Smite Loki God Lore & Mythology (Why you shouldn't hate Loki)! - Duration: 13:08.
Hi everyone Prime here and today we are going to cover one of my favourite Gods who we all
love and cherish.
This one will be a bit more story heavy and probably longer than the rest but we'll
see.
If you hate Loki for whatever crazy reason I will prove to you that he is worthy of your
care by the end of this video (that's not a promise).
Who is Loki?
A fun question whilst he does possess the blood of the frost giants awarded to him by
his father Farbauti and his mother Laufel or Fay meaning needle who could have been
anything from a Giantess to a Goddess there simply just isn't that much information
that proves that she was definitely a Giantess or Goddess.
Let me know your thoughts on this down below.
Also unlike the Marvel presentation of Norse mythology Odin at no point adopted Loki after
slaying Farbauti.
Thor and Loki still considered each blood brothers but they actually were not.
Loki very much lived up to his title as the trickster God all though out his life constantly
butting heads with the Gods and shifting his alliances with the Jothunns.
You could say that of all the Gods he was the most selfish in the way that he acted
and the things that he did.
Though he wasn't necessarily evil, sure he enjoyed a good prank and took them way
too far; but as the king of trolling could you expect anything less.
Plus he always tried to right any wrongs that he brought about for the most part.
See this one time Odin, Loki and Hoenir were trekking through the perilous mountains of
Asgard and food was not exactly popping in this area so when the Gods stumbled across
some Oxen they made it their dinner.
Now a bit of karma you could say set in because the meat refused to be cooked regardless of
however long it was balanced above the flames of their fire.
The culprit of this little trick revealed itself to be a bird who bargained with the
Gods, taking the best parts of the Oxen for itself but allowing the meat to be cooked.
No one Loki's Loki especially not in the presence of Loki and so understandably endangered
by the fact that the eagle was so greedy with its choices of beef.
So Loki found a stick and lunged at the bird who caught the weapon in his talons and flew
into the air.
Horrified the trickster pleaded for mercy, the eagle refused to release Loki until he
pledged to retrieve Idun and her oh so precious fruits.
You see this Idun possessed fruits which allowed the Gods from Odin to Freyr to maintain their
youthful looks, strength and immortality.
After returning home from the long venture Loki visited Idun and challenged her to test
her fruits against some that the trickster had found in the forest beyond the walls of
Asgard.
Loki took her to woods at which point she was snatched upward by Thjazi in his eagle
mode and carried off toward the jothunn's humble home Thrymheim or "Thunder home".
Why was it called home, I'm not too sure maybe it was because it was seated atop the
highest peaks of the iciest mountains surrounded by towers, which looked down upon fertile
fields below.
It honestly did not take the Gods too long to notice that their beauty care Goddess of
anti-wrinkles and mirror idealisation was sort of you know gone.
A meeting between the Gods was held, determining that Idun was last spotted with none other
than the glorious Loki.
Who they captured and tortured/threatened with all types of pains should he decide not
to speak up about the fate of their good Goddess.
Loki being Loki didn't hesitate and told them all everything which in turn left the
Gods pretty mad, so they threatened to execute him should he not return to Asgard with Idun;
as you would.
Freya lent him some hawk feathers which allowed the trickster to assume the form of a hawk,
with which he travel to jotunheim post haste, as Thrymheim was located within that region.
As much as you may hate to hear it Loki was actually quite lucky here.
Thjazi went out fishing leaving Idun in his realm alone and as you should have realised
by now Loki doesn't waste time.
Turning her into a nut and soaring away with her safely nested in his talons.
When Thjazi arrived home he was not too pleased to find his home empty and so transforming
into his majestic eagle he flew after his prize.
His furious thunderous wing beats could soon be heard by Loki as he blazed closer and closer
to Asgard.
Spotting the chase the Gods erected a pile of flames around the fortress.
Loki (who by the way is also the Norse God of fire) made it past the barrier with no
troubles.
Thjazi on the other hand was seared to the bone, and the bone was also seared well to;
making that his last time in the air.
So yeah Loki isn't exactly an evil god at all, I wouldn't strictly call him good at
all but he's a nice enough chap.
