i brought my skies and walked in highway

i waiting a car

How to Make Birthday Cake Pops: Easy Cake Pops Tutorial | Kenmore - Duration: 2:26.

From coffee shops to upscale bakeries everywhere you look these days,

you'll find cake pops.

This modern day twist on a classic dessert

is a great alternative to that special event from birthday parties

to baby showers to even weddings.

And actually, this is my favorite cake pop recipe

because you will not find an easier one to make these little beauties.

Let's get started.

All you're going to need for this recipe are three ingredients.

Starting off, I've got some pre-made brownies

that I picked up at my grocery store.

I also love to use frosting in a can.

This is some milk chocolate frosting.

And then my third simple ingredient for these easy cake pops

is these candy melts.

We're just going to take two forks and just

start pulling it apart to crumble this because otherwise if you use your hands

it gets a little doughy.

We're going to roll these up, put them onto some parchment paper.

And these go in the refrigerator for about an hour to set up.

I've got these cool sticks that are going to go into the balls.

And all you want to do is take the tips and put them

into the melted candy over here, just the very end so that way

they don't adhere to the cake balls.

And then you're going to place it about half way into the ball right

underneath here.

Then you're just going to twirl them into the melted candy.

I have all these fun sprinkles and sparkles.

And this is a color mist.

And this is how you have fun with your cake pops.

Decorate them however you want.

And then I have a Styrofoam board over here

that I can just place all my cake pops so that they can dry.

I mean, how gorgeous are these cake pops, right?

And even better, they don't get any easier to make.

Well, I'd love to stay and chat for a bit, but I've got a hungry crew to feed

and a handful of delicious dessert.

So head over to cookmore.com for more fun cake pop recipes.

Oh, here you go, guys.

Want one?

One for you.

Yeah, Yeah, you'll get one too.

There you go.

The Making Of Drake's "Teenage Fever" With Hagler | Deconstructed - Duration: 3:35.

I was going through a crazy situation.

I lost my nephew in a fatal car accident so that just pulled everything out of me.

So I put everything into the beat and that's where that came from.

So one day I pulled up to the studio and 40 was like, "I need some beats."

So I just did what I had to do.

Sat down, put a folder together for Drake and the rest is history.

First thing I did was take the rhodes and that chord progression

and then I applied gross beat to it in FL studio.

And that's what gave it that slow vibe.

So before that it was like this [Plays beat].

So I applied gross beat [Plays beat].

Before it was Reason and New Window.

Or Cubase.

But now it's strictly FL Studio and ProTools.

I played all of that.

And then I slowed it down half time.

So when I combined the two now [Plays beat].

This sound right here so this is actually a stock sound.

And i just think it sounded so crazy like, it was the perfect blend. Everything just

made sense.

And then what I did to this baseline, I added decapitator to it and tweaked it a bit just

so it has that extra.

So basically what I did, I went back to the rhodes, the same rhodes that I had brought into

the session and I then I reversed it.

Once I got to this point, I was like this is over when I get to the drums.

I swear.

And then the bass…

Right here, when it did that sound, that's when I knew it was crazy.

Like little things like this.

That…

So for the hats, it's pretty simple I made a simple pattern but then what I did after

is like I ran it through effectrix which gave it that vibe.

I just added the snare and kept it simple and the kick.

And the clap.

Then an open hi hat.

Just kept it simple.

Everything is melodics first.

And then the drums.

That's like the easiest thing for me.

So I try to find that sound, create melody and like all of that vibe.

And that's pretty much it.

5 Futuristic Transports that are Already Here! - Duration: 6:32.

- The way we get around

has remained relatively unchanged for a very long time.

Trains, plains, and cars, although their shape has changed,

all continue to do the same thing.

But where are all the futuristic methods of transport

that we were promised in sci-fi films?

Recently I've been working with Ford,

and I got to see their plans

for the future of transportation,

and how it will continue to grow,

which will be necessary to solve global issues

like pollution and gridlock.

Advancements in technology

are rapidly allowing for mass use

of ride sharing, autonomous, and electric vehicles,

which means the city of tomorrow

may be closer than you think.

And in some cases, it's already here.

So with the help of my friends at Ford,

who's sponsoring this video,

let's talk about what some of those are.

Here are five futuristic transports

that are already here.

Number one is the Maglev train.

While high speed trains are not really new,

until April of 2015 their top speed was 200 miles per hour.

But soon, you could be getting from point A to point B

a lot faster.

Maglev, which is short for magnetic levitation,

is a new type of train that doesn't even touch the ground.

