hey guys how you doing? Marlon King
here and in this week's video I'm going
to be showing you how to put video
inside of a logo. This is a pretty cool
effect to do and it can be used in quite
a lot of situations. So let's jump
straight in and show you how to do it. So
I've created a sequence here, I've got a
couple of video clips and my logo ready
so first off I'm going to drag the logo
in on the sequence and I've put that on to
video layer two. Now this is a white
logo with a transparent background it's
a PNG file. So how are we going to be
working this, is the white is going to be
turning transparent and in order to make
sure that the rest of the screen stays
black we're going to need to put a black
layer in there so we can either use
black video or black color matte. You can
put that underneath
I think the logos a little bit small at
the moment I'm just going to increase
the size of that. Okay so we're done here
now I'm going to create a second
sequence
and we're going to pick the video clip
we want so let's drag that on select a
part of the video you like this is a
clip from when I was out in Hong Kong.
Then we can drag the sequence with
the logo over the top and from there we
select the logo sequence, go over to the
editing tab and under "opacity" -> "blend mode" we're
going to select "multiply" and we can see
the video has now started to show
through the logo which is pretty cool
and that's that. as simple as that guys!
Now you could if you wanted to get fancy
and show two video clips if you wanted
to make it a little bit more interesting
and the way you can do that, is by, we
select the first clip, under
opacity, select the pen tool and we can
create a section here. Let's say only
shows the first few characters
now we can drag our second video
clip in. Doesn't matter about audio
actually on this tutorial. From here what we
can do is we select that second layer
and do the exact same thing. So under
editing tab we're going to create a mask and
there we have it. Now we can see a
both video showing. Obviously it will be
best if you tinker around and pick the
best part of the video clip that you
like you can also zoom in and position
the videos as necessary to make them
look their best. Here for example, I
could be zooming in or could even zoom
out to get more of that in shot and this
one here, if I want the boat to show
better. I could zoom in if you move it
along a little bit, and that's starting
to look good.
Right guys well I hope you found that
helpful, that's how to put video inside
of a logo in premiere pro and to use more than
one video clip to keep it interesting. You
could even go as far as put in one video
per letter or shape depending on how many letters / shapes
you've got and how long you have timewise to keep
on video editing. Right guys I hope you
found this video helpful if you did
please give it a thumbs up and consider
subscribing for future videos and
tutorials. If you have any questions
please come and find me, on Twitter is
probably the best place. Other than
that guys, I will catch you very soon,
probably next week. Catch you later. Peace.

Video Testimonials – Green Group Studio - Duration: 0:53.
So video testimonials are a way of you...
...providing testimonials of your customers,
but in a more authentic way.
When you read a testimonial on a website,
you might say, "Hmmm... Is that a real testimonial?"
And when you actually have the customer there,
talking to the camera, it feels more valid.
It feels more genuine, and you can actually understand,
"Okay, well, how did these people really like the services? What are they gonna say?"
It's not gonna feel so canned,
it's gonna be more natural, and...
...it's going to really connect with customers.
People say, "Wow! Well, look at that.
They have a few people that...
...really, truly enjoyed working with them,
and are saying that they would recommend them...
...and work with them again."

What is the Video Production Process – Green Group Studio - Duration: 3:21.
So, a lot of people ask about...
...the production process and what happens.
How do you get a video?
How do you go from A to B?
Well, it starts off with a pre-production meeting with...
...in this case, our executive producer Frank Fradella.
And we sit down in a room where we discuss...
...what's the purpose of the video?
Is it to educate?
Is it to entertain?
Perhaps both?
And how do we want to reach out and connect with your prospective customers?
So, we'll sit down in a room where we can have a teleconference...
...and kind of discuss your project needs,
your project budget, your timeline...
what resources will be needed, talent, voiceover,
actors' backgrounds...
...different lighting aspects, time of day, indoor/outdoor shots.
A lot of these things will come up in our pre-production meeting.
Once we have everything nailed down...
...we usually then go to designing some sort of a script.
What's the voiceover going to be?
What's the layout going to be?
And in a lot of cases,
we can put that into a full-fledged storyboard...
so that we can see the different scenes and cuts...
and plan different things...
...the intros, the outros, things of that nature.
When we're ready for production,
we'll have a scheduled shoot date where we'll...
...meet you onsite and Frank will record your video.
We would then wrap for the day...
and we would have the footage...
...take it back to the studio and make the edits.
Really on the editing room floor,
that's where a lot of the work happens.
A lot of the cuts are taken out because, you'd be surprised...
there's lots of different takes that you'll do,
maybe different angles, things like that...
that Frank will piece together along with our team...
...and determine, how is it going to go?
What's the ordering going to be?
What should be cut out?
When should you actually have somebody just talking?
And then have that be the voiceover...
where you're cutting to a pretty little picture...
...or an infographic or diagram.
So that's also part of the post-production process.
It's not just editing.
It could be adding in those infographics,
those sound effects, those voiceovers, any special effects.
Also adding in any type of music.
We have access to plenty of stock sounds and audio...
...for any of your needs that you may have.
Beyond that, the production is then done.
It can be exported in high def.
We do up to 4K video.
We can give it to you on a Blu-ray disc and...
...we can also upload it online for you.
And, in many cases, when we do the production,
we do want to upload it online because...
...YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world.
So, we make sure that it's online and it's optimized.
And we have a special process that Frank has developed...
to make sure that we're utilizing...
...search engine optimization in your YouTube videos.
So we make sure they're highly optimized...
so you rank high and you get a lot of hits and views...
on your videos, to which you then drive people back...
to your product or services and your website...
...ultimately driving that consumer interaction,
whatever that call to action may be.

