Hi, my name is Pritham Raja and I'm the founder of Threads of Freedom, we're a

nonprofit social enterprise that works with survivors of human trafficking and

domestic violence. We work on reintegrating these women after they've been rescued.

So our solution at Threads of Freedom is incredibly innovative - to give

you a comparison most NGOs who work in this space usually produce handicrafts and these

are usually made by maybe survivors themselves these are like trinkets or

candles or scarves. The challenge with this is that these women don't make a lot of

money and they don't have a steady job. So what we do is we partner with

established garment factories, these are factories that are Labor compliant and we get

them to provide jobs to our beneficiaries this means - stable jobs, better salaries

and transferrable skills. And we are able to do all this because of our unique process

then incentivizes these garment factories to work with us

So far I have set up Threads of

freedom in two cities in India in Mumbai and Bangalore and we work with both

domestic violence victims and survivors of human trafficking as well.

So to make all of this work in both these cities we work with state and central

governments, we work with local police, with some of India's largest garment

factories, with a bunch of nonprofits and fashion brands

across the world including largest one in India. In fact today in Bangalore we have

reintegrated every single survivor of trafficking there was and that was looking for a

job and we have the capacity to reintegrate many many more.

Now as an organization, we track our impact based on the number of women that go through our

program, that get jobs and that are eventually integrated

our aim is to reintegrate every single trafficking survivor and domestic violence survivor

there is in the cities that we work in.

My goal is to change the system - to create enough jobs so that any woman in

distress can find a job. So in fact we are currently working on a platform so that NGOs

from Accra to Zanzibar - all across the world can access our program and

implement this for their local communities

Hatched in August '17.

It's a young baby as you can see.

Very calm and docile species.

Curious as well ...

Woma pythons are really UNIQUE snake species

Notice the head, it's totally different than other pythons'

Head (amongs others) make them unique !

Very calm little baby ..
