Best Video Editing Apps for iPhone & Android - Duration: 7:21.

Here's a rundown of the best video editing apps for iPhone and Android. I'm

Ben Simon for Media Brighton TV, stay tuned...

if you're not making videos using your phone, you are missing a big fat whopping trick. Using the apps in this

rundown, you'll be able to knock out some great content super quick.

So, first up, are the multi-channel video editing apps. At number one is iMovie on iOS, which is

£3.99, or free on a new iPhone.

This app is amazing, it's super simple to use, and really powerful at the same time.

You can choose to make a movie or a trailer, the trailer feature allows you

to make hollywood-style trailers, by replacing clips in a storyboard style

interface. The movie feature allows you to choose from a bunch of themes, you

have full control over editing your clips, adding slow-motion, color grading

and titles. The best features are the ability to add a second layer of video,

so you can add your b-roll clips over an interview, or picture-in-picture. You can

add multi layers of audio, and you can dettach the audio from any video clip,

helping you do more complex editing, if you need to. You can export in a number

of resolutions up to 4k, on the newer phones, and you can share to a number of

social media sites, from the app. But, seriously, this app is a must for any

iphone videographers, and it's my go-to app for making videos on the go.

If iMovie doesn't float your boat, then you may want to look at Pinnacle Studio Pro,

which is another iOS video editing app, capable of professional results. It's quite

pricey, coming in at a whopping £9.99, but for that, you do

get a pro-level, multi-channel, video and audio editing app, on your iPhone or iPad.

Pinnacle is a bit harder to get to grips with than iMovie though...

Next up, is Kinemaster, which is another feature packed video editing app but,

this time, on Android, offering multi-channel editing.

It's free to download, but costs around $40 a year subscription to use

without that annoying watermark, which is a bit of a stinger, which I

must admit. If you can stump up that kind of cash, you do get some nice

features, like split-screen, picture-in-picture, and so on, and the

layout is clear, and easy to use.

I don't like it anywhere near as much as I like iMovie though, the graphics and

themes are really cheesy and unusable, in my opinion, but it's the best option at

the moment for multi-channel editing on Android. Ok, so there is a free option for

multi-channel editing on Android; NCH's Videopad video editor, but the drawback is

it's very clunky looking, with an old-school interface, I found it to be

glitchy as well, if you're an Android user on a budget, and you have time

to sit down and figure it out, then this could be what you're looking for.

So, Cutecut, is another iOS editor offering multi-layers of video editing.

It's free to download, but costs £4.49 to get rid of that annoying

watermark. So, it's pretty easy to use, to get to grips with, you can add videos

over other videos, resize, and rotate to get some nice overlay effects, which is

pretty unique. A really cool feature that trumps iMovie even, is the ability to

control saturation, brightness, contrast, exposure, and color temperature, nice

touch!

I've also read reviews that this can be quite glitchy on exporting, so be warned.

There are a plethora of effects and transitions to play around with too, and

you can share your creations with the world, from the app with a few clicks.

So, first up, for the single-layer video editors, is Filmoreago, which is a free

app for iOS, you choose your clips and they are added to your video. You can

trim each clip and a number of effects and tweaks, including filters, overlays

animated elements, titles, speed effects and so on. If you want to get creative

then check out this app; some of the text animations are very cheesy, but there are

some nice ones too.

I found them all to have a certain style, so, it's going to be a bit like marmite,

you're either gonna love it, or you're gonna hate it.

Ok, so moving on, next up, is Powerdirector on Android. It's a free app, but you have

to pay £3.94, which is a bit of a strange number,

to get rid of the watermark. It has a nice look to the interface, and it's very

similar-looking to iMovie, the big difference is that you can't add that

great second level of video, making it more of a hobby use, than a serious editor,

my opinion. You can trim your clips, add filters, titles, slow motion effects, and

music. You can share your videos with Facebook from the app.

Next, we have Movie Edit Touch, on Android and Windows Phone. Does anyone actually have a Windows

phone? Oh yeah, my mother-in-law does. It's another free app, capable of nice results.