These amazing vehicles use magnets

both for thrust and to keep them off the ground.

Once gravity isn't a factor,

there's obviously less resistance,

and thus the train is easier to move,

making it able to travel much faster

than its rail-riding big brothers.

How much faster?

Nearly twice as fast.

That's right, these babies have smashed world records,

zipping along their guide ways at over 375 miles per hour.

They're much quieter than regular trains,

and offer an exceptionally smooth ride.

Currently, Maglev trains are only being operated

in Japan, China, and Korea.

However, there are plans

to bring this technology to many more countries,

including Australia, Italy, and the United States.

Number two is Carr-E.

While driverless cars are all the rage,

a new vehicle is miniaturizing that idea,

making how people get around

look like they're right out of Star Trek.

Carr-E, which promises to take you your last mile,

is the brainchild of Ford systems engineer Killian Vas,

from Cologne, Germany.

Vas entered his invention

into the company's Last Mile Mobility Challenge,

which sought to find new ways to transport people

on their last stretch of their trip,

whether it be from the arrival gate to the baggage claim,

or from the parking lot to the store entrance.

It's a four-wheeled electric pedestrian assistant,

while only the size of a car tire,

can carry 270 pounds at 11 miles per hour

to a total of over 14 miles,

all on a single charge.

But if you feel like getting some exercise

and making that last leg of your trip on your own two feet,

this self-navigating device can be programmed

to follow you at a distance of nearly 30 feet.

So you can actually let it carry the bags.

Number three are jetpacks.

Ooh baby, I'mma get me one of these.

Jetpacks had been an idea in the back of many people's minds

since they were first designed in 1940

by the United States Army.

A backpack that you strap into

before launching up into the air,

flying around like Superman?

I mean, who wouldn't want one of these things?

Thing is, for as long as people have been wanting them,

they've been expensive, dangerous,

and nearly impossible to build,

and completely impractical.

That is, until now.

A number of companies are racing to be the first

to release a functioning jetpack

that can be sold for public use.

The forerunners are gas-powered,

forcing air through ducted fans to lift it,

and a parachute attached in case things go wrong up there.

The prototype only moved at about 25 miles an hour,

but it's a jetpack.

Who really cares as long as we're in the air?

In a few short years, we could all be flying around

instead of walking.

Number four is Skylon.

Need to get somewhere super fast

and don't have time for a regular flight?

Well, why not climb into a missile

and have it shoot you there?

As much a space shuttle as it is a plane,

Skylon is a next-level form of aviation

that will soon be ferrying passengers

well beyond the limitations of your every day airline.

And by that, I literally mean

it'll be bringing them into outer space.

Labeled a space plane, Skylon is actually fueled by hydrogen

with an oxygen intake, to create combustion.

At first, it relies on the air around it,

before switching to liquid oxygen

as it prepares to enter orbit.

In addition to being insanely fast,

Skylon space planes are also unmanned machines,

meaning your pilot is either remote controlling it

or non-existent.

Another awesome feature of this rocket ship

is the fact that since it's protected during reentry

by a ceramic composite outer layer,

Skylons can be relaunched as soon as two days after landing.

And number five is pneumatic tube travel.

If you're a fan of futuristic movies or TV,

odds are good that you've seen these tubes

that run all over a major city,

full of citizens whipping around in them.

The idea of traveling through such pipes isn't new,

but according to multiple companies

the technology available to make a version of that

might just be here today.

This new transportation method uses airless pipes

to speed up the pods inside a vacuum

and reduce travel time,

with many experts agreeing it can revolutionize

not only long-distance travel,

but even shorter trips, too.

Imagine getting from New York City

to right here in Los Angeles in less than an hour,

and all for an incredibly affordable price.

Plus, you wouldn't need to move for work.

The commute will just be a few extra minutes.

On top of all of this, the impact on the environment

from taking so many people out of their cars is awesome.

We could be seeing roads and highways

converted into parks or pastures in our lifetime.

All of these things I've mentioned

are playing a huge part in changing cities around us,

and in some cases, much faster than we might think.

The city of tomorrow is just around the corner.

And as we enter a new era in transportation,

Ford is paving the way to help build that future.

Thanks again to Ford for helping me with this video.

I really appreciate you guys coming by today

and watching this video.

I hope you enjoyed it.

Remember to come back every weekday

at exactly 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time,

because I'll have a brand new video for you.

See you then.

Inside the World's Coolest Tech Store - Duration: 6:39.

- Hey, guys, this is Austin.

