Will Your Savings Get Caught In Government Shutdown Crossfire?

Donald Trump and the GOP face a major hurdle as their first budget test looms next week,

along with several problematic issues that could prevent an agreement and trigger a government

shutdown.

The potential shutdown would put a hiccup in federal bureaucracy for a few weeks, but

that�s not the real reason Americans should be worried. Turns out, there may be an unseen

economic danger that could affect you and your savings.

Shutdown Dejavu?

We�ve been down this road before, haven�t we?

Back in 2013, federal legislators failed to reach an agreement on funding appropriation,

and there were some serious consequences. This time the fallout could be just as bad,

or even worse.

The political mechanics of why are a little confusing, so let�s break it down piece-by-piece.

There�s a sensitive relationship between the debt ceiling and the federal budget. Both

require congressional approval, and big problems arise if either gets blocked.

Here�s where things get complicated�

In negotiations of the federal budget, the majority party (in this case, Republicans),

can hold the debt ceiling �hostage,� so to speak as a way to influence the president

� plus legislators from the opposing party.

Republicans have to be careful not to overplay their hand, though. If they do, it could result

in a shutdown, which nobody wants - each group for their own reasons.

That said, why should Americans care? What are the risks? And why could this shutdown

be worse than the last?

Why the Stakes Are So High

On March 15, the debt ceiling expired, and the Treasury (acting on behalf of the president)

was forced to start using �extraordinary measures� to keep the U.S. from defaulting

on its debt.

If Congress doesn�t act briskly, we could see another credit downgrade or worse. And

a government shutdown caused by budgetary squabbles would dramatically increase the

chances of that happening.

However, there�s one thing that makes this shutdown particularly special, not to mention

uniquely risky.

According to data from LPL Financial, analyzed and reported on by Ryan Vlastelica at MarketWatch,

there have only been a handful of government shutdowns under one party�s control. But

those few shutdowns have historically been the most economically damaging.

Vlastelica writes (emphasis added):

�A shutdown during a united government could underline the difficulty of major legislation

getting passed, something investors are particularly attuned to right now. The rally that was sparked

by Trump�s election started to unravel when a health-care reform bill was pulled because

it didn�t have the votes to pass. The post-election rally largely occurred because investors viewed

Trump�s economic agenda on taxes, infrastructure and regulation to be positive for growth.

The prospect of those initiatives not coming to fruition has raised questions that the

market�s robust move was unwarranted.� So not only could this potential shutdown

put the U.S.�s creditworthiness at risk of taking another hit (and causing a repeat

of all the negative economic consequences Americans were forced to suffer last time),

but it could be a big downward trading signal for equities markets as well.

But in the meantime, your savings could easily get caught in the crossfire while federal

politicians duke it out.

How to Keep Another Shutdown from Touching Your Wealth

The last time there was a government shutdown, then-President Obama acted like a petulant

child by shutting down national parks and even fencing off national monuments and posting

armed guards to keep people out. This was intentionally designed to cause conflict so

that Congress would raise the debt ceiling faster � illustrating how desperately the

president needs Congress to act on it.

This time the president is facing off against his own party, and throwing up roadblocks

to the negotiation like border wall funding.

Trump is calling Republicans� bluff, most likely because the all-important 100-day mark

of his presidency is quickly approaching. Fearing scorn from media and the public for

compromising his plans, Trump is increasing the chances of another shutdown (and consequently

another debt ceiling crisis) to avoid losing face.

Obviously, it�s not the end of the world if certain non-essential functions of government

don�t have money to operate for a week or two� so what�s there to worry about?

Well, the biggest risk is another downgrade to the U.S. credit rating, which could crash

both bonds and stocks�

On top of that, a shutdown under single-party rule sends a message to market makers that

Trump�s many proposed policies for the economy � the ones responsible for the rally in

stocks we�ve seen over previous months � aren�t as likely to come true as previously hoped,

which could send markets down even further.

However, such a scenario would cause an equal and opposite reaction in another type of investment

that Americans could take advantage of. Essentially, it would send investors flocking to safe haven

investments like gold and silver, which would drive metal prices through the roof.

This shutdown could send a huge ripple effect throughout the global economy, affecting financial

markets across world. Securing your wealth yet with gold could be a crucial step toward

ensuring your safety.