It's got a nice, clean interface, it's simple and easy-to-use, if you just want

to rearrange your clips, trim them, add filters and effects, then check this one

out. The next best video editing app for iPhone and Android is 'Quik' by GoPro.

This cool little app takes the heavy lifting out of editing by doing most of

the hard work itself. You can choose video clips and photos to import and

then a theme, which dictates how the video is cut together, the filters, the

effects, music, and sometimes overlay graphics. The app edits your clip into a

video automatically, like magic.

You have control over each clip in the sequence, where you can trim, add text

decide whether the clips play without edits, and so on.

This is really nice app for creating simple video montages with some

stylish-looking effects and transitions. I would use this to make little creative

sections for a bigger video, and import the resulting clip into iMovie. You

can share your video with all the usual social media platforms once you're done

editing it too. Last, but no means least, is Adobe Premiere clip, available free on

iOS and Android. With Clip, you can opt for automatic editing or manual. In the

auto section, you choose your clips and the app ranges them, and cuts them

together with music.

You don't get to choose from a bunch of themes, like the GoPro app though. You can

control the pace of the Edit, reorder the clips, and change the music. If you want

more control, you can convert the sequence to the manual timeline, where

you get to trim the clip, add exposure, highlights and shadows, control audio

levels on each clip, you can save to the camera roll,

and share to the usual places from the app.

So, there's my take on the best video editing apps for iPhone and Android. If you want to know more about marketing

your business with iphone video, I have a free course available, just click here on

the screen or click the link in the description. If you have any questions,

leave me a comment below, please give me a like, share the video, and of course

subscribe to my channel for more useful videos. So, for now, this is Ben Simon signing off

for Media Brighton TV. Thanks for watching!

Q&A # 2 - Duration: 11:14.

