Finding Your Voice - Resonation vs Yelling - Duration: 5:28.

hey everyone I'm Jason Catron and this

is your free vocal tip today we're

going to talk about uncovering your

voice like what does this voice mean how

do i find it and how we look at two

simple things maybe not so simple but

two aspects of that resonation vs

yelling now a lot of people when you hear them

singing you're just like oh my gosh this

guy's just yelling I wish you'd stop it

i wish you'd stop yelling right maybe you

hear yelling in the background cleverly

planned of course but the point is this

our bodies your body my body is what

made to resonate how do we know that

because i'm sitting here making sounds

happen right now I don't have like a

microphone hooked up to my voice box and

it's projecting out these little

speakers on the side of my ear, no from

head-to-toe your body and my body is

made to resonate so much so that because

of that understanding of how sound waves

work and resonation within an object we

now have pianos we have trumpets we have

guitars

why does the body of the guitar exist to

resonate the strings are the cords if

this were a real piano you would see the

shell of the piano why is it designed

like it is to resonate and be one of the

most beautiful instruments on planet

earth the strings produce the sounds

right

the keys cause the sounds to happen

again the body resonates the tones your

body resonates tones your vocal cords

produce the sounds the sound waves begin

to resonate and when you hear us talk

about all these aspects head voice chest

voice pharyngeal voice nasal tones

light-heady hooty tones those are all

different aspects of resonating tonality

out of your body but the concept that

I'm trying to drive home here today is

that from head to toe again your body

resonates here's what i see so often

people come in for lessons we try to

resonate right here we hold it tightly

we may even like try to pull it back in

time

off a little bit right what do I mean

what if I go ah

I'm kind of pulling back you can hear that right

or what if I go (mum sounds) I'm

swallowing it right not releasing it so

I want you to think of this your body

the tones that it's producing is to

emote emit express release all of those

tones to the environment around you now

we can either do that through a small

passageway we can consider that we're

standing on top of the biggest mountain

looking into the biggest valleys and

we're letting the tone out alright so we

want to resonate those tones instead of

yelling them what is yelling (mum sounds)

ma-ma-ma-ma-ma that's yelling right what

his resonation is as simple as this

(hoo sounds)

predominately in my head voice how do i

take that here (mum sounds) since how like I'm

looking out on the vast expanse (mum sounds)

(mum sounds) I'm not trying to control holdback

resist restrict any of that its release

its resonance understanding that from

head-to-toe every bit of me as a part of

that I'm not trying to get through this

narrow passage (mum sounds) no (mum sounds) is

why we have you do all these crazy

little things like think that you're

coming down on top of a note put the

note down in the ground don't think way

up high

lean forward lean into the tone express

your tones release your tones all these

words come into play because they sink

into your mind and you gradually begin

to think differently you begin to try

differently instead of the same old

habits coming into play and just yelling

maybe popping that larynx pushing

up getting loud with resonance hey yeah

that's very different than (yelling)

the difference you can feel it you can begin

to understand it and sense it when you

watch me do it

I want you to experiment with this I

want you to play with it and I want you

to think about the difference in being

resonant and yelling resonation is your

friend

yelling is your enemy sometimes we yell

but I want you to go with resonance

right

remembering all the time that your body

exists to release the tone and the more

you can trust the more you can release

the more you can let go the more you're

going to find this vocal freedom that

you and I are all on the path and

journey for the rest of our lives

working to master

Go "Remote First" | ROV Hull Inspection - Duration: 1:11.

New vessels is arriving into port bring

many economic benefits.

However from the

surface it's impossible to know what

could be hiding below the waterline

Invasive species, drugs, or contraband can

be hidden or inadvertently attached to

a ship entering your Harbor.

Deep Trekker underwater drones or ROVs are being used

by port authorities around the world to

spot-check key areas of vessels where

invasive species or contraband may be

easily hidden.

Areas such as the bulbous bow, rudders or thruster openings are

easily accessible to a Deep Trekker ROV

and can be quickly check by one operator

while recording images for future documentation.

Deploying a Deep Trekker underwater

drone won't create undue delay for a

vessel entering port. The entire system

can be deployed within 30 seconds; with a

handheld controller and 270 degree

rotating camera

any port authority has the ability to

ensure incoming vessels safely transit

through their harbor.

Baby Boomer Dating Tips!!! Writing Great Online Dating Profiles For Women!!! - Duration: 6:50.

Are you having trouble writing your

online dating profile? Tune in today for

some great tips on presenting an

engaging you!

Welcome back to 2nd Act TV. We're continuing our conversation with

Sandy Weiner, Sandy welcome back ! Thanks!

