Quick Tips: How to get a Persian Lilac color (with english subtitles) - Duration: 2:22.

Hi guys!

Today's quick tip tutorial concerns the color of Artifact polymer clay which called Persian lilac.

This color is a cold shade of fuchsia color and is between pink and gentle lilac colors.

In fact, it is already not a pink, but still not purple color.

Here I show you the colors proportions for mixing both for polymer clay and for fondant.

As for fondant, take the pink pigment according to your situation.

In my case, it wasn't necessary, but in your case it might come in handy.

So, cut the colors by equal pieces.

And then mix them well.

After add a little bit of coloring:

it can be oil paint, alcohol ink or pigment.

And in the final you may add extra white color to receive various shades of color.

The same technique is for fondant.

We cut the colors in equal parts,

Thoroughly mix them until resulting color.

Add a pink edible pigment to enhance the saturation If necessary.

But I repeat, that it is optionally.

And in the final you may add white to achieve different shades.

As a result, as you can see, I've got a color which is very similar to the original

and which is perfect for making decorations of gently pink-purple tones.

I recreated the original color, but of course you can vary shades and colors

by adding or reducing additional pigment.

I'm gonna use this color in one of my future tutorial and also this quick tip will be useful if you already have such clay and it suddenly run out.

That's all for now.

See you in my next video.

Bye-bye!

Facts About Me | LINDSIE PHAM ♡ - Duration: 17:55.

(Where ya going?)

I kidnapped her so she could film with me!

Hey guys~

Today I wanna introduce Cassie

Since this video is about me right? ;)

She's a poodle

She's been with me for 6 years

She's my bestfriend

For times that I was down

And for the ups too!

I wanna talk about today's outfits

I'm wearing necklaces from Lovisa

I really like this layers design

And I'm also wearing...

I'm wearing a sweater from Zara, with cute sleeves

Sweatpants from H&M

So today's video is about me

You guys been requesting this video a lot~

You guys also left me a lot of questions

I already noted them down in my cell

And today I'm going to answer them

Alright let it begin!

First thing first

What's my real name?

My real name is Pham Phuong Linh

Why Lindsie?

I went to international schools

All my teachers were foreigners

And it was difficult for them to pronounce Vietnamese names

So everybody in the class had to pick an English name for themselves

Hmm.. my real name is Linh

I gotta pick a name that rhymes with it

And that time I watched a show called "The Parent Trap" with Lindsay Lohan

And Lindsay Lohan was super cute when she was younger

Even though later on her life was kind of a mess

God bless her

So I picked that name for myself

I changed the "-ay" to "-ie"

And I'm so happy I did that

because now when you search for Lindsie Pham, there's just me

My DOB is 9th November 1993

That means I'm turning 24 this year~

It also means I'm a Scorpio

And Scorpio girls are mysterious~

Is any Scorpio watching me out there?

High five ♫

I'm an introverted person

I enjoy doing stuff alone

I enjoy going out by myself, eating by myself and spending loads of alone time

And I think girls who can do that are strong and independent

You don't need someone next to you to keep you whole

You can still make yourself happy

You can live happily alone

Then you can be happy with anyone!

I am 156cm / 5 ft 1

So petit~

Currently I'm 45kg / 99lbs

I was 43kg when I lost weight couple months ago

But to me that was too skinny and it wasn't pretty anymore

So I gained back 2kg

And I gained by exercising and healthy dieting

It made me look healthier and more vibrant instead of pigging out

A lot of you asked whether I gym

Yes and no

I do exercise but instead of going to gym, I exercise at home

I want to make quality videos sharing my healthy eating habits and exercises for you guys in the future!

I wear a 34eur - 4us - 8uk size

A petit girl~

My shoe size is 36eur

I'm short-sighted, my right eye is 200 degree and my left eye is 250 degree

I wear glasses

This one is for work

It's customized with special glasses that avoid fluorescent lights from computer

because I spend hours after hours editing videos

So I gotta have them

This pair is cooler

I wear them to the cinemas, days when I want to rock fashionable clothes

Then I'll wear these

I bought them both at Owndays, you guys been asking a lot so gotta share ♪

I also have a few more pairs to swatch

I have many...