The Gods rejoiced over the death of Thjazi and the return of Idun but the giantess Skadi
was none too pleased; knocking on the door of the Gods armed to the teeth with weapons
and armour.
She was satisfied peaceful and it was Loki who fulfilled an otherwise impossible task
of making her laugh.
After all the other Gods had failed to do so as she did lose her father here Loki tried
something that few men would ever consider.
Taking a rope and tying one end to a goat's beard he took the other and tied that end
around his… genitals, I couldn't make this up if I tried to.
The two then partook in a tug of war, let that sink in for second because God knows
I need a second take here.
Naturally the two squealed until Sir Loki fell onto Skadi's lap and she finally chuckled.
Which to be fair just for a chuckle; no end of story.
If you're still not convinced that Loki is indeed not an evil son of a such and such
how about I tell you story of how Loki made Thor put on a dress.
One beautiful morning in Asgard Thor awoke to find his Hammer missing.
He was almost completely sure that Loki was playing one of his well renowned tricks and
so confronted him about his missing Mjolnir.
Loki apparently didn't have it and so Thor had a pretty good idea as to who did.
Loki being a good step uncle borrows Freyja's magical feather dress in order to fly over
to Jothunheim.
In Jothunheim Loki spies the giant Thyrm paying extra special attention to his dogs and horses,
applying some fancy braids to the dogs.
Loki then questions Thrym about the whereabouts of Mjolnir to which he informs Loki that the
hammer is located below earth and it could be Thor's again; if Freyja's hand in marriage
were to be given.
With this new news Thor demands that Freyja marry the giant to which Freya is highly offended.
The hammer couldn't merely be left in the hands of the giants as it would spell ruin
for Asgard, as such Heimdall suggested that Thor be the one to don the wedding dress and
agree to marry the giant.
Thor reluctantly agreed but Loki did accompany him as a bride's maid.
At the wedding's day feast Thor drank 3 barrels of mead, an entire ox, some salmon
and of course the cake.
Thrym was utterly impressed but a little concerned but Loki excused this by saying that the "bride"
looking forward to their union to such an extent that "she" fasted for 8 whole days.
After further assuring the giants that the "bride's" eyes looked so fiery because
of her burning enthusiasm to marry Thrym and the exchange of bridal gifts Thrym brought
Thor's hammer before the "bride" for blessings.
As soon as Thor so much as touched his Hammer he slough all of the giants that had gathered
inside of the feasting hall.
Including Thrym's sister; which covered the bridal fee.
After that amazing example of just how good of a brother Loki is to Thor surely you must
agree that he's in no way evil cruel or heartless.
Don't give me that look you're convinced, fine I have one last story to convince you
of Loki's not so evil and general suckiness.
The golden age of Asgard had long since passed but the end was far from in sight.
Through heated battles the great wall of Asgard had seen better days and it the Gods considered
the thought of building a new one.
None among exactly rose to the task but one day a travelling builder happened upon Asgard
riding a mare.
He asked Heimdall if he could speak with all of the Gods and at their meeting offered to
rebuild the mighty wall of Asgard.
In return he asked for three things.
The sun, the moon and Freyja, the most beautiful Goddess in all of Asgard's hand in marriage.
The God's furiously refused this offer until the sly one convinced Odin that the task would
be impossible.
You see the builder also stated that he required 18 months to construct the wall, no less.
Loki proposed that the Gods give him merely 6.
The Gods agreed but also Loki in all of his cunning glory got the all-father to give the
builder usage of his horse.
From this day Freyja cried tears of pure gold.
The mason had started his task in winter and near the end of summer the task was looking
to be all but complete and the builder needed to just finish the gate.
The Gods were pissed Loki and Odin threatened to kill him if the builder finished the wall.
As such left with few other options Loki swore that he would not allow the wall to be finished.
Svadilfari the builder's horse was soon distracted by a young shimmering mare who
danced around him; leading him into the woods.
Svadilfari raced after this delightful, stunning mare with the builder following them cursing
as he did so.
All through the night the horses played and failing to keep up the builder fell over countless
roots in the wood.