In our first two segments

we've covered you know how to choose the

right site and lots of great information

on pictures. Next is what do we put out

there about ourselves? What do we write? I

know there's a big issue with just being

honest and sincere. Yeah, so first of all

don't lie. I know a lot of people lie

about their age. And so there's the

jury's out on this one. I don't advocate

for lying about anything!

Some people do it for search purposes

and so if you do that then be honest in

your profile and say, you know, my, you

know, maybe my biological age of my

physical age or not the same, you know

and so I you know I'm four years younger

or older, whatever it is. The other

thing is you don't want to list a whole

bunch of adjectives. And this is one of

the biggest problems. So I'm attractive,

I'm young, I'm this, I'm young at heart, I

love you know walks on the beach, love

you know the little black dress and the

pair of jeans just as

comfortable, like everybody says the same

freaking thing and there are cliches.

They don't tell anything, even saying I'm

creative?

I don't know what that means to you

because I don't know you. So if you're

going to take the five adjectives that

describe you write them down and then

tell a little story about each one. So

like a one-line story.

How are you creative? So I love

painting furniture in a whimsical, in

whimsical patterns because I'm

very playful, you know something like that.

Now you're describing how you're creative.

And another way I'm creative is I like

to bake crazy cakes for people's

birthdays. So now you're showing not only

do you like to bake but also you like to

give people something, you like to

celebrate people. So you use the word

"because" you know the word

because will tell people about your

values, about your heart. The

reason why you do something is really

important. So two people can like to

travel but one likes to travel off the

beaten path and go crazy

no plans. Another one is regimented and

will only go on, you know, organized tours

and you know stuff like that, or

five-star hotels and other one will

rough it would go camping.

It tells a lot about who you are. Keep it

positive. Keep it, keep a little mystery

because you want somebody to ask

questions. A little provocative, a

little flirty, and then leave a call to

action at the end. You know, if this

resonates for you I'd love to hear from

you, and can't wait to hear your voice.

So that's the essay, and and besides the

essay there are other things to fill out.

So answer as many questions as you can.

OK Cupid has like hundreds and

hundreds of questions, the more you

answer the better you're gonna match

with somebody. Also geographically

open up your preferences as much as you

can wherever you can. Know your

must-haves, know what you absolutely will

not compromise on, do not ever compromise

on those things, but everything else

should be flexible. You know, and I see

people just narrowing down their

opportunities because they're so

inflexible about the wrong things. So, so

geography. Height, you know

please don't just look for six foot tall

men, I mean this is this is one of the

biggest disservices we can do to men is to

look for one type, because there are a

lot of men who are you know

five-foot-six who are amazing men and

when you're in bed and you're horizontal

it doesn't matter how tall you are.

That's that's very true, exactly,

one of the things that I know in terms

of again writing that I just thought about

when you were talking that could turn

me off is if there were lots of spelling

errors or grammatical errors.

Yeah check your spelling, yup. So I that

was like no, you either are not paying

attention this doesn't mean anything to

you, or you really

you know, you're not somebody I want

to meet. I mean I value, you know, for

me personally I value education. Right so

I will say it just you know that there

are people who have learning issues, who

are really really smart and can't write.

And you gotta, you gotta cut some slack

to men, men have to cut slack to

women, I mean we tend to write each other

off very very quickly. So if you did get

in touch with a man and found that he is

illiterate, then you write him off, but

I have seen many many bright people who

just can't spell. I agree with you, that's

why, I guess my point was don't

let that throw you out to somebody

like me who does pay attention when it,

when it necessarily doesn't have to!

Yeah. It's an easy fix, I thought.

Yeah be careful,

I mean on your end, be careful for sure. I

mean I go over whatever I write a

hundred times, you know, it's just every

word matters. So you want you want to be

memorable and you want to be fun, you

want to bring out the good stuff you

know. As a woman your warmth is going to

matter to a man, not your list or resume

of all your achievements.

I mean he may be impressed but it's not

going to make compile in love with you.

We have to stop doing that that's

actually one of the hardest things for

women at this age is to stop talking

about all the things we've accomplished,

because we're pretty amazing, you know we

are you know kick-ass amazing women,

right! Gosh darn it, and they're going to know it!

But a man is going to fall in love with your heart,

he's going to fall in love with you

because you provide a safe space for him

to open up to reveal his emotions

because he can't do that with men.

That's great advice. Sandy and that brings

actually to our next segment, for which I

want to hold you over one more time and

talk about how to write, how to

communicate once, you know, you're out

there, you start to communicate and what

to do, you know, how to make that

effective. So let's close this segment

out. Thank you again, we will link to your

information and we'll see you on the next episode of 2nd Act TV.

Thanks so much for watching. Right here's another

video I think you might enjoy!

And while you're at, it please subscribe

Thanks, see you next time!