Why so sugary? (I picked the wrong one)

Btw I cannot eat sweet!

(Is the avocado good?)

It's covered in sugar! (Unlucky you)

#IHATESWEET (Other ones don't have that much sugar)

(But is the avocado good?)

I'm currently in Saigon, Vietnam

It's Ho Chi Minh city but I prefer the name Sai Gon, it's nicer~

I've lived here my whole life

I was born in Hanoi, my parents are from Hanoi

When I was 6 month old my parents moved to Saigon and I was raised here

I really enjoyed my study environment before

A lot of you guys asked how I learned English

I'll make a video about tips that I used to learn English

But the most important thing

You need an environment to practice in or friends that you can learn English with

There's a quote that says "Practice makes perfect."

Any thing that you wanna be good at, you need continuous practice

I suggest you to have someone to converse with you everyday in English

then you'll be better at it!

When you message me you can talk to me in English, we can have 1:1 Eng dialogue

I think that's a way I can help you to study English better!

I never studied abroad, my parents forced me to go but I didn't want to leave, I wanted to stay and fool around

Was reallyyyyyy distracted

But now I wanna go...

My thoughts changed through time

I honestly didn't enjoy going to school

I only wanted to study fashion design or art things (but there isn't a good art school in Vietnam)

because I'm such an artistic person!

Daddy's genes~

My parents then wanted me to study something (in their favour) so they could worry less

So I studied business administration

Currently I'm a full-time vlogger

A lot of you asked why I decided to vlog

When I finished studying I was only messing around lol

I didn't think about anything, didn't even have a future plan, super immature and childish

I know when I say that a lot of you would think it's an ideal life that I don't have to do anything

But that life bored me to death

After awhile I began to think that I was wasting my time and youth

I'm doing nothing to my life

And that's something needs to change

I needed to find something to do to fulfill my life

But it had to be something that I'd enjoy doing instead of forcing myself to do

When you force yourself to do something you won't enjoy doing it

And when you don't enjoy doing something you won't do your best or achieve the things that satisfy you

I'm a creative person

And I think I'm smart too

But I couldn't find anything to love

I was blogging that time

I blogged about fashion, style, travel, skincare

And I was lucky to meet a sister

She helped enlightening me

Asking me to make videos

In the videos I can talk directly to you, I can dance around like crazy, I can be more myself

Then I decided to give it a shot

I was also super lucky to have Julie who understands and knows so much about vlogging

She guided me through so many ideas, showed me what people were doing

I was so excited I started it right away

And I have so many unpublished videos, when I didn't know how to talk on camera

That time I was using my cellphone and I was holding it like

Staring blankly at it

Couldn't believe that now I talk so fluently lol~

So I decided to make videos to share with you my lifestyle, how I take care of my skin, how I do my makeup

And I can share with you my travel videos too!

I love what I'm doing right now guys!

I'm so happy that I finally found something I'm so passionate about

And I believe that it's because I've always wanted to find something to do to my life

So the Universe listened to me ♡

When I can talk to so many pretty faces out there

and when I receive a lot of support from you guys

I honestly feel that my life is fulfilling~

It's becoming whole ♡

The reason I'm a blogger/vlogger is because I'm all for beauty and I wanna share all that with you guys~

Alright let's get to the favs

As you already know, I love to make myself pretty

I love good food, I eat ALOT and that's why I need to exercise (I exercise to eat)

I'm soooooo addicted to fashion

I'm a shopaholic and it's baddd

but I can't help~

My eyes literally shine when I see pretty stuff

I'm going to have a closet clearance soon

Hope that you'll support me~

And I also loveee something that I bet you've already known

I LOVE MUSIC~ I loved singing when I was younger

I studied singing for 3 years

when I was about 13 or 14 years old

And I studied piano when I was a child

Since I was 7 years old

My piano master was Head of Piano of the Conservatory of Ho Chi Minh City and I studied at his house

I studied piano until I was 16 years old

And because I love music, I always spent hours to pick the right tracks to put into my videos

And when you told me you enjoyed my videos because of good music

I'm so glad~

Hard work pays off ♫

Thank you guys~ that means we share the same taste in music!!

