on the top like so,
this is so I can get thin lines towards the body.
Then go along the shape like so.
Make the right side of the wings thicker.
Don't forget to paint the bottom one at the back,
Now, you can either swap the brush to #2 to paint the veins in, or keep going with #4, it's up to you.
Draw a curved line like this, then repeat underneath,
and add few small lines coming out from them like this.
Now draw a rain-drop shape in the center of the bottom wing,
and add lines spreading out from it like so.
and then add little lines on the bottom wings like this.
Next, load #4 brush with white and fill in the thick part of the black with dots.
Highlight the body and the head,
and that's it!
This is very similar to the other butterfly video we made,
I'll put a link to the other video at top of the screen, so check it out!
Once you know the basic shape of the butterfly,
you can even draw all shapes and make any butterfly you want, just like this other one I painted.
I hope you enjoyed this video, I'll see you next time!

Homemade Firework Sparkles Fountain - Duration: 3:42.
Yo wassup everybody, today i will show you guys my homemade.....
I think that its going to be a fountain, but i dont know. I have not tried it yet...
ehmmmmm
ye, a fountain. That i made by my self
I have tried to make something, that looks like this
I am going to show it to you guys in 2 seconds
Where i only used "Storm Matches" in it, because this fountain....
consists of "Sparkles" & "Storm Matches"
like this sparkle...
and storm matches, where i scratches the sulfur off
and put it in the hole
it is ofcourse legally, because they sell it in the marked
and because its something that you can make, by yourself
i can show you this video, that i have right here....
as you can see in this video, the flame was really big
but that was only the storm matches...
so in this one i have here, then i have sparkles. And i hope they will make a crackling effect or something like that...
It is made out of a toilet paper roll, with a layer of duct tape around
i put some string around the duct tape, so the fountain will be stronger...
the powder is only this centimeter deep, its not the whole way down, because i didnt had so much...
and the bottom consists of newspaper, with 2 layers of duct tape around it...
ehmmm
so yes....
my time-fuse is a sparkle
that i put down in the powder....
and then i light up up in the top, so i will set fire in the powder...
and then we will see how big or high the flame will get.....
the video you guys saw before, was made out of 5 storm matches, that turned into a "ok" big flame...
and in this fountain, we have 10 storm matches, and 4 larges sparkles... so i think this one will be bigger
let's go outside, and light this thing up!
[MUSIC]
lets light it up
now we will wait untill the sparkle, will burn the powder, and make a explosion...
[now we will se what happend's]
its soon there..
it needs to be a little more down, before it will hit the "Sparkle powder" and the "Storm Matches powder"
its inside now..
[MUSIC]

Artist Advice | What advice can you give to beginner artists? - Duration: 5:24.
From the years that I've been drawing and trying to get better and better with my art,
I've learnt some things that I thought I'd share with you to answer the question of 'what
advice and tips would I give to fellow artists or beginner artists?'
So here's five things I've learnt as a growing artist.
Practice.
This is probably the most cliché or overused advice, but it is also the fundamental way
for us to learn a skill, develop that skill, and to master that skill.
So if we want to get better at anything we do in life, we have to put the time and effort
into out craft.
That means being consistent, and doing or practicing as often as you can.
This does not mean, however, that we have to draw every single day or every single second
of the day.
What's important is we dedicate time and continue to dedicate time for learning, developing,
and mastering that craft.
So doing something as simple as doodling or five-minute sketches to creating elaborate
finished artworks that take 20 hours all contribute to the improvement of our skills.
It's a trial-and-error process.
As we practice, we will try new things or we will use the same method that worked for
us before, and we will either succeed or fail, but it's a trial-and-error process.
It means that we'll try, and try, and try again until we get our desired results.
And if we fail, then we can cry, sulk or let it out, but afterwards, we'll move on and
try again.
Now this method can get frustrating, tiresome and it can make us want to give up; and it'll
make us question 'why are we even doing this if it gets difficult?'
And that's when we decide whether or not this is our passion, or if this is something
we truly want.
So keep this in mind when experimenting with different styles, media, and techniques as
you try to find what works for you and what doesn't.
Be patient.
This advice does not mean that you have to draw slowly in order to get better at drawing.
It is about our overall growth as artists, and taking our time because the process of
developing our skills is not a race, and it's not a competition.
It is so easy to get discouraged when we see artists who are presumably at a better point
or have achieved more, which makes us question why we're not at their level yet.
But we have to remember that we shouldn't compare our beginning to someone else's
middle.
Concentrate on what you're doing.
Try methods to improve faster, but don't do it because you want to be better than another
artist; do it because you want to be better than yourself.
Be positive.
Our attitude and perspective is everything since it affects out relationship with art
and art making.
It's easy to find faults in our own work.
It's easy to notice what we did wrong in a drawing, and whilst this can help improve
our art, we need to put as much effort into recognising what we did right.
Therefore, reward yourself for small and big achievements.
Pat yourself on the back for finishing something or for simply getting through something.
If we can create a habit of seeing the bright side and having a positive attitude, it can
help us better tackle challenges and moments of doubt.
Lastly, use the resources available.
The Internet has quickly become a huge resource for artists, not just for sourcing inspiration,
finding reference images, and discovering fellow artists, but it is also a great platform
for putting yourself out there.
So if you want to get noticed, you have to tell people that you exist.
Use social media, join communities, and share your art.
This can be daunting, but something scary can be exciting, and it can mark the beginning
of an art career, and it can open up opportunities for you that you've never imagined.
And speaking of resources, I've listed the ones I used to compile this list.
They are all in the description box so use them to your advantage.
I hope you found this helpful and most of all good luck with your art.
Feel free to share in the comments below the best art advice you've received, or share
your advice for other artists, and let's all help each other out!
That is it!
Thank you so much for watching and I will see you in my next one!
