The Ending Of Alien: Covenant Explained - Duration: 4:56.

After seeing Alien: Covenant, you probably have some questions.

That's okay — like Prometheus before it, Alien: Covenant was long on terror, and short

on answers.

As such, we're here to do our best to get to the bottom of some of these mysteries,

and try to figure out just what the takeaway is from Ridley Scott's latest extraterrestrial

murderfest.

So now, with a very obvious spoiler warning, let's try to explain the ending of Alien:

Covenant.

Why did David help Daniels and Tennessee?

If you were surprised when the synthetic at the end of the movie turned out to be the

evil, British David and not the kind, bland Walter, then you haven't seen a lot of movies,

have you?

The minute you see Michael Fassbender playing two robots — one good, one evil — you

have to know that the bad one's going to pull the ol' dipsy-doo-switcheroo on our heroes

by the end of the movie.

It's basically movie law.

However, even if the David reveal was somewhat predictable, it does raise the question: why

did David help Daniels and Tennessee during the final showdown with the xenomorph?

It's not completely clear, but it seems likely that David suffered from a planet-sized case

of hubris.

His whole plan seems to center around finding ways to make the xenomorph better through

experimentation.

We got a glimpse of some of his trials and errors when we saw his lab — along with

what remained of Elizabeth Shaw from Prometheus.

It's possible that the final showdown aboard the Covenant was, for David, a test to see

whether this version of the xenomorph could get the better of Daniels and Tennessee.

It failed, so he's got plans for bigger, badder aliens when the ship finally arrives at Origae-6.

On the other hand, maybe he simply saw something in Daniels that he wanted to preserve — again,

so he could use her in his future experiments.

Who's mommy?

At one point, David says that his alien pals are "waiting for mother."

There are plenty of ways to interpret this line.

A pretty obvious reading is that the alien eggs — and more specifically, the facehuggers

within — need a host to do the bloody and nasty with.

In essence, anyone who provides an incubation chamber for a xenomorph is "mother."

But what if there's more to it than that?

Prometheus and Alien: Covenant are prequels to the original Alien franchise — and that

includes Aliens, which was written and directed by James Cameron.

In that movie, we learned the source of all those lovely alien eggs: the Alien Queen.

Since we didn't get to see anything resembling a xenomorph queen before leaving the Engineers'

planet, it's likely that it hasn't been created yet.

David can't stay up forever making new eggs, so the queen's creation has to be on David's

agenda.

And that may spell a pretty bad morning for our hero Daniels when she wakes up...

What did it all mean?

It may be tough to decipher, but it sure seems like Ridley Scott was trying to tell us something

with his tale of space colonization gone horribly awry.

Well, let's think about this.

Daniels and her poor, dead husband Jacob came aboard the Covenant with hopes of starting

a new life on a new planet — just because it's an adventure.

Meanwhile, poor, dead Captain Christopher decided to stop on the Engineers' planet in

response to the weird communication they picked up, and to see if this new world might be

even better than the one they'd been going toward already.

And David decided that he should play god and out-create his creators.

What was the result of all of these decisions?

Chaos, destruction, and death.

More than anything, Alien: Covenant is about the dangers of unchecked human ambition.

If Daniels and her fella had just stayed on Earth and rented a nice apartment somewhere,

he probably wouldn't have burnt to a crisp in a hypersleep pod.

And if Christopher hadn't diverted away from Origae-6 — well, then we'd have had a movie

about the dangers of micromanaging a group of drunk spaceship workers.

But there probably would've been far fewer blood barfs and body bursts.

And if David hadn't decided to go full-on supervillain?

Well, then he wouldn't have inadvertently become that which he despised.

What happens next?

Two months before Alien: Covenant's May 2017 release, The Sydney Morning Herald reported

on a set visit with director Ridley Scott.

In that article, Scott revealed that he's already got the next movie in the prequel

series written and ready to go.

That means that the dangling plot threads of what'll happen when the Covenant arrives

at Origae-6 will be answered in whatever treatment Scott's got locked in his desk drawer.

Presumably, we'll see a whole mess of xenomorphs bursting out of colonists, not to mention

a final showdown with David and Daniels...or whoever else signs on for a sequel if and

when 20th Century Fox announces it's happening.