When I was younger I loved pop and ballad songs

Now I'm older I love EDM and R&B

I love to rave at music festivals

Although I'm petit I dance real hard

And I don't shy away from that because I truly think

Everybody has the right to do whatever they want in their life

We do what we want to do

Don't be afraid of judgements

If I was afraid to be judged I wouldn't be myself now

In our life, the people who love and support us are the ones we need to care about

And those who only bring negativity into your life, you should wave goodbye to them immediately

Bye bitch~

LOVE TO TRAVEL!!!

I love traveling because when I go out, I see the world and I learn a lot from it

And I really wanna share it with you

I also love reading books

I love to read books about self-development

to become a more complete person

And the final thing that puts a closure to today's chat

It's a question about my life motto

My life motto is love yourself

No matter who you are, where you're from, you have to love yourself

and look at the bright side!

I believe that when you adopt positive thinking, your life will change through time to the positive side (suddenly lighting is so great)

I'm actually not happy all the time

But there are also off days when I feel sad and empty

If one day suddenly you don't feel like doing anything

Just let it be, let your soul feel whatever it needs to feel

Don't worry about it, don't overthink, everything will be okay in the end

Like I said, the more positive you are, the more positive your life will become

And that's my life motto!

The Check In: Airline Deregulation - Duration: 7:42.

-Congress today held a hearing

questioning airline executives

about what changes they plan to make

in light of some horrific incidents lately on airlines

like United, Delta, and American,

because while those events prove shocking to most people,

after nearly 40 years of government deregulation

in the airline industry, perhaps they shouldn't.

So, how did we get here?

Well, it's time for "The Check In."

[ Cheers and applause ]

Now, although Trump denounced the United Airlines incident,

it may be a bit difficult for him to relate

to how awful air travel is these days,

since he's now flying on Air Force One

and, before that, had his own private airplane.

-Trump's own plane, perhaps the most ostentatious.

it has gold-plated seatbelts,

a bathroom with gold-plated fixtures,

onboard home theaters, even a special VIP lounge.

-He has a VIP lounge in his private airplane.

That's a rich thing inside of a richer thing.

It's like keeping the keys to your Maserati in a Fabergé egg.

Also, imagine getting on a private plane

and finding out you're not on the list

for the whole private plane.

"Yeah, I'm sorry, bro. I just don't see an Eric on here."

"Dad! Dad! I'm not on the list!"

[ Laughter ]

Now, United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz

was asked about the debacle on his plane,

as well as the bizarre incidents on other airlines

and had this reaction.

-[ Sighs ] The industry is getting a black eye.

Yeah, "black eye"

probably not the best choice of words right now.

"I would say currently the whole industry

is being dragged down the aisle with its belly exposed."

And Munoz also referred to the United situation

as "a system failure."

And he's not wrong when he says that

because in this system, anyone can be kicked off

an overbooked flight against their will.

in fact, according to the Department of Transportation,

in 2015 alone, 46,000 customers

were involuntarily bumped from flights.

You might not know about it, but it's a policy

to which you agree to when you book your tickets.

-In the fine print, you can be asked

to leave a flight, involuntarily,

without any compensation as you decide it.

-Even worse, in the fine print,

it also says ass-kickings are like checked luggage --

Only the first one is free. After that, they're $50 each.

[ Laughter ]

So, how did it come to this?

Well, years ago, only the wealthy and privileged

could afford to even get on an airplane.

But that all changed when President Carter

signed the Airline Deregulation Act in 1978

which basically removed government control

over everything from prices to routes,

which also meant the government could no longer

keep prices of flights artificially high.

And this was good for travelers

who could now make much quicker trips to visit relatives,

unless they hated those relatives,

in which case air travel robbed you

of the 15-hour drive where you could psych yourself up

to deal with your passive-aggressive mother-in-law.

"Good to see you, Lydia."

"Good to finally see you, Kevin."

"Kids, get back in the car!"

[ Laughter ]

But with cheaper fares, the airlines had to figure out

how to make up for the lost income.

So over time the seats became smaller,

the food became either inedible or nonexistent,

and everything in general got worse.

