hey guys welcome to Tech Best these are
the meizu EP 51's which I think are
some of the best value bluetooth earbuds
you can get now good ear buds can get
expensive and cheap ones often sound
horrible or are poorly made but these
ones are well made they sound good and
you can buy them for around thirty
dollars u.s. you can get them in two
color schemes we have the black red and
silver you can also get them in white
and silver there will be links in the
description below if you want to check
them out now although they are called
wireless they still have a wire
connecting the earbuds to each other if
you want truly wireless earbuds then
check out my review on these these are
the syllable d900 mini and they also
cost about thirty dollars u.s. i'll link
these in the description as well and
while these are pretty good for the
money i personally prefer the EP51's
because the battery life and more
importantly the sound quality is better
now these plantronics (Backbeat) bluetooth earbuds
have a similar corded designed to the EP
51's but they cost more so you'd
expect them to be better but actually
they are not spending more money doesn't
always get you better quality these
little beauties have a softer insert
so they are more comfortable they also
didn't fall out even when exercising
whereas these ones would fall out of my
ears all the time the EP 50 ones came
with more replacement ear tips and the
noise isolation is also better in fact
it was surprisingly good the battery
lasts longer we get about six hours on a
single charge versus about four and a
half hours and on top of all of that the
EP 51 to deliver better sound bass is
deeper now they aren't based heavy
earbuds but they are better than the
backbeats and overall the sound quality
is well rounded the one advantage i will
say that the backbeats have is
instead of notification beeps they
actually had a spoken voice that tells
you information like battery level and
connection status
moving on to the packaging and by the
way these would make a great low-cost
gift when you unbox these it really does
feel like a high quality product and you
wouldn't think it costs just thirty
dollars inside is a bunch of different
sized ear tips a protective pouch and a
charging cable unboxing the backbeats
on the other hand doesn't give the same
high quality feeling on the earphones
you get an inline remote with volume and
the play/pause button on the side is a
micro USB port for charging I found that
one and a half hours of charging would
get me just over the rated six hours
of battery life there's also a built-in
mic for voice calls and it worked well
it uses Bluetooth 4.0 syncing was a
breeze and the connection was stable
with minimal drop outs now the buds are
also magnetized so you can clip them to
each other or attach them to metal objects
for storage perhaps the construction is
well made mostly plastic and rubber with
the circular bit here being metal they
are also water and sweat resistant and
with their secure fit it makes them ideal
for workouts and running now I've been
using this pair for about six months I
use them almost daily even though I have
some high quality wireless headphones
I use these more often simply because of
their convenience being compact and easy
to carry and because of the low cost
it's not a big concern if they get
damaged or lost and that is a big
advantage with wireless earbuds like
these which tend to get treated roughly
I throw these in my pocket and my bag I
used them when exercising and after six
months of use they still look pretty
good there are a few scratch marks and
the rubber flap is starting to get a
bit worn as you can see it doesn't fit
flush anymore but for six months of
heavy use I think they have survived
remarkably well I'm also less likely to
lose these compared with truly wireless
buds anyway if you need a good quality
affordable Bluetooth solution then you
should definitely check these out so