What happens when the prequels are over?

Not only has Scott got the sequel to Covenant ready to go, The Hollywood Reporter said that

Scott's revealed plans to make yet another movie in his prequel series.

That fourth movie would apparently link up with the events of the first Alien movie from

1979.

And then, no more Alien movies ever, right?

Well…

The entire reason we're talking about new Alien movies right now at all is that franchises

tend to go for as long as people can earn money from them.

Whatever your opinion on the current crop of Alien flicks, making new movies in a recognizable

series of movies is a sure way to earn cash.

So even though these prequels will have to lead into the original movie somehow, there

will likely be some effort to keep the brand alive.

That might mean sequels that pick up after the events of Alien: Resurrection — or,

God help us, Alien vs. Predator.

It might also mean that we're only a few short years away from Alien: Reboot.

Don't say it could never happen.

Hollywood rebooted RoboCop, Spider-Man, Evil Dead, and plenty more.

There's no reason that Alien won't be reborn soon enough, too.

After all, getting born — and reborn — is kinda what Aliens do…

FALLOUT 4 - Concept Art VS Reality - The ART! - Duration: 11:26.

Concept art is the backbone of the visual development of any visual medium.

In game development especially, concept art is often used to stir up ideas for the writers

and game designers.

It's one of the first steps to any game.

But it's not just a pre-production tool.

Its used throughout the entirety of development to constantly shape ideas and communicate

them to the team.

In all of my research I've found that most of the time the concept art looks WAY BETTER

than the finished product.

Why is that?

What happens to these games that makes them stray so far from the original idea?

My favorite pieces of art are the ones that tell a story.

Like this piece of your in-game wife having her baby ripped from her arms.

The lighting is harsh, creating a stark contrast and a pleasing rim light outlining the characters.

There's a lot of motion.

The left side being forced away from the screen, and the right side being forced towards it.

The figures make it like a renaissance painting.

Take special note of the framing.

The actual game has something very different.

The circumstances have changed, there's one less person for example.

But, not for nothing, this shot is a lot more boring.

Why is that?

Well, the framing is limited by the first person camera angle.

This isn't technically a cut scene, it's an in game event.

There are no cut scenes in Fallout 4 at all, unless you count the conversations.

This helps with emersion, but limits the amount of motion and depth capable.

In this scene, each character is confined to their spaces.

The animation is limited.

This doesn't excuse the lack of dramatic lighting.

This scene would actually look sick if the inside of the pod was still just a glowing

light.

But, lighting in games is difficult.

Maybe they couldn't get it just right or they ran out of time.

Or maybe it was never even considered a priority to begin with.

Now this is just one example.

Games typically have HUNDREDS of concept illustrations.

There's a whole book of these for Fallout.

So, why even bother with all of this work if the end result is going to be so different?

In the very early stages of game development, studio heads and sometimes writers will come

up with a direction they want to take their game, and call in concept artists to flesh

out random ideas.

They're artists, so they know what looks cool.

A consumer's first impression of the game is it's visuals, and at the end of the day

these are PRODUCTS to be SOLD.

So the studios trust these artists to stir up some visual ideas with a loose story in

mind to serve as a jumping off point.

This is something they do for movies too.

There's some great pieces from the pre-production of Star Wars Ep. 7, including this VERY primitive

light saber concept that probably spawned the idea for Kylo Ren's light saber.

And you might be thinking "wait that's not Kylo Ren at all!" and you'd be correct!

Perhaps my favorite story showing the importance of this step of the process is the canceled

4th Jak and Daxter game.

They weren't sure if this was going to be a reboot, a sequel or what, so artists were

throwing out some very wacky ideas.

The team realized their most interesting work was coming from pieces that stretched beyond

the typical cartoony Jak and Daxter aesthetic.

Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, in their first ever directing rolls asked the execs

at Naughtydog... "do we REALLY have to stick to doing a Jak & Daxter game?"

To their surprise the execs said "no, not at all" and from these pieces, stemmed The

Last of Us of all things.

Pre-production art is where the most interesting ideas come from, and so much gets thrown out

because each piece is so different from the next.

During the pre-produciton of Fallout 4, artists focused on the important bits.

