How Can I Export a Video from my Camcorder to my PC The Best Way Possible Tutorial - Duration: 3:56.Hello and welcome to today's tutorial.
Before to understand how do we export a video from a Camcorder to a PC, we need to understand
which type of Video Camera we are holding in our hands.
Once we know that, we can go ahead and easily see how or if we can export the video on our
PC.
My name is Nicola Scanni.
With a degree in Multimedia and a passion for technology, I have a tendency to pass
along my knowledge in a very simple way.
Camcorders are electronic video recorders that capture moving pictures.
Older movie cameras (like the 8 mm movie camera) the medium they use to capture the video on
was a film.
Today, however, camcorders record the image not on film but on digital tape or memory
cards or other digital storage devices.
A camcorder transfers the image to a self-contained mini-VCR (Video Cassette Recorder) which records
the image as a magnetic pattern on video tape.
A digital camcorder works the same way, except an analog-to-digital converter reads the analog
signal and changes it into digital.
At this point the image can be stored on CDs, DVDs, Memory Sticks, Memory Cards, Hard Drives,
etc. etc.
If you have a mini-VCR or any video tape, the PC need a software to capture the analog
video signal and convert it to a digital signal.
You need to have a proper cable to connect the camcorder to the PC.
If You have a digital video camera, the PC need a Software or a Driver to transfer the
already made signal from a digital camcorder.
You need to have a cable to connect the digital camcorder to the PC.
The end of the cable must be a USB or FireWire.
Both Software Disc and Cable are usually provided by the Manufacturer inside the containing
box.
However, if you do not have any software disc, turn on your camcorder and plug it in your
PC.
Most Operating System like Windows should be able to recognize your device and install
automatically a Driver.
Once installed, the folder of your camcorder will then open, find the folder that contains
your videos and, after transfer the files to the PC by dragging them.
If instead, what you're looking for is to put together a series of different takes into
a single video and, your PC operating systems is either Windows or Linux go to my description
and copy the link you find next to SOFTWARE, download and install the free software.
If you encounter any error during this process, please consult the notes you find on the right
side of the software's webpage.
If instead, when you inserted the cable nothing happened it could mean that the device was
not recognized and or the camcorder's driver is wrong or missing.
The best solution for this is to visit the camcorder manufacturer's support area website
to download the latest driver.
In the description, I have included links for Windows Drivers for Sony and Samsung Camcorders.
If You don't have a proper Cable You must purchase one.
If you own a Bluetooth camcorder, Bluetooth can be used to send still photos (but not
video clips) to a smartphone.
Or if instead you own a Wi-Fi camcorder they're more functional because they can do what Bluetooth
camcorders to date cannot: transfer high-definition video to a computer.
The only downside is the drain it puts on battery's life.
This is it for today.

it on a PC.
