(PBS Digital Studios Intro) Hey everybody.
It's time for another science challenge.
It's time to find out if it's a Telescope Video Game or something I made up.
Let's go!
Coma Niddy here and I'm here with a special guest.
This is Daniel.
Daniel tell everybody about yourself.
My name is Daniel.
I'm currently a space science educator at the Orgeon Museum of Science and Industry.
I'm also studying physics and one day I will be an Astrophysicist.
And also, Daniel's in the deleted scenes of my video "Look at My Dob"
Show the clip!
(Song) That's Daniel.
Space Science that's his job Look at those moves
Look at him DOB (Song Ends) Um I dunno how you didn't make the final cut.
But uh hey your hair is longer and your here now.
Alright the name of today's challenge is is it a Telescope, Videos Game, or Something
I made up.
So I'm going to read to you an item and you have to figure out which one of those things
it is.
Are you ready for the challenge?
I'm ready.
I am ready sir.
Alright!
The first item is the Astro Dazzle.
Is that a Video Game, Telescope, or Something I made up?
I believe I've heard that one before and I think it's actually a telescope.
Is that your final answer?
That is my final answer.
Alright Mr Space Science Educator Person you are correct.
Oh alright!
It's a great way to start the day.
(song) Look at those moves Look at him dob (song ends)
(Narrator) Astro Dazzle.
What a fun name for the Orion Fun Scope.
This telescope is compact, light weight, and beautifully decorated.
It's a great casual telescope for those who want to be dazzled by the night sky.
Gratuitous Space Battles Hmm I think it doesn't sound like a Telescope
that's for sure.
It would be an interesting telescope.
A very interesting telescope yea.
I'm going to guess that you made that one up too.
Alright and I'm sorry to inform you.
You are incorrect.
Gratuitous space battles is a video game.
And here's how it goes.
We don't blame Daniel for thinking Gratuitous Space Battles was made up.
That title sounds absurd!
But this video game released in 2009 ignore back story and cuts right to the LARGE SPACE
BATTLES!
Kerbal Space Program.
Telescope, video game, or something I made up?
Now this one, I am absolutely positive that you made it up.
Is that your final answer?
No it's definitely a game.
He's playing tricks on me.
Yea I'm playing tricks on you over here.
(song) Look at those moves Look at him dob (song ends)
If Daniel got this one wrong, he may have lost all credibility as a Space Science Educator
- JK!
Kerbal Space Program is a successful space flight simulation video game.
And its realistic physics engine has made the game popular with with the scientific
community.
Last item is AstroCan.
It is a telescope, video game, or something that I made up?
something that I made up Uh now this definitely something you made
up.
Is that your final answer?
Now I'm really thinking.
He's always really thinking when I ask the final answer
But that's a good thing.
No yea that is definitely my final answer.
Ok.
Incorrect!
Oh.
AstroCan is a Telescope!
There aren't many, or any, telescopes today with a bubbly personality quite like the AstroCan.
It was extremely durable, and portable with a design that was mostly unchanged for nearly
30 years.
It even won an Industrial Design Award back in 1976!
That was the telescope video game or something I made up challenge.
As you saw, Daniel, you pulled through.
And even though you got a few wrong, you practiced your ABCs.
Always be learning.
Ok.
Alright.
Trust me it makes sense.
It doesn't.
And as long as you are learning, you are winner in my book.
Therefore you earn a prize and it is literally a book!
Oh wow!
It is the Nature Guide to the Night Sky.
Wow.
It will come in handy for the planetarium.
Thank you man.
Your welcome!
I don't know if we're going to like Well you know trying to keep it professional.
Thanks for watching, liking, commenting, and subscribing.
I'll see you next time.
Look at my dob!
That was probably the worst I didn't see it so I don't know