The vault suit, the pip-boy, and loose concepts of the environment.

Concept art is also used to set the mood and the tone of the game.

Part of this is helping visualize key moments to get a feel for what the game will look

and feel like.

This is where we got the piece of the baby being ripped from his mother.

If it was created this early in development, that would explain how it ended up becoming

so different.

But to their defense, for pre-pro art they came pretty damn close.

Concept art isn't just used to stir up ideas.

It's also used to solidify those ideas.

Characters are drawn and iterated upon over and over until the creative director is satisfied.

These images are then passed over to the character artists to sculpt the 3D models.

Basically every time they want to add something to the game, be it a different outfit, or

even, idk, a BLENDER, a concept artist has to design it 2 dimensionally first.

This is what keeps concept artists busy throughout the duration of the development.

There's always something to be added or tweaked.

I believe this is where it's most tragic to lose those beautiful nuances of the concept

art.

At least in the beginning of development the ideas are so radically different that its

inevitable that things get thrown out.

They're still trying to find a visual direction.

Late in development the visual identity should be pretty much nailed down.

At this stage things often get thrown out or changed due to time constraints.

Take a look at this concept of a completely vertical homestead.

It's possible this was meant to be the central city of Boston, all contained within one skyscraper.

This would have been BEFORE they came up with the idea of Diamond City.

It made it into the game, you can even see it FROM Diamond City.

It's just not accessible.

I really do like this idea, but it was probably scrapped due to technical limitations.

It would have been difficult to build upwards.

And how would your character get there?

An elevator?

A long staircase?

Would they warp there?

Would it be a different area all together?

Separated from the rest of the open world?

Ideas like this are great BECAUSE of how out there they are.

Unaffected by the constraints of... LOGISTICS.

These god damn logistics are just ruining everything.

There's also something about how story and life is portrayed in these paintings rather

than in game.

Maybe it's the stiff character animations, but it almost looks more alive in the still

illustrations.

And once again, dramatic lighting helps.

Make this place look dreary.

More mysterious.

The final in game work is missing dynamics that the concept artists weren't afraid to

implement.

You know, a lot of it is the lighting.

The Institute is supposed to be this light and clean looking place.

The bright lighting and reflective surfaces really sell this idea.

Nothing else in the game is this bright.

The in game area actually comes pretty close.

I love the foggy glow from the lighting, indicating that it IS really bright in there.

But what about the ground and the walls?

Even the character designs are made with lots of bright white strokes.

What's making them so afraid to push that contrast in game?

Let's up that exposure a little bit.

Are they afraid to lose detail?

That's ironic... because there's more detail in the concept art.

When I'm playing Fallout, I want to FEEL like this guy.

I feel as though it wasn't a priority to faithfully recreate these pieces, so much as it was to

create the big expansive world as quickly as possible, then maybe see what details they

can go back and toss in.

The airport has these Atomic Age pillars that look like fins.

The way the light reflects off the ridges really accents them.

It really sells the stylized 1950s look.

The airport we get in the game is just... flat concrete.

This is another logistical constraint.

Would it have been worth it to model these structures for just this one location?

They're so unique looking that they might not be modular enough.

Since the game is so big, a lot of Fallout's set pieces were built modularly to be reused

elsewhere.

Time is so important that EVERYTHING needed to be thoughtfully constructed.

Characters lost some detail too.

Look at how much more badass Piper looked.

The only real noticeable difference is her short hair.

The in-game model has a brighter, slightly less ragged coat.

Is that bright burgundy?

Ew.

Here's a better example of a stylistic change.

A lot of Mama Murphy concepts had her in some sort of wheelchair.

Since stairs would pose a problem, they decided to try outfitting her with a modified Mr Handy.

The artbook claims this was removed because it was "distracting," but I'd say it was removed

because it would be one hell of a challenge to script.

You'd have a character, sitting on top of what is essentially another floating character.

And how would she interact with the environment?

Her Mr Handy would have to be much lower to the ground in order for her to stay at eye

level with other characters.

The tragic part here is that her wheel chair, Mr Handy or whatever it would have been, carried

with it so much of her personality.

She could have been such a larger than life character.

The only remnants of THIS Mama Murphy that we get in the game, is that she just has to

sit all the time..

