SRIRACHA BUDDHA BOWL | Fat Boy Slimming #8 - Duration: 4:18.

Hello everyone it is barry here welcome to my virgin beach?!

Well my virgin kitchen the builders are making some noise in the house today so I thought

I would step out as I enjoyed doing the voiceover out of the kitchen the other day and thought

I would take you to the beach by my house this is wales right in the background I live

opposite wales so there we go a bit of random scenery for you, todays final recipe in fat

boy slimming month which I have really enjoyed feeling really good and healthy and hope I

have inspired you to change your thinking a little bit and eat a little healthier, this

is a vegan Buddha bowl ok it is called a buddha bowl because it is round and supposed to replicate

the buddha belly but it is really healthy it is vegan, this is coconut rice, we have

curried chickpeas in there with some blistered peppers, onions and kale, with a sriracha

and sesame seed topping I absolutely love this and there is so many ways to customise

it there are a few rules with all the method that I will explain on my website so it is

really flexible you can put in quinoa or brown rice but ultimately keep it vegan so no meat,

or nothing with a face, is that how you call it when it is vegan, as long as it did not

originate from something with a face on it anyhow this is the way I did it, and even

if you follow this if you like sriracha it will blow your mind.

We are going to start off with the coconut rice which is gorgeous you will love this,

grab yourself a saucepan pour in some low fat coconut milk then add in the same amount

of cold water little drizzle of honey, then a pinch of salt, give that a little stir together

before pouring in the rice, all you do is bring that up to a low simmer, as soon as

it hits that, whack your lid on, and leave it for about 20 minutes to do its thing while

we do our other steps.

Now we make our balsamic blistered vegetables which is amazing, grab a second pan so this

is a frying pan, little bit of oil in there some sliced peppers which we just de-seeded

into matchstick shapes, some onions, give it a good old season and mix around, then

I got inspired I decided to chuck kale in there because kale is quite stubborn and butch

it takes a while to shrivel it down we put that in ok we are going to do this.

With that all mixed in put the lid on that frying pan ok, so that is going to help steam

those vegetables and soften them up you are going to caramelise them all that sweetness

will come out and that kale is going to soften it is going to go oh yeah baby, in total it

will take about ten minutes to blister up but after 5 minutes take the lid off, give

it a stir and you will be fine.

The third thing is our curried chickpeas which is going to be super simple, grab another

pan pour in the drained chickpeas, dollop in curry paste of your choice, a good generous

dollop of oil on there do you actually dollop oil?

No you pour it on, um season it too, mix it through until nice and coated, then just put

on a low flame, mix it from time to time and just cook til charred takes about 8 minutes.

So all in all you have the three stations at the moment, you have the rice, charred

vegetables and of course the gorgeous curried chickpeas with the vegetables actually just

for the last minute pour in a little splash of balsamic vinegar that will give it a lovely

tang and you are ready to serve it up.

I wanted to make the sauce step which is kind of like the 4 parts to a buddha bowl easy

so I went with sriracha which I have fallen in love with but you could go crazy with your

own homemade tahini sesame sauce anything like that go to town on it, perhaps a hummus

whatever you like, so in a bowl first of all I put in the rice so piled that in nice and

high, then I shoved in my chickpeas and dumped in that charred vegetables you can fill that

up and make it as pretty or gorgeous as you like, I am kind of pretty in training which

is the story of my life, but I finished it with a swirl of sriracha and a sprinkle of

sesame seeds on top, I had a taste of that, a taste?

Maybe I am getting Australian because I am by the sea, I was absolutely in heaven it

was so good, really hope you try it.

So there we are then folks fat boy slimming month has come to an end I have loved these

recipes if you want some more healthy inspiration do check out the playlist, I will be doing

some throughout the year but also doing it for a personal basis and some other exercises

too I hope you have enjoyed it, if you try this recipe send me a picture @myvirginkitchen

remember to subscribe for regular recipe videos and food fun, let me know down below anything

you want to see next, cheers, now where did I park my car.

Rainy Portraits in the Studio: Take and Make Great Photography with Gavin Hoey - Duration: 10:30.

In this video I create a rainy window

portrait in a small home studio

hello I'm Gavin Hoey and you're watching

AdoramaTV. Brought to you by Adorama - the

camera store that's got everything for us

photographers! And today you join me

inside my small home studio which is

lucky because outside it's cold wet and

rainy except we are actually going to make it rain in

the studio, and I'm going to create a

rainy window portrait, after this I need

a few bits of kit. It all starts with

flash and I've got my Streaklight 360 on

a glow softbox up there, but also need a

small speedlight as well! And that's just

the lights, that's all we're going to use. The window

well no actual windows involved in fact

it's this - this is a sheet of three millimeter

perspex and that is going to

become our window, once we set everything

up. So! Well let's get a model in, let's

get shooting. Today I've been joined in

the studio by Beth, who's gonna be the

model for this shoot. Now she's already

positioned behind our window, but for the

light, well I've got a large softbox and

a Streaklight 360, so just a single light

source. I want to try and create the look

and feel of an overcast cloudy day, so a

big soft box is the way to go, and also

an elevated light source, because of

course the lights going to come down from above.

