Does the room spin when you roll over or get out of bed?
Or maybe when you tilt your head or look up or down?
This is likely caused by a specific type of vertigo call BPPV which accounts of about 80% of all vertigo cases.
BPPV can cause lots of problems: Dizziness, nausea, vomiting, injuries from falls.
Fortunately there is a quick and easy way to fix your vertigo!
And the best part is that you can do it yourself!
Now, keep in mind this only works for one specific type of vertigo, BPPV.
Which is caused by free floating particles inside the inner ear which create a sensation of spinning when they move
If your symptoms are different than the ones I have described
or the spinning lasts longer than 1 or 2 minutes
you probably have a different type of vertigo
Start in a kneeling position
tip your head straight up and look at the ceiling
hold this position for a few seconds
You'll probably start to feel some spinning and that's OK
Then put your head completely upside down tucking your chin in a little.
Your head shouldn't be completely vertical. It should be tucked under slightly towards your knees
In this position turn your head toward your right elbow to treat the right side
or the left elbow to treat the L side
You're going to feel some spinning if you're treating the correct side.
Wait for the spinning to stop or at least a count of 30 seconds
Then quickly raise your head to be level with your back keeping your head in the turned position
Hold this position until the spinning stops
Now quickly return to the upright kneeling position keeping your head turned and hold for 30 seconds
Sometimes once is enough to completely cure your vertigo symptoms
For some people it will take several times performing the maneuver to get the desired outcome
If you still have symptoms wait for about 15 minutes for the inner ear to settle down
and repeat the process.