But, this would have been a HELL of a lot of time to implement.

You can tell that someone at Bethesda was pushing for this concept HARD.

Sometimes, sacrifices just have to be made...

When it comes down to it, these are all great excuses for the game to be different than

the concept art.

Games should be as faithful to the original idea as possible, but conform to whatever

restrictions they need to in order to actually ship.

Done is better than perfect.

It's too easy for games like this to get delayed and iterated upon over and over while striving

for everything to be just right.

I'M just here to bust Bethesda's balls, and show you guys the game that we ALMOST got.

It's fun to see how things change during development.

But what do you guys think...??? IS done better than perfect?

What Does My Pee Say About Me? - Duration: 3:03.

You flush it down the toilet many times a day without thinking... but your pee can actually

say a lot about you.

What your body has -- or hasn't -- excreted can not only reveal whether you're pregnant

or what drugs you've taken; it can also clue doctors into whether you're sick.

Urine is useful to physicians because it contains everything that's left over after your kidneys

have done the important job of filtering out toxins, waste products, and excess fluid from

your blood.

So, if you've imbibed something you shouldn't have, or if something's wrong with your

kidneys, urine is a perfect tell-all fluid.

Plus, getting a sample is as easy as going to the bathroom.

And thanks to rapid urine tests, an initial check is fast and easy.

In these types of tests, you just dip a special strip of paper into some urine, and simple

chemical reactions trigger a change in color.

So they can tell you a number of things all at once...

Like the pH of your pee, the concentration of various compounds, and its levels of certain

cells or molecules, such as nitrite.

(video)

Normally, your urine doesn't have any nitrite in it, although it's chock full of nitrate.

But some bacteria produce enzymes that convert nitrate to nitrite, so extra nitrite in your

pee is a sign of a bacterial infection, usually in the urinary tract.

If you have an infection, you're also likely to have more white blood cells in your urine,

since your body produces lots of them to try to fight off invaders.

Lots of protein, on the other hand, could be evidence of a kidney injury or kidney disease,

since normally your kidney keeps proteins in your body, because they can be re-used.

And too much glucose, or sugar, could be a sign of diabetes.

Now, if the results from this "dipstick test" are abnormal, doctors will sometimes

spin down the urine sample, putting it in a centrifuge to separate out some of its components.

Then, under a microscope, you can see if bacteria or fungi are actually there, or if there are

a bunch of red or white blood cells, which could indicate bleeding or inflammation.

You can also catch some more unusual things, like groups of cells or sticky proteins that

clump together called casts.

These are basically molds of the insides of your kidney's tubules, and they can be a

sign of kidney disease.

And then there are crystals, which come in all shapes and sizes, and can be made out

of different materials.

Finding crystals in your pee might mean you're prone to kidney stones, or are experiencing

a dangerous side effect of chemotherapy, or have even have ingested something toxic, like

antifreeze.

While it's rare for urine by itself to provide a definitive diagnosis, it's a great starting

point, and doctors can often spot problems early on, often before you have any symptoms.

So, peeing into a cup at the doctor's office may not be your favorite part of your regular

check-up, but for doctors, that little sample is pure gold!

Devín, krása Bratislavy a soutok Dunaje a Moravy / The beauty of Bratislava, Morava and Dunaj rivers - Duration: 4:41.

Hey hou my friends, welcome to next video.

I hope you are doing super great as always :-)

Nice weather has started here, it is sunny nice day so i decided to do not hesitate and go for a trip.

So I moved to Bratislava (The capital city of Slovenia) and on the borders of city, here is Devín castle.

It is village and also ruins of the castle which used to stand here.

And today it is National natural monument.

And i must say, i have been here for a while and this place is just amazing.

Surrounded by Dunaj river.

And atmosphere here is also super great.

It is sunny day and i am just going to show you this places guys so enjoy the video!:P

Historical castle Devín stand on the strategic and big rock up to the confluence of Dunaj and Morava rivers.

And today it is part of capital city of Slovenia - Bratislava.

The castle is one of the oldest castles in Bratislava, it's written documents goes to the year 864.

The prooves of the settlement here goes even to the stone age.