5 Powerful Tips to Remember Your Lyrics! from Singing After 40 - Duration: 4:45.

Hello my name is Barbara Lewis. Are you a

singer over 40? Do you have trouble

remembering some of your lyrics some of

the time? If that's the case. then I have

some great tips for you! Please stay

tuned! Hello again. I want to talk about

remembering lyrics now. I've been a

singer and a teacher for over thirty

years. And during part of those years of

performing, I did a lot of one women

shows - one woman shows. And in some of

those shows. I would sing act and dance.

Some of them had as many as 10,000 words

in them! And it was a pretty big task to

remember all of that. So I found a lot of

different ways to do it.

But right now, I want to talk about the

slightly simpler task of remembering

lyrics to songs, not big shows. So number

one... find the right lyrics! I find this is

really important these days because

there's a lot of lyrics on the internet -

and many of them are simply wrong. So

when you're singing your song... and

eventually you hear someone sing that

song correctly, you realize that you've

been singing the wrong words! it's very

hard to get those wrong words out of

your brain. So number ONE - get as close to

the source as you can. If you can, go to

the songwriter's site - website - and get the

lyrics there. Do that or listen to the

very first singer who sang that song and

jot down the right lyrics. And then you

have the right thing in front of you and

in your brain to begin with.

Secondly... what I would suggest you do is

listen to a lot of different, good

singers singing the right lyrics. If you

do that, the lyrics begin to come into

your brain in the rhythm of the song. And

that's really helpful. You almost don't have to work to

remember quite a few of their lyrics, if

you do it this way - if you listen to

really good singers. And you listen to it

often... Number 3 - write the lyrics down.

If you have a printer, take the lyrics

off the internet and print them out.

I'm going to show you here up on the

left how I do my lyric sheets.

In fact I have a whole video that will

explain a variety of ways to deal with

lyrics when they're on the printed page.

But have a look up here just for now. As you

see here, this is how your lyrics

should look when you print them out.

You're going to make them very clear.

Here I have three verses and I've

outlined the first line of each verse.

And in the end your map your lyric map

will look something like this.

So as you'll see, printing out your

lyrics can be very very helpful. I've put

a link to that video. it's a short video

on my website - just below this video here.

So you can go and look at that

and follow some of the tips, if you want

to. Number 4 has to do with movement.

Hand movement that you can use in a

concert if there's some words you just

cannot remember. There was one actually

in that video that I just showed you. There was one opening to the second... I think

it was second chorus - where it says "As a

nation trembles, a spirit soars." And I

could not remember "a spirit soars." So

when I started that verse "as a nation

trembles," I would always move my hand up

"a spirit soars." And on my hand I would

remember the the feeling of the words as

my hand soared up. These are the kinds of

things that you can do. Some of them are

a little bit obvious, but you can be very

discrete in your movements. And the

audience won't know but it will be very

helpful. Number 5 is total body

involvement. Now I'm not going to get

into that here. When you look at the

video, if you do, you'll see what I have

to say about getting your whole body

involved in remembering lyrics. Sometimes,

as a last resort, that's what you need to

do. You need to dance through the lyrics.

