over twenty five years and that's exactly why we are taking on this bus

to be smart about how where and when we put those hours to create a bus system

that is fast frequent and reliable for the largest number of riders here's what

we need to consider speed versus accessibility a faster trip to your

destination means fewer stops along the way probably speed I would definitely

choose speed getting to locations and having less stops fewer stops so buses

could go faster I know my monkey obesity is a serious problem in this country

accessibility because I don't want to walk a very far distance from my house

yeah some of the stops are unnecessary frequency versus coverage more buses

more often in one area means fewer buses less often in another area frequency

frequency frequent of course it's not fun having to wait 40 minutes for a bus

I don't think anybody wants to be waiting for a bus for a long period of

time especially at night coverage is so important that frequency can kind of

take a backseat no pun intended productivity versus equity more bus

service where there are more riders means less service where there are fewer

riders this is an economics question well a good business model would seem to

go where the demand is no it should be accessible everywhere it's people

everywhere rely on the buses why don't we take some of the buses in the areas

where nobody's riding them and bring them over to the areas where they're

overflown la is so big always changing always moving there's more people here

there are so many more places to go if you're not up with the times you're

being left high for all of the problems I think the future of the LA metro bus