Remember the mile-high club?

There was a time where people

actually wanted to have sex in an airplane bathroom.

Now airplane bathrooms are so small,

if you get an erection, you have to open the door.

[ Laughter ]

And that...

will ruin the mood.

And some experts have drawn a link

between how the airlines operate these days

and the deregulation of the industry in general.

-You saw this week United Airlines

with that horrible situation.

Those are a direct result of deregulation going so far

that companies literally have no regard

to their employee-- For their customers. Excuse me.

And no fear of repercussions if they treat them badly.

-To make matters worse,

according to reports since deregulation,

the airline industry lost a collective $60 billion,

and more than 160 airlines filed for bankruptcy.

And even a former airline C.E.O. said that market forces alone

cannot and will not produce a satisfactory airline industry.

That's right -- airline customers

don't develop brand loyalty

the way they do with other products.

Your pilot might as well say, "Hey, folks, we know you have

a lot of choices when you fly, so thanks for choosing

the cheapest flight you could find on KAYAK."

[ Laughter ]

Because, let's be honest -- the main reason airline travel

is so awful is that we, the customer,

are okay with it being awful

as long as the ticket prices are low enough.

If there was an airline that offered $50 round-trip tickets

to any destination in America as long as the pilot

could open-hand slap one passenger of his choosing,

in the face,

that airline would never have an empty seat.

You would just click on it and say, "I like those odds."

[ Laughter ]

So, whatever solution there may be,

it will probably have to come from the government.

Unfortunately, it probably won't come from our government.

Because Trump made this promise

to U.S. airline industry executives

less than a month after he took office.

-You're gonna be so happy with Trump.

Think you already are.

So we want to help you realize these goals by rolling back

burdensome regulations, and you people are regulated

probably as much as almost anybody,

although I can think of a couple of industries

that are even worse.

-"Like, for example, the phony university industry --

that's worse."

[ Laughter ]

"I mean there are so many regulations

on phony universities,

it's almost impossible to keep them in business."

[ Laughter ]

And, by the way, Trump has also promised

to privatize air traffic control,

calling the system, "Totally out of whack."

So, who does the president turn to for advice

when it comes to our airlines,

airports, and air traffic control issues?

-I have a pilot who's a real expert.

My pilot -- he's a smart guy --

and knows what's going on,

said the government is using the wrong equipment.

-And before you trust Trump's pilot, remember,

this is Trump's doctor.

[ Laughter and applause ]

So, I wouldn't be surprised if this is Trump's pilot.

♪♪

[ Laughter ]

No, Trump has already taken steps to dismantle

Obama-era rules to try to make the airlines more transparent

by putting on hold a proposal

to require more disclosure of passenger fees.

And according to reports and filings,

delaying the implementation of a separate regulation

requiring airlines to disclose when they mishandle wheelchairs

and motorized scooters for the disabled.

Because if there's one thing our Founding Fathers believed,

It was you had the right

to [bleep] with someone's wheelchair and not admit to it.

[ Laughter ]

And although some regulations are burdensome and ineffective,

Trump seems to blame them

for pretty much all the government's problems.

And about a month into his presidency,

he had already signed an executive order aimed at

rolling back regulations across government agencies.

And here's how he made the case for that.

-We're gonna be cutting regulation massively.

Now, we're gonna have regulation,

and it'll be just as strong and just as good

and just as protective of the people

as the regulation we have right now.

-What?

[ Laughter ]

We're gonna get rid of regulations massively,

but it will still be as good as what we have now?

That's like your surgeon telling you

he's gonna cut off both your legs, but don't worry,

you'll get around even better than before --

as long as you don't bring your wheelchair to the airport.

[ Laughter ]

So, sure, some rules need to be eliminated and reassessed,

but having government regulations

is why we feel safe breathing the air,

eating the food we buy at the grocery store,

and getting on an airplane.

If we deregulate the industry any further,

all of our airlines could end up looking like this.

WebAssembly and All, All, All: #1.31 the latest News (the Good Parts) - Duration: 4:49.

WebAssembly, we have been waiting for it a decade or more.

Was it worth it?