There were a lot of nationalities during the history - Hungarians, Kelts, Romans, Goths, Gepids, Langobardy...to Slavs.

The castle was maintained to 18th century but after this it started to decay.

In 1809 - the legions of Napoleon almost destroyed it.

On 21st of January in 1935 the state of Slovenia bought it for symbolic 1000 crowns.

The castle is folded from three basic parts. The upper one, middle one and down part.

And there is also a few of smaller parts of the castle such as basic stone of Great Moravian church,

the church from the 11th century, the tower from 13th century, the well which goes down 55 meters,

west, north and south gates, watchtower from 12th century, millitary object from 17th century

and next smaller buildings.

You can also check out two expositions within the castle witch archeological findnings from the history of the castle.

From my own experience i can say that the castle worth to be visited as one day trip for all age categories.

The castle is well maintained today and offers amazing view on the Dunaj and Morava rivers.

You can also take a walk back to Bratislava just next to Dunaj river.

Okay guys this was Devín in Bratislava, close to my home in Czech republic :D :-)

I just can recommend to go there, if you like this video, do not forget to leave comment below, subscribe my channel for more videos like this.

I really thank you for watching this and i am already looking forward to see you in next videos.

Have an amazing time guys, ciao!

SIGMA 85MM ART LENS REVIEW - Duration: 2:05.

- Hey, my name is Nader.

I recently got to play with the Sigma 85 1.4 Art

and I just wanna kinda give you guys

my first impressions on it.

(soothing music)

This is the lens from Sigma

that I had been waiting for for the past few years.

First of all, the overall build quality

is absolutely fantastic.

They've done an excellent job of

just making a lens that feels pro.

It's heavy, it's metal, it's got a smooth focus ring.

They're going after the top of the line's Zeiss lenses.

They're going after $4,000/$5,000 lenses

at a fraction of the price.

They're doing an excellent job of

changing the industry and moving the industry forward,

which I really appreciate.

As far as image quality, the bokeh is absolutely fantastic.

The images I was able to create wide open with

a sharp subject and then creamy backgrounds

were just magic.

I did so in natural light, and I also did so in the studio.

As far as sharpness, I used D800E

and I had read that

this lens performs extremely well at 36 megapixels.

It did. There's just no question.

Comparing a shot taken with this 85 1.4

next to another shot taken with another 85 1.4,

you can see the difference right away.

A couple of things I found troublesome with this lens

is the filter size and the weight.

I can see a lot of people tryin' to lug this thing around

and complaining about it hurting their wrist,

hurting their arm, but it is a top quality lens,

and I shoot in the studio a lot.

As far as the filter size,

I would have to buy a whole new set of filters

if I want to use filters with this lens,

which is a little troublesome but

considering how good this lens looks and feels in my hands,

I'm willing to make that sacrifice.

Overall, I love this lens

and I would highly recommend trying it out,

renting it from your local camera store,

or just going and buying it.

Priced very competitively compared to

the other lenses it's trying to beat out.

Thank you for listening to me banter and

see you in the next video.