Today I'm here in one of the coolest

tech stores in the universe,

and I brought a couple friends.

So we're here at the B&H Superstore in New York City.

Now, this is not a sponsored video,

however, my boy Darren hooked it up,

so we have the entire store to ourselves.

It's after closing, so it's pretty much empty,

and we can do pretty much whatever we want.

I gotta say, it's really eerie to be in the store

and it's completely closed.

We're actually locked in right now,

so we better make a good video

or they won't let us out.

Look at all the crazy cameras here,

like the FS5 here, the C100?

Yeah it is.

Got the FS7.

The cool part about this is that, you know,

everything's off right now.

Normally you can come in and play with all these cameras.

Can we go inside?

Oh.

I feel like we're not supposed to be here right now.

Probably 'cause we're really

not supposed to be here right now.

The conveyor system is just calling my name.

- Yeah, it's going vroom.

- Oh, they left the door open for us.

Guys, you wanna try the mics?

- Hey guys, this is Austin.

- No, no, no, so actually, the way this works,

that's a $3,600 mic, by the way,

that you're licking right now.

So basically, they built this room

essentially to test mics,

so all these mics all around,

they're all patched in via this guy,

and then it runs through all of this equipment,

and you guys should listen to it on the headphones.

So I don't know how to operate it,

'cause I'll probably break something.

- Is this room completely soundproof?

- Yeah, so basically, look at the windows.

So the windows are 12 inches apart,

and the walls are two feet,

then it's separated on top and bottom.

So you can see how we had to step up to get in here.

- Darren, lock us in.

Oh, it's so peaceful, wow.

- Can you hear me?

Man, you can see how thick the windows are and everything.

This is like a proper sound setup.

But, that's not the only sound thing we've got.

Mr. Morrison, could you please

come with us for a second?

This is where the fun stuff happens.

So, not only do they have

tons of different speakers and everything,

but they also have some guitars

with some amps ready.

I've seen you play guitar pretty well.

Oh, you wanna plug it in?

- No.

(laughing)

- You guys, look.

This is what shy Jon looks like.

You see how shy he is right now?

Yes, yes!

It's like Excalibur.

So, when Jon's YouTube career finally flames out,

he's playing the pink guitar all day.

(electric guitar music)

- Dude, I forgot everything.

- What?

That's you forgetting everything?

(laughing)

(ukulele music)

- You're gonna overdub this, so it looks like--

- Oh, yeah, yeah, we're playing really cool music right now.

(hardcore guitar music)

- Is this really an iPad?

- This is an iPad.

It's got a lens on it, it's got a microphone, a light.

Hey, guys, this is Austin,

and today I'm replacing all of my normal gear with iPads.

So actually something I didn't realize,

B&H actually has PC gaming stuff too.

Yo, that's not bad.

Oh, they've even got an opened up hard drive.

- [Judner] Don't do it.

- Did we lose Jon?

You're over here making music without us?

Oh yeah, here we go, sick jams right now.

(keyboard music)

Yes, you've got the dog!

- What up?

- [Austin] Hello, hey Zelda.

Welcome to the B&H extravaganza, my friend.

- All right, it looks pretty extravaganzic.

- It's a real party now that Big Dom is here.

You just missed all the great music stuff,

but don't worry, it's all good.

You don't know anything about music so it's fine.

- Oh, it's a dog!

That is a cool raincoat, buddy.

- [Dom] It's not as cool as her little--

- [Austin] Oh!

Does that sound crazy or what?

- Yeah, it's like something sucking on my ears

on each side.

- [Austin] But you can still hear me, right?

- I can still hear you.

No, it's not Austin proof, unfortunately.

- Nothing is Austin proof, for the record.

- You got all the noise cancellation you need.

- Oh, here we go, noise cancellation.

You wanna get the chocolate swirl?

- Chocolate swirl, that's what we're calling it?

- It says chocolate swirl right there.

- Oh.

- What do you think it's supposed to be called?

- That's a very nice way to put it.

- Are you about the chocolate swirl life?

- Am I about the chocolate swirl life?

- I feel like I shouldn't be doing this right now.

This all feels really wrong.

- [Jon] What are you doing,

slapping the invisible cashiers?

- [Austin] Uh.

Did you just lick the light?

- [Jon] No.

- Did you just lick the light?

- Ken, Ken.

- [Ken] What's up?

- [Jon] What are those?

Yo.

- Jesus Christ, Jon.

- Party mode, okay.

So this is where a lot of the used stuff is.

You might think, used cameras, not a big deal,

but look at some of this stuff.