By the time Svadilfari returned it became clear that the wall would not be built on
time.
The builder became a beacon of rocky fury revealing his true appearance in front of
the on looking Gods.
In light of this the Gods revoked their oaths and had Thor smash the giant's skull into
many pieces.
Loki was noted to be missing for some months but upon his return he came with an eight
legged steed by his side Sleipnir he called him.
Loki had given birth to Sleipnir and gave the horse to Odin telling him that there wasn't
a single plain in exist that the horse wouldn't ride, the sky and oceans included.
There you have it Loki even went through the pain of child birth to please the Gods, no
can truly stay mad at Loki or hate him forever it seems.

First, I'll review these
including pros & cons
is it worth buying or not

Let's talk about the packaging first
I'm not sure if you've seen these before
If you haven't, you will now
You might though
Cause these were very hyped in early 2015
I had bought a lots of these back then
without giving a thought.
So, this is how it looks
A long tube made of plastic
It has a black cap on top
On which you'll see the number
also the volume
You'll get 4.4g of product btw
also the expiry date is mentioned
That's a good thing.
That was the packaging.
When you open it
you'll see a long wand
with a doe-foot applicator
yeah
The name is written on the tube in silver
Menow Generation II Long Lasting Lipgloss
I've no idea why they call it a lipgloss (??)
It's their choice I guess
whatever.
The fact is, it's a LIQUID LIPSTICK
Now, let's talk about the pros & cons
First I'll start with the Pros
The first thing is,
These Menow gen II Lipglosses
It has a huge shade range
It has a wide shade range
I think it has upto 20
or maybe upto 30
It has 30 different shades
So there are lots of colors to play with
lots of shades to experiment
Pros no.2 is
These are really pigmented
I think, these are very pigmented
It applies very nicely & smoothly
It looks good
Pros no.3
..wait
I was quite impressed to see
how long lasting it was
Actually it's way too long lasting
It's very hard to take off
I'll swatch these AKA torture my lips today with these
Cause It's very hard to take off
You have to remove it with oil/makeup remover
with patience
So yeah TOO much "long lasting"
Pros no.4
Obviously, these are very cheap
very very inexpensive
also very available ( in Bangladesh )
These retail for $1 to $2 each
depends on the seller
A price above or less than this, is not expected
If it is then..
It's better not to buy it lol
Now let's talk about the Cons
The first con you'll see right after opening the cap
That is, it has a very strong
drug like scent
and It doesn't fade away
It stays
I'm wearing one right one
and I can still smell the drug like scent
To me, It's really strong
I personally don't prefer any fragrance in lipstick
If you don't have such issues, you'll be fine I guess
con no.2
I think it's the biggest issue about it
and that is, these are very STICKY
After application It takes about 2 minutes to get dry/matte
Then...um
It'll remain sticky
The stickiness doesn't just go away
Unless you do something about it
Don't worry
I have some tricks up on my sleeves
I'll show you after swatches
So that was the review
There're pros, there're cons
I'll give my final thoughts at the end of this video

How to turn your sticky lips non-sticky
There are two ways
One way is, after applying your lipstick
take a tissue & put it on your lips
Take some translucent powder on a powder brush
Pat your brush on your lips like this
OR, you can simply use your fingertips
Just take some powder on your fingertips
and directly pat your lips with your fingertips
to mattify
Which ever way you prefer
Another way is
to use matte blush on or matte eyeshadow
Only if you have a similar match
Otherwise, it's better to use a translucent powder
If you don't have any translucent powder
you can a use a Baby Powder
You see, I have a mixed feeling about it
As a begginer, these lippes really helped me out
But now, I don't reach for them ever
So if you're a begginer
looking for affordable lippies
in which you can buy many different shades
Then you can try these out.
You've already seen the review
you know the drill
On the base of that, if you feel okay, go for it.
On the contrary, if you're someone
who has already used many other good liquid Lipsicks
Then...don't bother
You won't like it for sure
You might feel like how I feel right now
That it's not worth it..
I feel like there's too much compromise
Now that in use other lipsticks
I feel like it's too much compromise
