Habari Gani!? That is Swahili for "whats the news?" During Kwanzaa we

utilize Swahili for our greetings. Swahili is also the Pan African

language that will utilized. And we use these greetings to make sure that we are aware

of and stay connected to the seven principles of Kwanzaa. With that being

said hello y'all I am Jordan Bullock. I am the program and communications

assistant here at theAfrican American Cultural Center. I will be your host for these

videos before Kwanzaa starts so welcome. Throughout these videos we will be going

over the seven principles of Kwanzaa the symbols that are associated with Kwanzaa,

the history behind Kwanzaa, and i will have special guests joining us

throughout each day. If you look to my left your right you will see the candles

being lit for each day and we'll start out with Moses.