Not gonna lie, I wanna try to figure out

how I can get that out of this case right now.

Oh, man.

800 millimeter lens.

Can I touch it?

- Yeah, go ahead.

- Before I pick this up, how much is this lens?

- Off the top of my head, I think it's like $7,000, $8,000.

- [Austin] Oh, no big deal.

- This is Austin Evans sniper mode.

- Say hello to my little friend!

(laughing)

So I need an 800 millimeter lens in my life.

You guys literally have everything.

A Hasselblad?

Wow.

Oh, right, those are all cameras, aren't they?

(laughing)

That looks so cool and retro from the front.

Course, you flip it around back and you realize

it's a new camera, but from the front, wow.

Everything's reversed.

That's trippy.

You know the best part of B&H?

- I do not.

- Look up, my friend, look up.

That conveyor system is the coolest (censored) ever.

- [Jon] Evans, you just said (censored)!

- So I think what we need to do now

is to see what's actually behind this conveyor system.

So if you look, there's all these different control modules,

and these are all motorized.

So essentially what happens is,

say you're upstairs in the camera department

and you wanna order a lens

and bring it over to the register.

They put it on, and it'll send it down

all the way around.

- [Ken] So, can you beat it in a race?

- Can you race it?

- Only one way to find out.

- [Austin] Three, two, one.

(dramatic music)

What up?

How's it going, GoPro?

So, the obvious winner is Mr. Austin Evans!

All right, so this is B&H.

Darren, for real, thank you for letting us in your store,

thank you for being kind enough to let us race

and do terrible things that you should not have let us do.

Dude, thanks.

And, of course, thanks to all these guys.

You should check out all their super cool links.

Peace, guys.

FLCL - Pulling Purpose from Weirdness (Fooly Cooly) | Toonoscopy - Duration: 7:48.

FLCL hit me at just the right time.

When I first saw the show, I was probably about 13, dealing with all the cliche problems

of being 13: feeling like an outsider, hating my life, and, as a bonus, dealing with some

messy family situations.

So FLCL, offbeat and weird as it was, gave me a nice little mental niche to sink into,

and enjoy.

But something, sort of, consistently got to me.

"What does FLCL mean?"

Those words: Fooly Cooly.

The characters even toss that one around between themselves from time to time.

They ask, and I wanted to know.

I wanted to know what was going on behind the craziness and screwball reality that the

show deliberately builds for the audience.

What does it all mean.

What -is- Fooly Cooly?

A bit of a cult hit, FLCL is popular for a lot of the same reasons people might put it

down.

It's weird.

It's disjointed.

And, if you're not paying attention, seems to be more about nonsense than anything else.

But, if you give it some time and let it grow on you FLCL is intriguing.

There's something beneath the surface that always leads you back to that same question:

What is Fooly Cooly?

That question becomes a refrain, and it leaves the audience with more to chew on than giant

robots and dirty jokes.

As you watch Naota and the people around him pulled into the weirdness as their world spirals

out of control, there are glimpses of what meaning might be in this world.

Little tidbits that hold the promise of a peek into the creators' minds.

Let's take a look at some examples.

First thing's first: the iconic scene of FLCL.

Rickenbacker vs teen-face.

The alien Haruko zips up out of nowhere and clobbers the protagonist Naota upside the

head with a bass guitar.

Whacks him really good and then—

Here I'm gonna digress for a second and mention the manga.

In Japan, FLCL was a straight to video thing and a company called Kodansha serialized a

manga story alongside the release.

The art is credited to Hajime Ueda while the story is still credited to GAINAX the studio

behind the anime itself.

The whole package is a pretty faithful adaptation but there are some points either expounded

upon, altered, left out entirely, or added in for the manga.

Normally, I'd let this fall by the wayside, or exist in its own separate canonical bubble.

But, given that the story is still credited to the original studio, I'm inclined to believe

that this is still in 'Word of God' (TV Tropes it~) territory and can offer some valuable

insight while we pick everything apart.

Back to Naota gettin beat down.

Anyway, Haruko drops in on her scooter and lays Naota out flat while he's fooling around

with his older brother's ex, Mamimi.

In the show, the scene is a quick one-two punch that throws a few absurd jokes in and

moves on, playing the scene for a weird laugh and letting the action roll on into the rest

of Naota's day.

In the manga Naota dies.

It's goofy here too, of course.

Mamimi drags his corpse off to a vending machine for a juice and a chat while Haruko catches

up to finish the job.

But the point is that their relationship, particularly in the absence of Naota's older

brother, takes priority over immediately furthering the plot.