hi! happy new year! and I'm starting the

year with this Q&A video as I promised

so let's begin with your questions and

the first question is - If you have already

good level (upper intermediate) how to improve

farther

well i would say at this stage when you

have an upper intermediate level I think

the most important thing here is to

change your mindset from being a learner

to being an active user of language

articulate speaker of language because you

have enough knowledge and skill to

survive in any english-speaking country

or even in any other country - let go of

this mindset of being learner. now it's

it's what you do you speak English and

what do people do with their native

language? they use it in every way

so you need to start reading if you're

not reading and not just reading ,like

books that you like and books that you

have read in your native language but

reading ...which is really a cliché

advice but newspapers articles

everything that you would look into

in your language you need to do in english

and with reading you need to continue

working on your vocabuary so write it down

and use it as much as you can. create

ridiculous sentences put them in weird

places that are not normal and sound

ridiculous but it's fine you will

remember that way .of course the most useful

thing would be to find a person to talk

to and there are tons of services where

you can get the get in touch with a

native speaker and, yeah that's cool because

you will get Conversation

you know, once in awhile and it will

trigger your desire to continue learning

if you're having a lack of motivation so

again immersion, immersion is always an

answer. read write watch. wright your google

requests in English and just, I don't

know, use it, just start actively using it

and well while we're on this topic if you

are learning English no matter what

level you're at - give

language context. it's not an accident

that when you go to courses and have a

tutor or whatever you're constantly

asked to answer questions about your

life and telling stories about you. that

are relevant to you because you need to

put together this language and your

reality

otherwise you will not use it because it

is not connected it to you so connect

English to your life and to your

thoughts. so yeah that'sb my answer .the

next question is why do English speakers

mostly ignor past perfect future perfect

and future perfect continuous .well they

don't. it's just contractions and

reduction because when you watch a movie

you see that in subtitles but in real

life you don't have subtitles and people

have this , they contract everything to

speak easily and that's why you hear not

i have seen this movie before you were

even born. you see I've seen da movie before you were born

like really? with past perfect it happens

all the time they just contract had and

you lose it. you don't hear but it's

there! and about future perfect future

perfect continuous is just the situation

where you would use it is quite rare and

I don't think in regular conversations

people often get to that point where you

need to use this kind of construction

there is always the time and place for

every tense in English language.it's there

for a reason and you just don't get to

that point of conversation where you

hear that and sometimes it's easier to

break the phrase into two easier phrases

than to say long and complicated one but

it doesn't mean that they don't use it

they do use it! like a kind of created

couple of examples. i will not work on

january Seventeen's because i will have

been traveling for a week by than and i

will be very tired in or my friend is

coming to town in like a couple days in

a week and she wanted to go to the

cinema with me and i said that i will

have seen this movie by the time you're

here because I really want to watch it

it's not super simple and regular thing

to say but i would say it . don't

underestimate all those tenses you need

them and present or past perfect they

are there. they're just contracted and

when you speak quickly they just kind of

blend together and you don't hear

them but they're there and to understand

people better and and to tell your ideas

and tell what you want to tell you need to

know them and you need to use them

next question is 5 typical mistakes in

learning English. well I should really

think about it and make a separate video

for that because it's not a simple and

quick topic . if I had to pick one I would

say as i said before separating english

from your life and that

making personal. yeah this is a mistake

don't do that. would you like to move

somewhere abroad ? and i'm not sure about

moving because i'm at this point in my

life where I really wanna just move

around and I don't want to settle and

that's why I'm not sure I want to move

somewhere i do want to go places but

moving is kind of not on my list anytime

soon so yeah but yeah i'm going to

travel the whole lot this year! in your

opinion how should we read classic

literary works or what attitude should

we adopt if you want to fully appreciate

their value. i have two opinions on this

thing because as an English literature

teacher I think it's better to just read

the text and ignore all the opinions and

interpretations about it and just get

your own idea and understanding. but as

an english language teacher it's the

opposite

you better research it really well

understand what is going to be about

what are the main topics maybe

understand the characters more and then

as you start reading it just, you know

work on your vocabulary and maybe after

reading a small piece and getting and

working on the vocabulary you just reread

it again and see if you understand

the estatic point of that i would say but

generally just try to start with small

pieces i mean like stories and poetry

maybe. yeah , don't get discouraged because

it is complicated and not all native

speakers easily understand and can enjoy

classic literary works but it's a

good idea read it's better to read then

not to and it's

better to try and fail and try again then

never really get to reading a real thing

the attitude i think here should be just

try your best and again think as a

native speaker , think as a person who

owns the language, language of skill so

use your skill exercise it, ok, does it

really matter to use perfect grammar in

communication with native speakers on

daily basis out of specific areas such

as universities or job interviews

it really depends on your goal if you're

trying to make an impression at a job

interview of course you need perfect

grammar but if the person that is

interviewing you sees that you are very

fluent speaker and you a you know you

can use the language to explain yourself

and to convey your thoughts they will

not pay attention to small details as

some kind of mistake and grammar

yeah focusing on the perfect grammar is

a bad idea

you need to focus on the function of

grammar in your learning you need to

focus on where would I use it ? how would

I use it ? and why would I use it? like in

previous questions about past perfect

future perfect just learn situations

where you will need it and try to, you

know, put yourself in this situation

where you would have to explain

something using those tenses. even if

you are a beginner, native speaker will

understand what you're trying to say if

you want to be productive in your

language and use it to the full

potential of course you you need the

grammar and yeah, but don't stress out

about it it's fine, it's fine

are you an angel?

are you afraid of the dentist? i used to

be but then I met the love of my life in

the area of

dentists and now I'm ready to go there

every day because it's fine and I get a

weird satisfaction after going to the

dentist like I accomplished something

I'm an adult and I take care of my body

yeah so kinda, no I'm not afraid. it's

disgusting but I'm mot afraid so yeah

that's it for today if you have more

questions you can leave them in the

comments section and i will answer them

in my next Q&A video! i really hope you

had a good holiday whatever holiday you

celebrate in this time of year and I hope you

spent it with your family and around your loved

ones i wish you tons of success and good

things in this new year and i hope i

will see you soon

yeah have a great day! bye!

and about traveling that's true i'm

gonna travel this month yay! finally

vaccataion

yeah i'm so tired last year was

exhausting but good exhausting

no wasn't good was a terrible year what