I think, WebAssembly is the big leap for the web development.

Hurray!..

Or not?

We will see if it works well.

[Music playing]

Hi!

Let's talk today about WebAssembly and what change it can bring to the Web Development.

I'm Anatol and you are watching the Good Parts of the Frontend development.

[Music playing]

Let's kick off with the article titled "A cartoon intro to WebAssembly" by Lin Clark

on Mozzila Hacks.

As you may heard, WebAssembly is fast.

In this series you can learn what makes WebAssembly fast.

WASM reduces time spent across all 6 categories: Parsing, Compiling + optimizing, Re-optimizing,

Execution and Garbage collection.

Unlike JavaScript, WebAssembly is a binary format.

Let's turn to another article "Previewing the WebAssembly Explorer" by Dan Callahan

containing a very useful video tutorial.

Using this Explorer you can facilitate WebAssembly learning and understanding.

WebAssembly: Under the hood with Mozilla.

In this video you can get familiarized with WebAssembly's working principles, how this

relates to JavaScript, and how it was all developed.

One more informative video is "WebAssembly: A game changer for the Web".

It's all about why WebAssebly allows developers to build applications for the Web that run

at near-native speeds.

[Music playing]

Mads Sejersen published "WebAssembly  - The missing tutorial".

V8 supports WebAssembly starting from 2016, but documentation is still far from good.

So, this blog post covers the basics of WebAssembly and how to export functions that operate on

either integer or floating point values.

The second part of this manual is "Interacting with Javascript from WebAssembly".

Here you can read how to use WebAssembly modules in your JavaScript.

Valeri Karpov in his turn proposes to your attention two erzatz-benchmark examples, where

WebAssembly functions can play faster than old good JavaScript.

The author considers two trivial cases.

The first one is a simple adding two numbers and the second one is a function which computes

factorial recursively.

In second case, WebAssembly wins.

[Music playing]

If you're ready to try WebAssembly, you'll definitely find the article "WebAssembly type-checking"

by Ben Smith useful.

In this blog post he describes how A Stack Machine works and operations could be converted

to WebAssembly.

Finally, you can try to create your first WebAssembly Hello World application.

In the article "Build Your First Thing With WebAssembly" Nick Larsen described how to

write a JavaScript module in ASM.js notation and transform it to a WebAssembly binary file.

[Music playing]

If you like this video give it "thumbs up", share it with your friends, subscribe to the

channel and watch other episodes.

[Music playing]

This is all for this week.

Thanks for watching and stay curious.

Great News - Worst News Broadcast Ever (Episode Highlight) - Duration: 1:42.

We begin our broadcast with reports of

turn around, dumb-dumb--

[both] You're facing the wrong way.

- No, don't say it. No, turn your chair around.

- Just turn your chair around.

Oh, me! Um--

- [sighs] - We begin our br--

- Oh, good. This is happening.

- With reports of a pipeline explosion

in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan.

Oh, no, that's Katie's neighborhood.

I hope she's okay.

Hang on, Angie, I'm going to call her.

[cell phone ringing] - Oh.

- Your chair is-- - Would you like me to see

if I can get the hula-dancing cats back in here?

- No. - Okay.

- Oh, no, I don't know how to pronounce this word.

- Conflag--conflagre-- - Conflagradion.

Okay, it's C-O-N-F-L-A-G-R-A-T-I-O-N

was finally contained. - You know what?

It's still better than rehearsal.

- Mm. Well, that was a weird show.

Angie should be happy, though.

Chuck said her name, like, eight times.

- You think anybody noticed that I was

reading Chuck his lines?

[together] So when it comes to my reproductive health,

there's no substitute for a vaginal self-exam.

- Ooh, I think I was reading Portia's lines by mistake.

Does that matter, Chuck?

- Back to you, Chuck. - What?

- Oh, no. I think people

may have noticed. - Oh, I guess it's game over

for old Desk Crotch. - For who?

- I still don't know how to work the machines.

I just ask a bunch of nerds to help me with everything.

Come on, there's nothing left for me to do now

except fill my purse with lots of pens and diet soda

and hand in my resignation.

- No, Mom. You did a good job today.