It's an interesting scene that, regardless, really establishes where Naota and the rest

of the world are at.

The world's boring, their town Mabase is boring, Naota is boring.

He's frustrated and upset and confused, but he's boring and it takes something really

severe to shake that loose.

In the anime, Naota smashes a television with his brother's baseball bat in a fit of jealousy.

The resulting electrical short fries what turns out to be a mechanical simulacra of

his father, Kamon.

He discovers his real father, mummified in a closet and brings him back to life by dousing

him in water.

It's weird, it's offbeat, it's goofy.

In the manga, Naota kills Kamon.

Not a copy.

He straight up kills his own dad with a baseball bat because he suspects there's something

going on between Kamon and Haruko.

In both storylines, this ends up with Naota taken into custody by police.

Though in the anime he's released by a character who knows about Haruko, while in the manga

he escapes after another robot wreaks havoc on the town.

At the end of the final episode of FLCL Haruko leaves Naota behind.

She offers to take him along on her intergalactic adventures before immediately rescinding the

offer and simply leaving him behind, saying that he's 'still just a kid' after all.

Though she leaves behind her bass, the same one she'd busted his head with when they'd

first met.

At the end of everything, the guitar sits in a messy corner of Naota's bedroom.

At the end of the manga, Haruko leaves her Vespa behind for Naota.

At the same time, her invitation is more open, encouraging Naota to learn to ride the scooter

so that he can follow after her someday.

We leave the story as he works his fingers, literally, raw trying to start the bike.

So, what is it that ties these events together?

None of these events are strictly –necessary- to tell the FLCL story.

That is, beyond some superficial "Event A happens so Event B follows…" storytelling

machinery, the FLCL story can still happen without the layers of nuance built up behind

the absurdity.

And, in my opinion, this is where you start to find meaning behind the FLCL nonsense.

The answer to our driving question comes from in between the gaps of the story as it's

presented to the audience.

When we start to ask "Why this way?

Why this detail?

Why this choice?"

Then we start to come close to understanding.

Of course, I'm being philosophical here and you're not going to be able to dig up

some secret code that tells you exactly why the creators made this decision or that, but

you're going to think and you're going to find an answer that works for you.

You're going to say "Why did they subvert Naota's dad's death in the anime, but

embrace it in the manga?"

Or "Why did Haruko leave Naota behind in the anime, but tell him to follow her in the

manga?"

How does any of this tell us what 'Fooly Cooly' means?

How does examining the bits of story we might not even care about get us closer to deciphering

the mystery of a couple syllables that provide the driving force behind a bizarre, but entrancing

cult TV show?

Truth be told, they don't.

And, sorry, but they probably never will.

We'll be stuck debating the real meaning behind the letters F-L-C-L until we all get

sick of everything anime, pack it all up, and start wearing suits or something.

And I happen to think that's quite fitting.

A story that, even in completion, only gives you just enough to follow along, leaves you

wanting more but never quite able to find it.

It taunts you the whole time asking with a smile: "FLCL?

What's that?"

And then it wraps up, with a nominal ending but no real closure.

What could be better?

Well everyone thanks for watching, and I'll catch you next time, on Toonoscopy.

Ha.

You thought I was gonna wrap up without mentioning the new stuff, didn't you?

Nice~

Anyway, yes.

The elephant in the room when you're dissecting bottled lightning is the sequel that crops

up more than ten years down the line.

And, seeing as we've got little more than a synopsis to go on at this point I'll try

to keep this brief.

Yes, we're getting more FLCL.

Yes, the new stuff has the same director on board.

And, yes, we –might- actually get an answer to what FLCL means.

But does that really matter?

I don't think so.

I think, this far out from the original they'll be separate entities.

They may address the same universe, the same characters, and even similar themes.

But I believe that they will be separate parts of a whole.

Like a multiple choice question with two right answers.

Each one will have its own points to make and its own nuances to explore.

But the fact that either exists shouldn't detract from the other, rather that's where

our job as the audience really begins.

FLCL's creators did the hard work in making it happen, we have to do our own and figure

out what it all means.

Anyway, we'll have to save all of that for another video.

But before I go, for real this time, I want to know what you think.

What do you think FLCL means?

What do you think the story's all about below the surface?

And how do you think the new seasons will play into all of that?

Sound off below and I'll see you all, next time, on Toonoscopy.

"FLCL means "Fooly Cooly" only when we're not being told it stands for "fury

curry," "flip clock," "foolish cleverness," "flimsy claim," or simple a Japanese sound

for frotterism."