Now we got Beth in front of a black

background. I want it to be dark in the

background because if she was inside it

would be darker inside than outside. That

kind of works. I've metered this out at f/11.

Let's just take a picture with the

single light and see how it looks.

Beth are you ready? And get here we go.

And that's great, we get a nice well exposed

shot behind a rather tacky looking piece

of plastic, but it works. So to create

the rain, I'm going to use a water spray

and just going to spray the glass in

front of Beth. You ready? Here we go. Now

how much of this you put on is entirely

up to you, because it's going to change

the look and the feel. I think I want

quite a wet day - we're in the UK her

we are used to a bit of rain, so let's get

quite a bit of water on there.

Now you can add as much water as you

like to this, it's going to affect the the

look and feel of the shot, so maybe add a

little to begin with, and then build it

up as you go through. Ok, let's take a

test shot see how this looks.

Here we go! And it's lovely, it doesn't

affect the exposure at all. Of course it

does affect the look and feel of the

picture and f/11 - that means I've

got enough deputy of field to get the

water drops and Beth's face in focus, at

the same time, if you want to do a

variation of this you could just change

the depth of field, reduce the flash

power, go for a shallower depth of field

and maybe just have the water drops in

focus or just the models face in focus.

Now I talked about depth of field in

another video but for now I want

everything in focus, but I also want a

bit of detail in the background! To light

the background, I'm going to use a second

light, so your little speed light, so this is

just a Flashpoint Zoom Lithium Li-on speed

light, just pop this around the back.

I want to be careful that it doesn't

actually hit the back of Beth I'm going

to aim this at the background like that.

Let's take a shot like that, see how that

goes

Here we go, now that looks really good, but

maybe it's not bright enough!

Well I can actually change the power of

the speed light remotely, using the remote

control and get a bit brighter here we go!

I think maybe that's just a little bit

too bright, so I think in the end I'm

going to go somewhere in the middle. That

just helps to separate that out from the

background and give this a bit more

depth to the image.

Ok so that's the basic step. Lets take some pictures.

Brilliant, ok there we go, so we got some

nice little shots there. We had some nice

little things set up, some props for Beth

to interact with that worked really well.

But I reckon there is another shot, if, we just

rotate everything 90 degrees. Now that's just

going to take a moment. Hang on their.. Beth if you

would step out for me.

For the second set up what I've done is

I've literally just taking the entire

set turned it 90 degrees, but you will

notice one thing has changed. It's the

background. I've swapped from the black

background to the gray background. Now

the only reason I've done that, is

because I'm working in a small home

studio, and space is at a premium, and I

don't have any room to get a second

flash in there and separate out the

light. So to make sure that the

background doesn't go pure heavy black I've

gone for a grey rather than black.

That's the only difference, however in

moving things around I've lost a bit of

water, so we'll just add a bit more water

onto the background. There we go

I'm going to shoot this in a different

direction. So where before I was shooting

this way I'm going to turn myself 90

degrees as well, so I'm going to shoot from

the side, and have a sort of glancing

shot down through the side here. Now in

order to get this to work, I want a

shallower depth of field, because shooting

at this angle is really going to lend

itself to a shallow depth of field. We'll

have some in focus and out-of-focus

areas, that means I need to re-meter

this light to f/2.8, which is as wide open

as this lens will go. Let's just check the

meter reading for that, here we go,

and that is f/2.2 so it almost there.

we just need to pop it up slightly f/2.8

Ok, so correct exposure. Beth are you ready? Let's

take a few shots like this. So Beth I'd like you to

look out the window, that's it.

Brilliant! Ok, so there we go, we've

got some great photos there, This was a

really simple but so effective technique.

Now to make this really work as a

window, we got a little bit of photoshop

work to do, and I'm going to do that

right now. There's really only one thing missing from

my fake window, and that's the outside

world, because when it didn't exist it

was a fake window in a small home studio!

That's what I'm going to add in

Photoshop - the outside world, and to do it

you can use the most any image.

Let me show you what I mean, so this is

the picture I want to add in my

reflection of the outside world, and this

is the outside world, I want to add it.

Now, it doesn't have to be this image but

this is a previous AdoramaTV, where I did

a 15 minute photo challenge.. in this

location. I kind of thought it'd be good to

use it again now! The first thing I'm

going to do - is just go to select, and all

and then go over to edit and copy, so

this gets copied into the computer

memory, go back to the main image and

choose edit again and this time paste.

Now when I paste it it's going to fit

perfectly, because they were taken with

the same camera. But it doesn't really

allow me to see through it because I

need to change the layer blending mode.

So over here on the right-hand side

where it says normal, I drop that down.

I'm going to find screen, and screen is

going to be the blending mode that's

going to make the magic happen. Now this

stage it still doesn't look quite right.

So let's come over to the opacity and

on the opacity going to drop it down

probably two roundabout 30 to

40%... something like that.

Now at this point, you could stop here

because in a way it does kind of look a

bit like a reflection, but for me just a

bit too sharp, a bit too defined and my

reflection needs to be a lot blurrier, and this

is why you can use almost any image

whatsoever.

Let's have a look.. so I'm going to come

back to my menu at the top and choose

filter and then I'm going to come down

to blur and Gaussian blur.

I'm going to blur this a lot, and I do

mean a lot, the more I blur it the less

distinct it becomes, I don't see that

line here for example, I could keep it in,

there is no reason why not, but i think I just

want to sort of a generic blurry mess, so

probably something at around about s

the 80's I think ... 70 to 80...

that looks fine. I'll click ok, and that

gives me that lovely misty blur that's a

reflection. But it's not a reflection, I

could even perhaps just drop the opacity

ever so slightly lower, just to bring

that down, so it doesn't affect but it's

not overly clear what it does. So that's

without, and that's with. Then you can

see how that just makes it feel a lot

more like a real window, because that's

how real glass windows work, and there you

go! There's my final rainy day picture

completed. I'm really pleased with how

that came out, and it was incredibly

simple to do. What we needed was a bit of

water and a sheet of perspex. Now if you want to see

Think Outcome Rather Than Success - NLP Mind Hack - Duration: 7:29.

