Waching daily Nov 2 2017

Hello my name is Nag Sinde and I'm a 19- year-old sophomore at the University of

Wisconsin-Madison. I'm currently pursuing a double major in Mathematics and

Computer Science. My passion for both of these subjects stem from a high interest

level and a strong aptitude in both areas. For example, when I was in high

school two of my friends and I collaborated to create an app called

Find The Mine using Python. Later, the summer before my sophomore year, we

created a shopping list app using Java. On campus, I'm involved in a computer

science organization called The Hub. We bring in individuals and companies from

the tech industry to give tech talks and get an opportunity to interact with them.

We also make resources available to other students to ensure that they learn

the required skills they need to build the things they desire. One of the

biggest opportunities that I am looking forward to is to intern at a local tech

startup. I also hope to get an IT related internship this summer to not only gain

more technical skills, but to be more prepared about my ultimate career

decision. As of now, I'm currently involved in software and web development,

which involves creating new software and websites using languages such as Java

and PHP. Aside from being a college student, I am also a passionate tutor.

Since last summer, I have been working with Varsity Tutors teaching students in

a variety of Mathematics and Computer Science courses, such as Java, Python

Statistics, and Calculus. With this job, I was able to prepare and implement an

appropriate curriculum for these students and I was also able to develop

communication skills with them by weekly consulting them to assess their academic

progress. I'm also involved in ISA on campus which stands for India Students

Association. We do many volunteer and cultural events. Currently, we are

preparing for India Night, which is a cultural event that showcases Indian

culture in different regions. I also love playing table tennis. I played on my high

school varsity team and continued the passion by playing recreationally on the

Table Tennis Club here at Madison. It is a great stress reliever and a great way

for me to stay in shape. I personally believe that it is important

to build yourself by not only gaining valuable educational experience, but by

also gaining valuable hands-on experience. I hope to use the skills that

I have learned through being in rec sports and organizations and hopefully

be able to apply them to my future internships and jobs.

Democrat Legislator Forced to Apologize After Video of Her Traffic Stop Goes Viral - Duration: 3:14.

The Democrat lawmaker from New York who made headlines this week after a video of her acting

like an unhinged lunatic during a traffic stop went viral has apologized for her bizarre

behavior.

"The video released earlier this week of my Town of Ulster traffic stop captured a

tough moment for me," Ulster County Legislator Jennifer Schwartz Berky said in a statement

to Kingston newspaper the Daily Freeman.

"Like so many working families, I too face tough times and stressful situations," the

statement continued.

"As a professional, a public servant and a mother, I know my interaction with Police

Officer Gary Short was unacceptable.

I want to apologize to Officer Short and thank him for his patience and professionalism with

me during a very difficult time.

"This has been a humbling experience for me.

I hope to use it to grow and learn how to better represent the diverse working families

who reside in the great the city of Kingston."

Just to clarify, the incident actually occurred May 24, and Berky likewise delivered her apology

Friday.

It wasn't until this week, however, that Short's dash-cam footage went viral, turning

Berky into an internet sensation, as well as the butt of many people's jokes.

The dash-cam footage specifically showed her throwing a hissy fit after Officer Short pulled

her over for driving 43 mph in a 30 mph zone.

While practically every driver has been pulled over for speeding at some point, that wasn't

the problem here.

The problem was more with Berky's attitude of entitlement, in that she appeared to believe

her position as local lawmaker entitled her to be let go without any stipulations, let

alone a simple traffic ticket.

"Yes, I will listen to you," she barked at the officer during one point in the video.

"And you're not going to let me go even though I'm a county legislator and I always

do everything right and I follow the law and I was at the same pace as every other car."

She also seemed to suffer from a lack of personal accountability.

When responsible adults screw-up, they fess up to it, apologize and accept the consequences.

Instead, Berky chose to try and weasel her way out of being cited.

Besides accusing Officer Short of singling her out, the Democrat lawmaker also threatened

to "call town of Ulster Supervisor James Quigley," according to NYup.com.

She even claimed "Ulster County Sheriff Paul VanBlarcum already had been contacted."

It's like a kid who gets in trouble at school telling his teacher, "I'm going to tell

my mom!"

Whoopdi doo, kid, because that doesn't take away from the fact you just screwed up.

In a similar vein, Berky's attempts to involve other people in her mistake did nothing to

erase her complicity in breaking the law, though it surely helped highlight her immaturity

to the entire world.

Whether or not her apology, which she released months after the incident actually occurred,

will help her restore her now-tarnished reputation remains to be seen.

Democrat lawmaker's apology.
