In autobiographies, people tell you how to do it.

We just don't want to listen.

We somehow think that we're better than them.

Learn from people, learn from your mistakes,

go out and fail.

Because without failure, you can't succeed.

JSN Sun Framework Tutorials | Video 6: Menu Style Configuration - Duration: 4:52.

In this tutorial, we will learn about how to configure the Menu Styles.

This feature allows you to define the styles for your menu.

JSN Epic template will be used as an example in this video.

This is the menu for the JSN Epic template.

To configure these menu styles in the admin site,

go to Templates manager under Extensions, choose JSN Epic 2 - Default.

Choose the Styles tab, then click on Menu.

Here, you can see two areas: the Live Preview area on the left side and the Menu settings panel on the right.

JSN Sun Framework allows you to configure the root menu and the dropdown menu visually.

Let's start with the Root Menu.

Here you can configure the Font Type,

with Standard, Google or you can select a Custom file.

Next is the Font Family, which includes many fonts.

Select Text Transformation with Capitalize, Uppercase and Lowercase.

In this example, Uppercase is chosen.

Finally there are two states for the Root Menu items:

Normal State is the natural state of the menu when you are not interacting with it.

And Hover State, the state of the button when the mouse cursor is moved above it.

Let's try changing the color for each state.

You can select Main, Sub or Custom Color for background and link.

Change the color for Hover State.

Click Save Style and refresh to see the changes.

The root menu is showing the adjusted styles.

Let's continue with the Dropdown Menu.

Select dropdown menu on the Live Preview area.

Similar to the Root Menu, here you can adjust Font Size,

Text Transform,

and change the Dropdown width.

here are Normal State and Hover State on the Dropdown menu.

Let's try changing the color for each state.

Normal State - background color, and link color.

Hover State - background color and finally is the link color.

Hit Save Style and go to the front page,

this is the dropdown menu before you reload the site,

and this is the dropdown menu after you've reloaded the site.

JSN Sun Framework Tutorials | Video 9: Extras Configuration - Duration: 7:16.

In this tutorial, we will learn how to configure the website extras.

JSN Epic template will be used as an example in this video.

Now, let's take a quick look the Extras Configuration on the backend.

Go to Templates manager under Extensions, choose JSN Epic 2 - Default,

In the Layout Builder page, click on Extras tab.

Here you can settings for Cookie Consent, Social Share, Commenting and Custom 404 page.

First, let's explored Cookie Consent.

This is a quick way to ask your visitors about their cookie permissions,

make sure that your website is compliant with Cookie Consent Policy.

By default, Cookie Consent is disable,

Check the box "Enable Cookie Consent",

you can see Preview area on the left,

and all the Cookie Consent settings on the right.

Let's start with Style,

you can select Light style or Dark style for the Cookie banner.

Next is Placement, includes for banner positions:

Top, Bottom, Floating Right and Floating Left.

Then, choose the type of the notification message to be shown to visitors.

Choose "Text" if you want to input your own message.

And choose "Article" if you want to display an article as your message.

select an article is created before.

In this example we will choose "Text" type.

Next is Policy Text, "More information" is entered as an example.

And this is the link to the Cookie Policy.

Enter the Accept Button text here

The last one is Accept Script,

it allows you to define script that will be inserted to the page output if "accept" cookies found.

All the scripts here will be activated if users agree to share their data, or they hit the accept button.

Finally, click on Save Cookie Consent, go to the frontpage and refresh to see your cookie.

The second feature is includes on the Extras tab is Social Share.

This feature allows you to show some social channel, the reader can share the articles to socials.

By default, the display shows a white page,

you need to click on Enable Social Share option to show Preview area and Setting panel.

First, enter the text to display before social share buttons.

The second, select social network to display sharing buttons.

Here you can see five social networks the most popular such as:

Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Twitter and Pinterest.

Next is Buttons Position, it allows you to select one of six positions to display social share buttons.

The last is Category, you can select content categories to enable social share for.

Don't forget to Save Social Share and go to frontpage to check the result.

One more feature is Commenting,

This feature allows you to create a comment field below the article.

Click on Enable Commenting to show Preview area and Setting panel.

First, you need to select a type to display the commenting on your website.

You can select Disqus, Facebook, Google+ and IntenseDebate type.

With Disqus commenting type, you should go to "disqus.com" to register a subdomain for Joomla website.

Then type the Subdomain to the Disqus Subdomain box

Next, enable and enter the text for the "Commenting" button if you want to show that.

Also, commenting allows you to enable or disable "Show Comment Number"

and select the content categories.

With Facebook commenting type, you need to input your Facebook App ID,

If you don't have any Facebook account, visit "developers.facebook.com" to create one.

Google+ commenting type, just select commenting type and specify width for the comments box.

The last one is IntenseDebate, you need to input your IntenseDebate Site Account.

You can go to "intensedebate.com" to create a IntenseDebate account for your site.

We will select Facebook commenting type as an example,

input a Facebook App ID then click on the Save commenting button.

Go to frontpage and refresh to check comments box.

Last feature is Custom 404.

This feature allows you to select an article and custom for 404 page.

After enable custom 404, you can select an article to use as custom 404 page.

Click on Preview button to view this page as a view on the frontpage.

Go back to the admin site, you can also edit article via "Edit Article" button.

"404 Page" article of JSN Epic is created by JSN PageBuilder 3,

so you can easy to change the contents of this article.

After changed, save the article

and go back to "Custom 404" page preview this page one more time.