Civil War Era Intro Video - Duration: 5:53.
Ok everyone, welcome back.
We are about to begin week number 2
and this video is intended to very briefly introduce you to the Civil War era
and to get you thinking about why that period is so important in the history of American capitalism.
In the week ahead, we are going to read eight short
primary source documents that were created during the 1860s and 1870s.
and we are going to discuss those in our group forums.
So let's get to it!
There are some obvious truths that we all probably understand about the Civil War.
That, for example, it was fought between two sides
with different economic systems:
on the one side, the Union, the North, you have a free labor system
Sometimes people emphasize that the North was industrial
that there was a lot of manufacturing there
That's true, but it was still mostly an agricultural society.
Farms were fairly small, worked by
families who owned them and a few laborers who worked for wages as workers did in factories.
On the other side, of course, is the Confederacy,
the Southern states that had seceded in 1860 and 1861.
Their system was based on slave labor.
The most powerful people in the Confederacy, those who led the secession movement,
were owners of large plantations that grew important cash crops, especially cotton.
Plantations workers were enslaved African Americans.
Again, I think we all probably understand the basics of this conflict
For many years, historians saw the differences between North and South as differences
between capitalism in the North and something else in the South
Some people called it feudalism,
or paternalism, or agrarianism,
but whatever it was, it was not capitalism.
And they believed this because they saw wage labor as the critical component of any capitalist system.
This belief led historians to claim, for instance, that the Northern victory was a "triumph of American capitalism."
Historians don't really accept this conclusion anymore.
In recent years, scholars have emphasized that enslaved people were
not only valuable to their owners as a source of labor,
but also as a source of property wealth
that is, enslaved people were themselves
the most important commodity in the Southern economy.
They were bought and sold as investments
through a market in slaves that spread across the South
they were often purchased on credit
—owners went into debt in order to finance the purchase of slaves
their bodies were insured against injury, loss
and their work was quantified carefully
by accountants in order to measure their value to owners.
I include these details to emphasize the point that Southern slavery
was a capitalist system
albeit one that functioned differently than capitalism
in the North or in Europe.
Recall that Jurgen Kocka's definition of capitalism emphasized
commodification—that is, measuring things
by their price;
he also emphasized investment with the hope of future gains,
and markets as the mechanism of allocating and coordinating resources and exchange.
Each of these was essential to the slave system.
But if the Civil War wasn't a "triumph of capitalism,"
it was definitely a revolution in American capitalism.
It was definitely a moment of enormous change.
The documents we are going to read this week tell us about different aspects of this change:
We are going to read about the Republican Party's economic
and social vision for the country.
This is important
because the Republican Party controlled the federal government
for most of the period between 1860, when Abraham Lincoln was elected,
and the 1930s
when the Great Depression had set in.
The party definitely changed during those years,
but the Civil War era was the moment when they could
turn their founding priorities and ideas into law.
We are also going to read about how
victorious Unionists defined or understood
the idea of free labor.
How businessmen understood their place in national politics.
and how freedpeople - the formerly enslaved -
pursued their economic goals.
Finally, broadly, we are going to think about what this revolution
in capitalism actually entailed
What was changing?
What was significant about those changes?
Next week, we will read an article by a historian
that addresses some of these questions.
For now, though, I hope you enjoy reading the primary documents.
Please make sure you give them a couple hours of your time
and have two to three discussion questions posted in your group forum
by Tuesday morning, September 4, at 10:00 am.
Also, keep in mind that in the future,
discussion questions will be due on Monday evenings.
I wanted to give you a little extra time because of the holiday weekend.
And remember to be ready to respond to group questions by
Wednesday, September 5 at 5:00 pm;
and then to respond again your group members' contributions by Thursday, September 6.
