warrior here and I'm going to show you guys how to copy and paste your own

video on YouTube and so we're doing this on YouTube now if you remember yesterday

they took away the YouTube video editor however you can still copy and paste so

I'm going to show you guys how to do it so I'm gonna take and search for a video

so I want to search for my crochet puff stitch hat puff hat so so I'll see here

what comes up I'm gonna search there okay so I'm going to show you guys okay

let's see if I can find the one I'm looking okay this is the one I'm looking

for this one right here so I can click on edit right there

edit now I want to go to enhancements okay so I want to click on save as a new

video that's what I want to do I want to click on save as a new video and you see

that right there so it actually copied and then pasted

right over there so I need to put that in there copy and

paste so I'm adding the paste in there because it is a paste of my original

video and then I click on save just like that I want to put a space in there

though I'm going to put a space in there and save and so that's just how you do

it that's just how easy it is to copy and paste your own video if you want to

make a new video and you can do this as many times as you want to so if you

wanted to do another one I'll show you let me show you I'll do

the same one again puff stitch

to enhancements now if you want to save another copy of the same video if you

want to copy your own video again you can copy your video again here on

YouTube so you can save as a new video just like that and see it copies and

pastes again so now I have multiple copy and paste videos of my own videos do you

see that so I can copy and paste if I want to I can copy and paste the same

video every day so yeah I just wanted to share that with you guys so I want to

Topic Summaries on Lexis Advance® - Show Me How Video Series - Duration: 3:04.

This short video will introduce you to Topic Summaries on Lexis Advance.

There are several ways they may be accessed.

By typing 'topic summaries' into the search box, and then selecting Legal Topic Summaries'

next to the word, 'Sources' you are able to restrict the search to just the Legal Topic

Summaries source.

Another way to access all Topic Summaries is from the browse dropdown.

Select Sources, then type in Topic Summaries, select Legal Topic Summaries from the word

wheel and run the search.

Click on the down arrow button and select 'get documents.

This will bring up the complete list of topic Summaries available.

Topic Summaries may also be found when searching for a specific topic.

Begin under Browse and select Topics.

If you are interested in looking up information on the concept of 'defamation per se,'

begin by typing this in the search box.

Once you begin typing a word wheel will appear with possible selections.

Select defamation per se and search.

You are brought to a screen for your legal topic search Torts, since you are looking

for the tort of 'defamation per se'.

By clicking on the actions tab you are given 4 choices; get documents pertaining to this

topic, add the topic to your search, create an alert or view topic summary report.

Selecting the View Topic Summary Report will take you directly to the Topic Summary: Defamation

Per Se

You may also browse for the topic of interest.

Since you are looking for the tort of 'defamation per se' you can go scroll down to 'Torts'

and select it.

You can then select the arrows next to 'Intentional Torts,' to narrow to 'Defamation' and

then 'defamation per se' as a sub-section.

You will then be given a box with further options.

You can then get documents pertaining to this topic, add the topic to your search, create

an alert or view topic summary report.

You are now looking at the topic summary report for defamation per se.

Topic Summary Reports bring significant value to the researcher in that they provide the

legal definition as defined by the court, the seminal cases for that topic, the elements

to maintain the action, pertinent secondary sources, the burden of proof that must be

established for a conviction and the standard of review for an appeal.

The default jurisdiction is 'federal'; however, you can go to the right hand side

of the document to select a different jurisdiction.

Topic Summary Reports add significant value to your research experience by not only providing

you with elements and seminal cases of a given area of law but may be adjusted for a specific

jurisdiction.

Natural Language Searching on Lexis Advance® - Show Me How Video Series - Duration: 2:47.

This is a short video on Natural Language searching on Lexis Advance.

Natural Language searching provides you with the flexibility to enter key terms and have

the research system return results that contain high concentrations of those terms, documents

with the terms close together and documents that have a high probability of relevance.

When a Natural Language search is run, Lexis Advance analyzes the query by looking for

its match to the highest impact terms and phrases found within the specific content

type being searched. 

This flexibility encompasses using an implied 'or' between each search term and using

an implied 'and' between each search term when assembling the results set. 

Once assembled, Lexis Advance then applies a further blend of ranking variables to place

the most relevant documents at the top of the result list .  

Using a concrete example, it will be easy to see how this works.

This search generates well over 3,000 cases prior to any filtering.

This represents an abridged list of cases that would contain a heavy concentration of

the all search terms.

If you wish to see all potentially relevant results, you may expand your search by going

to the top of the screen and clicking on "Actions" and then selecting 'Expanded results'

which will apply an 'or' to all of the terms in the query.

Essentially, any document that has any of the terms in the original search will be surfaced.

Using the search from the previous example, the system will bring back results that have

"cigarette" OR "tax" The system will drive the more relevant results to the top

of the list. 

Results that contain more than one of your terms will be closer to the top of your list

than results that contain only one of your terms.

It's important to note that both search methods will produce relevant results, with

the most relevant results at the top of the results list.

When you use Expanded Results searching you will get a larger result list, but this will

give you a more comprehensive view of all the results related to your terms, whereas

'Fewer Results' presents a tighter result set. 

"Fewer Results" and "Expanded Results" functionality is only available for Natural Language searching,

and does not vary by content type; it works the same across all content included in your

search.

This unique feature ensures that you have control over the type of result list you receive.