You need to move through the lyrics and

your memory

will bring back those words. You won't do

that on stage. You're not going to dance

on stage... unless you do! But you don't

have to. Your body will remember the

lyrics, and it will bring them into your

consciousness at the right time. So those

are my 5 tips. There's much much more information on my

website on the link that I put just

game but we have revealed new weapons to

ourselves and you'll find out how and

why and what those guns are after we

intro so guys we all know that yesterday

we got a little teaser website trailer

basically throughout the review

livestream they had these little codes

on the screen and you would put them

into the website and you would find out

new things things being you would find

out like character information notes I

guess this relates to the storyline of

either the campaign or zombies but today

we have found out two blueprints for

some of the weapons that is going to be

in the game we don't know if this is

going to be in multiplier most likely

both of these weapons will be in

multiplayer obviously I can't say for

sure yet because I don't know so guys

let me start off with the first most

exciting one distend some machine gun so

this is a classic weapon from World War

two as you guys can see here's the

blueprint on the screen here we have the

top view and the side view at first I

had no clue what I was looking I'ma be

honest the reason being is because the

mag isn't in the gun I believe it's not

as you can see on the table you to the

side you'll see the part where you're

supposed to insert the magazine but it's

not there for those of you that don't

know the Sten has a magazine on the side

of the weapon instead of being on the

bottom so that's why it looks so weird

to me but this is the stencil machine

gun and awesome awesome weapon from Cove

to do all-out war it is making a return

now guys the next weapon that we have

I'm not familiar with this weapon at all

but it seems like it's going to be an

or this weapon is called the m1a1

carbide point 30 caliber now this looks

like an AR to me NSS carbine so I'm

guessing it today I have no clue again

I'm not that you know World War 2 have

you and like you know study all about it

like sledgehammer to make the actual

game but here's another top view and the

side view I don't know why this one is

really really blurry I mean as you see

it's like crumpled up damaged paper but

still you know I don't know why it's

like this you can barely read the m1a1 I

got even if that's an A or not I don't

know but here is the gun and again if

you look at it from the side it really

does look like an AR so that is

basically it for the weapons and what I

wanted to show you guys today tell me

and so the bio furnace weapon reasons

that the m1 carbine formerly the United

States carbine caliber point 30 m1 is a

lightweight easy to use rifle point 30

caliber semi-automatic carbine that was

standard firearm for the US military

during World War two the Korean War and

well into the Vietnam War so this gun

basically is well known throughout the

world war two to the Vietnam War era

which makes sense right that's the time

I never that were playing the game and

obviously so that in the bio it actually

has something really really good in

there so in the middle it says despite

its name and similar appearance that m1

carbine is not a shorter version of the

m1 garand rifle it's a completely

different firearms a Fire's different

type of ammunition it was simply called

a carbon because it is smaller and

lighter than the Grand so this is what I

was really curious about because I

really did think it was like an m1 gray

different but I'm guessing this is way

way different I mean think about it guys

this could possibly be the main weapon

that would use in the campaign sadly

though this isn't a fully automatic this

is only a semi-automatic rifle so I

guess it kind of is like the m1 grand in

terms of how it fires and stuff like

that but it does have different type of

ammo in real life that is meaning called

the you know it doesn't matter but I

guys all the information that I got on

this m1 carbine at least the basic

information of it so some in the

Last Thursday, France was hit with yet another terrorist attack that left a police officer

dead.

Afterwards, Newt Gingrich went on Fox News to slam the system that allowed this attack

to happen, and to issue a warning to the U.S.

"There are a couple of quick observations," Newt began, according to The Blaze.

"First, France has very strict gun laws, except for terrorists, who seem to always

be able to get guns.

Second, this guy shot policemen in 2001, so to say he was radicalized, he was shooting

people before he went to prison."

"And third," Gingrich added, "the idea of a watchlist may turn out to be something

we all have to give up on.

If you're on a watchlist, you're dangerous, and if you're dangerous why are you out

on your own."

"I think we may have to rethink the whole way we approach this," he concluded.

"If we want dramatically higher safety I mean, what we get today is a sloppy system,

every once in a while something terrible happens, everybody feels bad for two weeks, and then

we go back to business as usual."

Gingrich was basically warning Americans that if we don't make some changes, we'll end

up being targeted with terrorist attacks frequently just like France is.

"The question is not, 'are you willing to accept immigration,'" he continued.

"The question is, 'are you willing to accept immigrants who refuse to join your

country.'

And part of this is brought on by the Europeans themselves.

They were quite comfortable putting immigrants from Morocco and Algeria and elsewhere off

into these little suburban places, turning them into isolated bungalows.

And now they're discovering that that doesn't work."

"And I think the real debate has to be, if somebody comes to your country, do they

have an obligation to assimilate into your society," Gingrich added.

"Or are they allowed to be off on their own.

And I think that's going to be a very major debate."

Weeks after the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals halted his temporary travel ban, President

Donald Trump threatened to break up the judges on the "outrageous" court this week.The

Political Insider reported that the president said the court had overstepped it's authority,

accusing liberals of perpetually "judge-shopping" for a court that will strike down his executive

orders.

"There are many people who want to break up the 9th Circuit," Trump lamented.

"It's outrageous."

This came a day after a federal judge who was a top Obama donor and Democrat fundraiser

blocked an order to withhold federal funding from so-called 'sanctuary' cities.

Trump thinks that if he appeals this ruling, the 9th Circuit would predictably uphold it.

He took to Twitter to vent his frustrations.

Trump told reporters that he is "absolutely" thinking about breaking up the Ninth Circuit

Court of Appeals.

He said that "many people" would support breaking up the "outrageous" bench, adding

that he is "absolutely" considering the possibility.

The Hill reported that Infowars' Alex Jones wrote a piece slamming Ivanka this week, accusing

her of sounding like Hillary Clinton when she talks about public policy.