are for just like subscribing and um

watching my videos and supporting me and

all that stuff you guys really awesome I

appreciate everything that you guys do

whether it be like sitting in like a tip

through PayPal or like commenting or

like liking my videos um or just not

making fun of my face guys like honestly

no I really appreciate all that stuff

and I just can't believe that we got to

3,000 subscribers like lights it's crazy

oh my gosh I need to get done I need to

celebrate you can celebrate guys come on

George it's probably right you know what

fuck is probably trying to speed on

this is a really nice train oh my god

you really need to take like a big job

to get the full flavor of this gosh

smells amazing

I have no idea what this is like the

parents or anything all I know is that

it feeds Kiva and it's called

progressive cookies in it is by dabble

extracts which is awesome I love that

will of dabble a lot if you guys don't

can't tell because can't tell dabble is

one of my go-to things relax so pretty

cool it's pretty good honest together

gab and just keep trying to remind

myself that this is a celebration video

and we need to get really stoned to kick

this table

I kind of think it's appropriate to take

like three dabs

like just three dabs for this 3000

subscriber celebration

I really think that this is a great way

to celebrate this particular milestone

with just like three crazy dabs um so I

think it's pretty cool they're like um

after we get to 4,000 subscribers I'll

be four I'll be four dogs and then that

could be really crazy that like if I

ever got like 50,000 subscribers or even

like 25,000 that's like 25 jobs in a row

like that's like entire gram of wax

almost I think so you guys want to see

me smoke or dab an entire grandma wax

get to 25k no really I'm getting really

stoned so cheers to 3k yes

I still need a car job fuck oh my gosh

but you know um I was me taking three

dabs like pretty quickly in a row I'm

pretty medicated I'm really stoned um

and I just want to thank all of you guys

for like I said everything you guys are

awesome

and yeah you guys are like a part of

this too now um it's really crazy it's

really weird like I was always like that

person to like watch YouTube and I never

thought that I would be like the person

not like makes videos and like is

actually doing this and like engaging

with like people and like a community

and like stuff like that so um it's

really cool it's really nice feeling um

I'm really excited about I guess like

the future and I am gues really excited

about like the present to you like this

is awesome

um so that's kind of where I am right

now I feel like it keeps getting like

blurry or something or it could be my

eyes because I'm really stoned uh no um

I'm going to take one more dab and get

out of here just like one more for good

luck more for good luck so I've this

table ready I did not focus thought

because my camera's dying it could die

any second I don't even know why I'm

taking this tab

like I said thank you guys so much you

guys are awesome and here's to another

year of awesomeness and positivity and

fun so yeah I think that's I think

that's a great way to in this video on

just like a positive is like donor

message so I guess that's it for this

video guys I'm going to go thank you

guys so much for subscribing like

getting audit stuff um I'm really

excited about this I'm really excited

but just like everything that's happened

and everything to come and I feel like

I'm getting really mushy and this is

weird and I should probably go I'm gonna

go stay educated stay medicated and I

will see you guys later bye

How to make a perfect crotch wrench - Duration: 4:56.

Hi Guys. All right?!

again we are together

Today, more a lesson of Jiu Jitsu, a must,

with the teacher Matheus Floresta.

You can not lose.

This is the Full Fight Channel!

I will go variation that goes for brown, black belt ...

also white band,

adult, blue, purple can also ... brown and black.

OK?

come on.

i'm here in the same situation as my opponent,

now I'm going with her hand on his knee,

I'll pull ...

It is...

open space,

to move my leg.

he is cowering here,

no matter how it is, will be

... here in the hip we do not have much strength,

then I'll go,

* * Tries to catch al

I can pull and get the leg.

when entering the leg, an important detail which has to do,

my foot out back here.

already out back,

roping,

foot ... it here.

now...

I will embrace here ...

caught hand in hand,

there what happens ...

often, it precipitates and want to run,

* Tries to run, will *

rolled...

rolled, oh what happens ...

i'm here. look ...

I drop,

caught in the foot,

and do calf key.

this key is to brown and black belt, you see?

the submission also

Nogi,

and...

in mma can also,

and can also grappling.

OK?

... Jiu Jitsu can only to brown and black.

and white band, we will make this variation here, look ...

then I stretch here ...

hug ... and then,

I reach his groin,

stretching here.

again ... come on.

pulled ...

open space ...

I entered the leg ...

and out of the side there,

out here screwing ...

his foot.

foot in and screwing is here,

I embrace because here it gets stuck,

if if it does not run, I go there and force it to rotate.

floor,

and give a boost.

and...

closing the triangle,

and pull his calf.

white band: go there and look ...

floor...

always remember that this position need to close the triangle.

because if I do not close the triangle, I hurt my knee,

because if you stay here, it becomes a force of fight,

And here closing, there is no way because it is here protecting the knee.

then I stretch, I go back and pull.

once again...

i'm here... i pull

I walk with the leg ...

to get out of here ...

and hug ... he gets stuck.

rolled ...

out to the side,

calf...

floor in the foot, back ...

Oss!

Well, we come to the end of another video,

amazing...

Floresta, thank you,

if you like, share,

by social networks ...

by training the galley whatsapp group,

do not keep knowledge to yourself because it is meant to be shared.

and that's why the channel exists.

purpose here is to multiply knowledge.

thank you for participation,

sign in the channel ... until next time ... and this is the channel Full Fight!