how's words affect your experiences

stay tuned. This is Damon Cart From NLP Gym

think outcome rather than success and

NLP mind hack if you haven't already

please click subscribe to this YouTube

channel so you can get these videos on a regular basis

what is neuro-linguistic about the way

you think everything is it's hard to say

what exactly creates thought is a word

that comes first and then you think it

or you think it first and then create a

word for it obviously when were born we

don't have language right away so we

think and it's hard to even imagine like

how exactly do we think without words

during that time but yeah we obviously

have to have thoughts we obviously think

eventually we put together

what's happening around this and we

start putting it in words so there is a

time before that but when that happens

within the first year of our lives words

and thoughts become enmeshed we make

generalizations in order to make

shortcuts to our thinking and if we

didn't do this we would every time we go

to learn something new we would have to

start from scratch just like we were

trying to learn something new all over

again we're generalizing allows us to do

is to take information that we've

already learned our understanding that

you've already learned already learned

and apply it to something new and this

helps us to learn much faster and this

is a form of generalizing for example it

is told and I burned myself I don't need

to go and touch every single little

dicey to see if it burns me to

understand that also and potentially

firmly I can generalize that information

to every other so that I see every word

is a generalization and

every word that I know I reference to a

reference experience a memory and all

these memories of the river experience

it must have happened in the past and

Artur me to remember it

however that doesn't stop me or relating

it to new experiences

just like I can witness different types

of rain i think i can witness you know

ring that is really sick or ring that

goes slanted and still know that it's

raining as I can generalize it over or i

can go to a country I've never been

before and when it starts to rain

I know that it's raining it's not just

go to many different contexts doesn't

mean i don't know that that's part of

collagen organization can carry through

time and also space when it comes to

getting what we want words can either

really trip us up already they can like

the way with images sounds voices or

feelings come up with you when I say the

word success what comes up for you when

i say your personal success when I think

about success in general success and I

think go to like a rap video with a

yacht and of mercedes-benz and BMW and

these fancy cars and women in bikinis

and homies that it's not even real

turning when I think of my own personal

success is opens up a duality I see

images or movies of me doing things that

i love the link under the movies are big

and bright colorful and i also see the

possibilities of failing it's sort of

like when you invite in this idea except

you also invite in this idea

failure success itself implies that

there's such a thing as failure what I'm

getting at is the word except is loaded

with a lot of emotion and it's not all

positive emotion for most people

there's a lot of negative emotions that

go into it as well maybe you're not that

kind of person maybe that works doesn't

he does it all for you but for a lot of

people does and I'm one of them

what happens when you replace the word

success with the word outcome for me it

was a lot of the emotional baggage that

goes with it and if you think about it

you can refer to yourself as a success

you can refer to yourself as a failure

at this whether or not you 16 is about

me water or about your identity that

you're a successful person part of your

identity but when you fail now your

failure the using the word outcome

attaches you from that it's about

getting results that you want not so

much about who you are so the word

outcome you can't really call yourself

an outcome like you are a success to our

facility or not an outcome i can't say i

am an outcome i mean i can say that it's

silly since it's not bad to your

identity

well then it's not about who you are is

about the strategies you're using or the

topics or technique of your resources

when you can detach it from your

ethnicity and you strive to achieve an

outcome and you don't get it

well it's all the only thing you have to

do this changeup the strategy are read

the feedback and decide to do something

different

it's not about who you are its success

and failure is about who you are and you

succeed or fail then you got stuck with

yourself and then you put on yourself

with something that's wrong with you

fail or if you succeed they're not

accepting that suddenly I felt something

phenomenal failure who needs an

emotional roller coaster and you think

in terms of outcome this just about

getting the results you want and when

you don't get the results you want

it's not really about you it's just

about changing up the strategy changing

up the way in which you go about getting

the outcome and all you do is really

just do something different not be

someone different

to sum it all up not getting working war

is just about the outcome it's just

about the results and read the results

accepting that feedback and then doing

something different that's all

so when you're setting goals and you're

making plans think in terms of outcomes

rather than success or failure try it on

and let me know how it goes

Academic Support Services Video- Library and Tutoring Services at Atlantic Cape - Duration: 4:46.

Welcome to Academic Support Services of

Atlantic Cape. You can feel comfortable

coming to the library at any of our

three campuses to get the academic

support you need to excel in your classes.

All the tutoring services are available

at no cost to the students.

Appointments can be made for both

English and Math. They're both about 90

minutes long.

That way we have time to get to the

material needed. If you do need another

appointment, you are more than welcome to

schedule another one. So between the Math

lab and the English lab, we tutor almost

everything at the college. We've got math

and chemistry classes. We've got business

in English classes. We even have computer

science and the other Sciences on campus

like anatomy. But personally I tutor the

early math classes, algebra and advanced

math classes, calculus as well as the

first level of chemistry and some of the

more theory classes like application or descrete. If

there is a particular book here at the

college, we can always get that book for

them using our Inter Library Loan service,

totally free of charge.

But it's not just traditional books, we

also have tremendous resources online

are online databases, if they need to

find scholarly journal articles.

We also have an extensive eBook collection that I help

the students use. As being a tutor for a

number of years I find that students

utilize the services there that they

really improve their grade and feel more

comfortable with the subject and it helps them in all areas.

As a student you are able to get

assistance creating an essay outline,

what we'll do is we'll sit down with you,

will help you create a thesis statement

that fits your topic and from there we

will help you get the main ideas for

each paragraph to go in your essay and

from there always pull the information

from your resources, and you can write

your paper. Tutors are available to help

students writing a paper creating a work

cited page using MLA or APA format or

just simply having a paper proof read.

All students have to do is drop in to have a tutor review

or proof read their paper.

The environment is warm and welcoming

and if students feel comfortable they can come in and they

can get assistance in the area or they

or they can just come in work assignments as groups.

Our online databases are totally accessible

from at home. All you need to do is get the

login from the library and you're able

to go to the library website and access

all our databases EBSCOhost Gale

Reference collection all those resources

are free of charge from home. The tutoring

center is equipped to help students face

any challenges they may have. Whether

that the visual or auditory learning

disabilities.

I work in both the math and English labs

so I was assisting a friend of mine who

needed help prepping for a test.

Now this person hadn't passed the test

all semester. So, after an hour of sitting

down with me she was able to finally

pass one of her math tests. A common class that

gives problems on campus is calculus. I'm in particular

online calculus because people will work

and have their teacher email them back

and forth but that doesn't always allow

them to get the step-by-step help they

need. When they come into the tutoring lab

me or another one of the tutors

can sit down with them and work through

the problems they can find out what

they're having trouble with and how to

fix that. I personally worked with the

disabled student with a visual

disability and through working with him

in the classroom specifically his grades

were able to improve and back up those

classroom experience with the assistive

technologies that are found in every

library across the Atlantic Cape. Some of our

online courses actually have online

tutoring on Blackboard itself. So even if

you are unavailable to come to the

campuses, we have these services

available to assist you at all times. So

I also work as an embedded tutor which

means I work inside a special class

with the teacher and a full classroom of

kids to provide tutoring one-on-one

during our class time or as more people

needed. I just help them out with basic

grammar and spell check and

they were really thankful and that was

something that was really touching. That

I was able to help them out so much with

things that they found difficult. The

students need to know they're not alone

when they get an assignment they can

turn to the library. Our library and

tutoring services are available

year-round. Check out our website at
