Classroom Welcome Video - Duration: 2:08.

Dear Families,

I am very excited to welcome each

and every one of you into our classroom this upcoming school year.

My name is Molly Biittig and I will be your child's teacher this year.

I believe a good way to build relationships with my students and their families

is by getting to know all of you a little bit.

That being said I think that it's also very

important for you to know a little bit about myself.

I grew up in Averill Park, New York, and started working with children

at a very young age.

I started working for Sand Lake Day Camp

in 2013 up until 2017.

This job is what motivated me to attend college to be a teacher.

I graduated from The College of Saint Rose

in 2020 with a Bachelors of Science

after studying Early Childhood and Special Education.

with a concentration in English.

After graduating from undergraduate school I then

attended graduate school through The College of Saint Rose

for Special Education.

I graduated in 2022 with my masters in Special Education.

This school year will be my first year as a teacher

I am excited that I get the opportunity to grow as a teacher

and share some new experiences with you and your child.

Some of my goals for this year are to create a community

within the classroom where students

and families feel as though they are welcome to share their thoughts

and perspectives as well as their ideas given

their different backgrounds. We all have come

from different places, providing these young students with different

experiences will only benefit them.

I plan on inviting all of you into the classroom for a potluck event

where you are able to bring a dish that represents

your family and something that you enjoy.

If you have suggestions as to what to include

please feel free to contact me.

I am very fortunate to be able to work with your children for this next year.

Given that I will be working with them I believe

that this is a big responsibility and I will be open to communication.

If you need to contact me for any reason, my email is

biittigm397@strose.edu

I am at extension 123 through the ABC Elementary line as well

I hope to see you soon,

and I can't wait to begin working with your children

Sincerely, Miss Biittig
