Facebook Cover Video - Easy Way To Make in 16x9 Landscape - Desktop and Mobile - Duration: 5:02.
Hello Everyone, it's Sue Ferreira here from
Wisdom To Wealth Mastery and also from
my Facebook group, Visible On Video, where
I show you how to take your message, your
wisdom, your knowledge, to the world using
video. I've got a tip here about
making a video for your Facebook cover.
You know, a couple of months ago, Facebook
introduced a new feature, whereby you
could replace your photo that you have
on the banner on the top of your Facebook
Page and this applies at the moment to
pages only. You can replace it with a
video. Not everybody has this feature, but
by now, most of you should have this
feature. If you go into your Facebook
Page and you look at the top left hand
corner, there'll be a little camera and
if you click the camera and it
changes to a Video, then you have the
option to replace your photo, with a
video. There has been a slew of
videos on YouTube and a whole ton of
articles about the dimensions of the
video, that you need to create to replace
your photo, with a video on your Facebook
page. This has caused, I mean
seriously , 29 00:01:12,030 --> 00:01:16,530 a load of nicker-twisting about this
size. Facebook originally came out
and said that the dimensions should be -
and I have to look because I never
remember them - 820 by 312, in other words
820 long and 312 in proportion. A lot
of people had challenges with this - "how
how do i change everything and make
a dimension that is not the standard
dimension? One that is much longer and
thinner than the standard dimensions of
sixteen by nine. Then later on,
Facebook came out with a new dimension
which is 820 by 462, so now it's the same
width but it's a little deeper. This
still was causing consternation for
folks, because it was still a
challenge to change the size to fit this
unusual dimension. Well, let me tell you -
don't worry anymore! All you need to do
is make a regular sixteen by nine
landscape video!
Forget about these dimensions 820x462.
Here's a little secret if you take 820
and you divide it by 462, you get the
proportion - you know the width to depth -
proportion of 1.77.
if you take 16 by 9 and you divide 16 by
9, you get 1.77. 820 by 462 is
the same as 16 by 9, the regular
landscape ratio, so make your video in a
regular 16 by 9 landscape proportion.
If you use an iPhone and you use the
native app on the iPhone for creating a
video, that record in 16 by 9, at least I
don't think so. It might on the
new iPhones coming out, but it doesn't do
16 by 9, it records in 4 by 3. If you do 4 by 3
you're going to end up with a video, that
has black bars at the ends. There are
plenty of other apps that do 16:9.
I use Filmic Pro, where you can
create a video on your iPhone of 16
by 9.
I think Androids already do it as does just
about any other way you have a recording
video. The classic 16 by 9
landscape view is what you see on
all the videos in YouTube and
everywhere else, so you don't have to
think about all these funny dimensions!
Just make your video in 16 by 9. There's
one other hint I'm going to give you
about making your video in 16 by 9. When
you upload it into your Facebook Cover,
it will show that proportion
of 820 by 312, which is 2/3 of
the dimension of a 16 by 9. When
you're making the video, in your brain
think about how only two thirds of
the video, instead of the whole width is
going to be shown. The easiest way to
deal with this is make the video a
little bit further away, so you're a
little bit smaller or whoever you
have in your videos, a little bit smaller.
As you're making the video in your
brain think, "Yes, only 2/3 of this is
going to show, so I might need a little bit
more sky above and a little bit more
earth or whatever below. The
video bit that I want to see, will
remain in the middle and will look right,
when it's loaded uploaded to a Facebook
Page. The other advantage of doing 16 by
9 instead of
820 by
312 is it will look right on mobile, as
well.
if you upload the 820 by 312, the
original dimensions of Facebook gave you,
it won't look right on mobile. Forget
all this - record a regular sixteen
by nine video. Think about the fact that
you're going to maybe top take out the
top 1/6th and bottom 1/6th. Upload it to
Facebook and all will be well. If you

MSNBC interrupts interview with Hillary Clinton to watch panda video - Duration: 1:43.
>>> Welcome back.
My interview with secretary
Hillary Clinton is subject to a
interruption because of
this video.
Sneezing panda.
Mom and baby chilling and then
and then baby has to sneeze.
[ Laughter ]
>> Mom -- and mop reacts.
Here is a little loop of the mom
reacting to the sneeze.
You have seen this before.
I know.
I know you've seen this before
because statistically speaking
we all have.
It been viewed over 200 million
times.
Secretary, people are on seed
with your humaature,
everything from the deep thing
you point out, people need to be
told again and again, why, why
truly do you want to be
president when nobody ever asked
marcoio or Ted Cruz that
question.
Also, the really human stuff in
the book you called it the panda
principle, which is why we were
visited by the sneezing panda.
This is what you write in
chapter five.
What I ate, who did my hair and
makeup.
What my mornings were like.
I get asked about these
constantly.
The panda principle.
Pandas just live their lives.
