Hey there Carlton!
Welcome to all our new students, and to everyone who's returning to Carlton for another year,
welcome back!
I'm Cody Brayshaw, and my co-anchors and I will be here every Tuesday in Period 2 with
weekly updates about Crusader sports, clubs, activities and events.
We'd like to extend a special welcome to all our new staff, including our new principal
Mr. Court, our new Vice-Principal, Mrs. Cey, and our new teachers: Mr. Basaraba, Miss Boy,
Mrs. Gray, Mr. Kelly, Mx. Laewetz, Mr. MacDonald, Mrs. Nemish, Mrs. Pearson, Mr. Stuckel, and
Mrs. Van Steelandt.

Now, let's take a look at what's coming up this week.
Carlton is hosting a welcome Back Tailgate BBQ in the CPAC Parking Lot this Friday, September
7th at 5:30 until Kickoff!
Come out have a burger, meet our staff and cheer on our Crusaders in their football home
opener.
Fall sports tryouts are underway, with football having started last week.
If you're interested in any of our fall sports, including football, soccer and volleyball,
a tryout schedule is now posted on the in-school announcement TVs in the hallways.
Remember, if you're trying out for one of our Grade 9-10 teams, we have a spot for you!
Carlton's Clubs are also starting up!
Whether you're into drama, writing, photography, music, robotics or even fly fishing, Carlton
has a club for you!
Check out the clubs page in the students section of the Carlton website for meeting days and
times, and find out when your club is starting.
A reminder that Homeroom is every day this week - head to your homeroom class right after
second period all week!
Next week and the rest of the year, homeroom will be on Wednesdays.
Please be aware that any changes you wish to make to your class timetables will only
be done after September 10th.
