So since I've been making more video content
people have been asking me how they can get started themselves
so I just wanted to share some advice
it doesn't have to be expensive or difficult
even with the equipment you're using you don't need an expensive camera
Just using your phone or the webcam on your laptop is totally fine
the one thing you might want to invest in is a good hands-free kit, or a small lapel microphone
just something to pick up a sound and make sure your voice is super clear
Another important thing is the light
never ever have your back to a light source always try and face
a bright window
or if your office is a dungeon then just try and have a desk lamp that you can use as an extra light source and
Also, make sure you can put your camera or your laptop on something
a stack of books or something to keep it still and that's ideal
But always lift it to your eye level or above your eye level
so you don't end up in a situation where you're stooped over the camera
a tool I'd really recommend using is Soapbox by Wistia
It's a free browser plug-in on include the link in the comments below
But if you're feeling that you want to do a little bit more
post-production work then Clips and the app on iOS
is really good or for something a little bit more professional and
That takes a little bit more of an investment of time then I also recommend iMoive
to play around with
but all-in-all my advice would just be
get started, keep practicing and surely you'll get there