He specifically cited comments Ivanka just made suggesting an openness to the U.S. accepting

Syrian refugees.

"Ivanka Trump's policies are sounding a lot like Hillary Clinton, and we didn't

want Clinton in the White House," Jones wrote.

While in Germany this week, Ivanka said the idea of allowing Syrian refugees into the

U.S. needed to be a part of discussions surrounding solving the crisis.

"I think there is a global humanitarian crisis that's happening and we have to come

together and we have to solve it," Ivanka said.

When asked if this includes opening the borders to Syrian refugees, Ivanka replied, "That

has to be part of the discussion, but that's not going to be enough in it of itself."

Jones said that though Ivanka is "talented" and "beautiful," he worries that she has

too much power over her father, as the American people did not elect her to be president.

"We didn't elect her.

And she's over in Germany with Merkel, that opened the borders up for all the Islamists

… and she says for women we should let refugees in and that her dad's wrong and she wants

him to change his mind," said Jones.

"ISIS is being defeated right now … Trump's keeping his promise on that."

He pointed out that many Muslim countries are not tolerant.

"And that's a fact," he said.

"That's not Islamophobia.

That's the reality that they're not tolerant."

American financial speculator George Soros has spent the last few months desperately

trying to take down Donald Trump.

Unfortunately for him, he suffered a major setback this week that will make it a whole

lot more difficult for him to achieve his goal.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán delivered a stinging speech in the European Parliament

on Wednesday defending his country's right to self-govern and his own actions regarding

immigration and against Soros.

"I know that the power, size and weight of Hungary is much smaller than that of the

financial speculator, George Soros, who is now attacking Hungary," Orbán said.

"Despite ruining the lives of millions of European with his financial speculations,

being penalized in Hungary for speculations, and who is an openly admitted enemy of the

euro, he is so highly praised that he is received by the EU's top leaders."

Earlier this month, the prime minister explained the motives behind Hungary's diffidence

towards Soros.

"There can be no special privileges, and no one may stand above the law – not even

George Soros's people," he said.

"George Soros is spending endless amounts of money to support illegal immigration.

To pursue his interests he pays a number of lobbying organisations operating in the guise

of civil society.

He maintains a regular network, with its own promoters, its own media, hundreds of people,

and its own university."

"I believe that George Soros must not be underestimated: he is a powerful billionaire

of enormous determination who, when it comes to his interests, respects neither God nor

man," Orbán continued.

In his speech this week, Orbán said that the basic stance of the government is contrary

to the intentions of the European Commission regarding immigration.

"Our position is clear: we do not want, and do not think it is in accordance with

the founding treaties of the Union, to settle migrants in our country in a mandatory way,"

he said.

"The decision on who we live with can only be made by the Hungarian citizens."

The Hungarian prime minister went on to say that "George Soros and his NGOs want to

transport one million migrants to the EU per year.

He has personally, publicly announced this programme and provides a financial loan for

it.

"We do not want to lose the right of national ratemaking for public utilities, because we

Joy Behar Launches VILE Attack On Melania Trump – IMMEDIATELY Gets Shut Down

Joy Behar is known for her incredibly ignorant comments about Donald Trump, but she truly

sank to a new low during yesterday's episode of The View.

Conservative 101 reported that Behar embarked on a ridiculous rant on Wednesday in which

she compared illegal immigrants to Jews in the Holocaust and mocked First Lady Melania

Trump.

Twitter users, however, made it clear that they have had enough of Behar's nonsense.

The segment opened with Behar's cohost Whoopi Goldberg defending sanctuary cities.

"I do believe that people when the laws are in place, when there's a criminal, there's

nothing saying that New York can't take care of that, that they're not gonna deport

somebody and say, 'we put this person out," said Whoopi.

"As I said the other day, Obama deported more illegal immigrants than any president,

than any president," said Whoopi.

This however is misleading because the statistic she is quoting counts stopping illegals at

the border and sending them back as 'deporting'.

"Or, undocumented immigrants, the words are like being black, or negro, or African-American."

That's when Behar chimed in…

"It's sort of like the Underground Railroad in a way, it reminds me of, or the people

of Germany who took in the Jews, there are people who are really in trouble, who are

going to be separated from their children," said Behar.

"And anyway, where's Melania gonna go if we don't have any sanctuary cities?"

It is extremely racist for Behar to call Melania an illegal immigrant simply because she was

not born in the U.S. Twitter users immediately let Behar know that she'd gone too far:
