Waching daily May 20 2017

Hello!

My name is Askar and with you "IT Verdict" channel

Today we will have the first part of the review

on the device, which allows you to connect

a conventional non-mobile GPU to the laptop.

The review will consist of two parts

and it is because this part of the review was done in a very short time

because the laptop not mine and was taken for a while.

In the next part of the review, there will be more thorough tests

and, accordingly, more substantive conclusions.

More about the situation will be in the description under the video.

The name of the device, which will be discussed today,

will not tell you anything, believe me, so I will not even try to pronounce it,

you can read it yourself from the link in the description.

you can read it yourself from the link in the description.

The device costs on Gearbest almost 70$

and let's see what it consists of.

And by the way, on the chalk board,

Kate drew one interesting GPU from the past,

connected to this device, so write your assumptions

about this GPU in the commentary.

So, let's start the review.

The first thing that immediately catches the eye

is a hefty power supply from Dell, which will provide power

to the board and GPU and the board itself.

Also, the kit includes an instruction and a wire

for additional power supply of the GPU.

As for the card itself, there are a lot of ports,

it's an HDMI port through which the connection to the laptop will be made,

it's a USB port and a port for power, which I didn't use,

a port for connecting the power supply.

PCI connector, where the GPU will be connected and the power outlet

to connect the additional power supplyfor GPU.

to connect the additional power supplyfor GPU.

In fact, everything looks very simple, but it is not.

At first.

If you think that in the HDMI port we insert

an HDMI to HDMI cable, then you are mistaken.

Yes, there will certainly be an HMDI connector at one end,

but on the other end, which we will connect to the laptop,

we have a mini PCI connector, which means

that we will have to climb under the laptop cover.

And before we start, a few words about what we are working with.

We will connect the GPU Geforce GTX 750 with 2 GB of memory.

We will connect the GPU Geforce GTX 750 with 2 GB of memory.

The laptop we have the processor Intel Core i3 3120 with a frequency of 2.5 GHz

4 gigabytes of RAM, built-in graphics - Intel HD Graphics

and mobile video card Geforce GT645M.

and mobile video card Geforce GT645M.

Ideally, the GTX 750 should prove to be an order

of magnitude better than a mobile card in case of revealing its potential.

Let's start the connection.

Remove the cover and look for the PCI port

Many laptops this port is occupied by a Wi-Fi module,

which we disconnect from the laptop.

Instead, we will temporarily use an external USB Wi-Fi module.

Instead, we will temporarily use an external USB Wi-Fi module.

We remove the wi-fi module and plug the connector

into the port of the mini-PCI port.

Next, we are closing this all by the cover,

connecting it, connecting the GTX750 to the board and turning on the power.

Great, the fan spun, the laptop turns on without problems.

Great, the fan spun, the laptop turns on without problems.

Moreover, after installing the drivers, the video card

from Nvidia is determined correctly.

However, strange things begin to happen here.

The fact is that after connecting GTX 750 in the settings,

the Nvidia control panel started working once,

where we could switch the used video card.

Moreover, when trying to test a game in 90% of cases,

the laptop was given a blue screen.

The same thing happened when you tried to look

at the card information in the GPU Z

With what it was connected, I did not have time to check it,

but I tried to solve it differently.

I just connected monitor to the GPU with a very close resolution.

I just connected monitor to the GPU with a very close resolution.

Then the BSODs became noticeably less common.

However, after almost every test of the game, they did occur,

which made it necessary to restart after each run.

which made it necessary to restart after each run.

Well, let's see what happened at this stage.

Well, let's see what happened at this stage.

In the test participated only 3 games that were available on the PC,

this CS GO, Paladins and Rocket League

Settings everywhere were set to the same

and exposed so that the processor was not loaded to maximum.

As for CS GO, the values were approximately equal

with a slight advantage of the GTX 750. At the same time the mobile card

also as the external worked about 80% on average.

45 fps was produced by the mobile and 55 by the external video card.

45 fps was produced by the mobile and 55 by the external video card.

As for the Rocket League, then there were more pleasant changes.

As for the Rocket League, then there were more pleasant changes.

Where the mobile card produced about 55 frames per second,

the GTX 750 worked at full capacity, almost 90-95%

of the output was sometimes more than 100 frames per second.

This was a good sign.

Paladins.

And then I did not understand what happened.

The mobile card worked on average 80% of the output of about 50 frames,

while the GTX750 worked in a half-power and produced values

much worse. Yes, sometimes the number of frames jumped to 60 FPS,

almost all the time there were terrible drawdowns

up to 20-25 frames per second.

up to 20-25 frames per second.

Of course, based only on these tests, I will not make

full-fledged conclusions, but there is something about

which it is already possible to speak with confidence at this stage.

Firstly, this method is really working however it requires

at least a lot of patience, to solve compatibility problems,

correctly configure the driver

and the device's operation.

Second, this is the fact that this method

is not suitable for every laptop.

For example, if you use a powerful laptop

with a decent built-in video card, then by connecting in this way

some kind of top-end GTX 1080 you will simply run into the problem

of the miniPCI port's throughput, which will not allow you

to uncover your GPU and the built-in card

will show itself better.

will show itself better.

That's why I have to do the second part and test this method

on different laptop configurations and in different ways.

on different laptop configurations and in different ways.

The same part of the preliminary tests can be considered complete.

Yes, they are not single-valued, but I tried to give

a general idea of what you will first encounter in the case of using this method.

a general idea of what you will first encounter in the case of using this method.

Partial Review - Lego Pirates: Lego Chess (40158) - Duration: 5:45.

Hey everyone!

JAYSTEPHER with Lego Chess

by Lego Pirates.

Set number 40158.

Contains 857 pieces.

Recommended building ages are seven and up.

Just as a fair warning,

I am not a chess player.

I know very little about chess.

So this will be an informal review.

Looks like we get several figures.

Nice colorful box art.

Let's open this up.

Okay!

Look at all the parts.

So the bags are numbered for easy build.

That's always a plus.

Several bags with plates,

bricks,

and other various elements.

We do have instruction manuals.

Are these going to be easy to open up?

Oh they are.

I think.

[Laughs] Not too sure!

Let's just cut the top off.

I don't want to spend half the review

opening up the instruction manuals.

So there are indeed two manuals included.

Oh this bag has the Brick Separator.

I'm going to need that.

Well let's take a closer look at the Lego Chess game

after it has been assembled.

Here is the Chess game partially assembled.

[Laughs]

Yes! You heard me correctly.

Partially assembled.

Apparently I am missing one bag number three,

but I end up gaining an extra bag number one.

So I cannot put this set together any further.

I decided to do a review on it as-is

to show that sometimes Lego does make a mistake.

So this set is a lemon.

I'm not sure of the minifigure count,

but it appears that it has have some nice minifigures.

Some of the parts that were in the missing bag

were parts for these minifigures.

We do have a couple of parrots,

some chairs,

skulls.

I like the play field on this.

It does remove.

Just some 2 by 2 jumper plates and flat tiles,

and you got a cubbyhole

to throw your minifigures in.

And there are four in total,

and this can be broken up,

It is modular.

Really clever design.

This looks a bit unfinished around the edges.

I couldn't put the left-side together

due to the missing bag,

and some of the parts I don't even have in my collection.

So I cannot give an honest review on this set

seeing that it is incomplete.

I got this mainly for parts

for the bricks and some of the minifigure parts.

I'm sure that this will make a great set for any chess player

or even as a source for spare parts

provided that you get all the bags.

So I think this was just a lemon

that rolled off the assembly line.

I'll make some good use of the parts.

It does have a good value for plates.

I just wish I could complete the set.

I could contact Lego

and explained to them what happened,

but I'm not too worried about it.

So this concludes the partial build and review

of Lego Chess by Lego Pirates.

Set number 40158.

Thank you for watching!

Philipp Lahm: A Remarkable Football Career - Duration: 10:06.

I think he's had a career that he never dreamt of having

when he first became a professional player.

A top, top, top player and a top guy is leaving the team.

Philipp is an absolute legend of this amazing club.

He is and was a fantastic professional, a strong character, fantastic quality, a really humble man.

Philipp Lahm's unique career began at FT Gern when he was 4 years old.

I live there

or rather my parents still live there.

I grew up at the club.

At the age of 11, Munich-born Philipp moved to FCB.

Bayern were very clever in making me be a ballboy at the Olympiastadion

in front of 63,000 spectators.

They set out the bait and I bit.

And Lahm got his teeth stuck into life as a youth and amateur player

at the record champions – under a very special coach. He was the best player

I had had at that point.

There was no better player aged 17.

I still remember that Hermann Gerland fought very hard for him

He hassled Ottmar day and night, insisting: "Ottmar, you have to let him train

with the first team

You have to give him a chance.

He ticks every box you can think of to be a player at Bayern Munich.

Now a youngster is coming on for FC Bayern, he turned 19

19 on Monday the 11th of November. A defender, a good man, a man for the future -

Philipp Lahm.

Nothing was at stake, it was the last group game in the Champions League, Bayern were already eliminated.

It was really cold in the Olympiastadion, but for me it was a dream, my first time,

even if I was only on for 3 minutes.

Hermann came to me and said: 'You have to send Lahm out on loan, he has to play.'

So then we loaned him to Stuttgart for two years.

II had to send him away, I had to give him up. It would have been a waste

to have Philipp Lahm playing another year in the third division.

On his Bundesliga debut in Stuttgart colours in August 2003,

Lahm made an instant impact, playing his part in the goal which put his team 2-0 up against Rostock

while also having a chance to score himself. Lahm developed at a frightening speed.

After a few months, he made his Germany debut

He wasn't just a key player for his club, but an international and was well on track.

It was very good for him to be loaned to Stuttgart, because he grew there;

he became a man.

It was clear that after two years, after the loan, he'd return and play for FC Bayern München.

In November 2005, Lahm made his Bundesliga debut for FCB against Bielefeld

He started and played the whole match. Philipp had really arrived, and with brute force.

Lahm quickly became a player Bayern simply couldn't do without.

He netted his first goal in a competitive game for FCB in August 2006

away against Bochum. His first and only brace in a competitive match came in October 2014,

in a league game at home to Werder Bremen.

He lifted his first Bundesliga title in his very first campaign for Bayern

– the 2005/06 season. Becoming champions of Germany for the first time

was very special.

It was my first major trophy so it was certainly a huge moment.

Many more titles were to come. In total, Lahm has won the Bundesliga 8 times,

the DFB-Pokal 6 times and has amassed every international trophy possible with Bayern: the 2013 Champions League

and the UEFA Super Cup, as well as the FIFA Club World Cup were all won with Lahm as captain.

A cup encounter against Aachen in January 2011 was the first time he led out FCB wearing the captain's armband.

He is actually, I have to say, almost the perfect captain.

He's a home-grown player, Bavarian, from Munich even.

He's a very intelligent man and it's fun talking

about football with him.

Standing a modest 1.7 meters tall, the local boy is a giant in the history of German football.

With 113 caps to his name, he was the captain of the national team for a number of years

while also playing the role of Joachim Löw's right-hand man as he led German

to World Cup glory in 2014 – a crowning moment. He retired from international football the day

after this momentous triumph, but it was a win he had practised back at home years before…

Andi Brehme. 1990, the World Cup final.

He shot in the bottom right.

Right there!

Philipp Lahm, from FT Gern to the world's biggest footballing stages,

now leaves a terrific career behind him. He's a man of the world - a representative

for Germany and FC Bayern. Above all, however, Philipp Lahm is a world-class footballer,

who now deservedly enjoys legend status at FC Bayern.

The captain of the treble-winning team of 2013, with over 500 competitive appearances for FCB.

In his position, he is still one of the best three defenders in the world today.

He was an absolutely world-class player and right back, and still is.

The way he gets up and down the touchline, back and forth, back and forth,

and still plays superb football.

Bravo!

Philipp has distinguished himself through his incredible willpower.

There aren't many people who can lead a team as well as

Philipp Lahm.

He's had a picture-perfect career.

What he's done for German football and FC Bayern München -

you can only take your hat off to him!

In Philipp Lahm, an extraordinary leader and an absolute team player

at FC Bayern is bowing out. We've always been on the same wavelength

Ob beim Karten spielen oder sonst wo.

Auf dem Fußballplatz haben wir dann auch ne Zeit lang auf der gleichen Seite gespielt,

whether it was playing cards or anything else.

On the pitch, we've played on the same side for a long time – for the national team and Bayern. That means we have a special connection.

I've been by his side for many years and learnt from him.

I think we've always had a good relationship and had a lot of fun together.

I hope that he'll get so bored that by October he says:

'Okay, time to put the boots back on.' Then from January next year, maybe he'll join us

for the training camp.

14 and a half years of professional football, but now the captain has played his final season.

Personally, I'm very sad that he's decided to end his career now,

because Bayern will miss him.

He was always an important person to talk to for me.

We always had a great relationship based on trust.

I'll miss him not only as a player,

but also as a person I trusted,

that I enjoyed speaking with.

Philipp has an unbelievable career behind him and in my opinion,

he's ending a world-class career too soon.

I think the fans will miss him, not just me, the staff and the club.

The fans will also miss him.

Philipp Lahm – Munich through and through, Mia San Mia personified.

That's my hometown, and why I love it!

A giant of word football is saying goodbye. All FC Bayern can say is, thank you, Philipp.

Điều Răn III: Chớ xưng danh Thiên Chúa làm điều sai trái - Duration: 4:24.

Is there such a thing as "the worst sin" -- one sin that is worse than all others?

Well, there is. I am well aware that some people differ. They maintain that we can't declare any sin

worse than any other. "To God, a sin is a sin," is how it's often expressed.

In this view, a person who steals a stapler from the office is committing as grievous a sin in

God's eyes as a murderer. But most people intuitively, as well as biblically, understand

that some sins are clearly worse than others. We are confident that God has at least as

much common sense as we do. The God of Judaism and Christianity does not equate stealing

an office item with murder.

So, then, what is the worst sin? The worst sin is committing evil in God's name.

How do we know? From the Third Commandment of the Ten Commandments. This is the only one

of the Ten Commandments that states that God will not forgive a person who violates the commandment.

What does this Commandment say? It is most commonly translated as,

"Do not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. For the Lord will not hold guiltless" -- meaning

"will not forgive" -- whoever takes His name in vain."

Most people understandably think that the commandment forbids saying God's name for

no good reason. So, something like, "God, did I have a rough day at work today!" violates

the Third Commandment. But that interpretation presents a real problem. It would mean that

whereas God could forgive the violation of any of the other commandments -- dishonoring

one's parents, stealing, adultery, or even committing murder -- He would never forgive

someone who said, "God, did I have a rough day at work today!" Let's be honest:

That would render God and the Ten Commandments morally incomprehensible.

Well, as it happens, the commandment is not the problem. The problem is the translation.

The Hebrew original doesn't say "Do not take;" it says "Do not carry."

The Hebrew literally reads, "Do not carry the name of the Lord thy God in vain." One of the most widely used

new translations of the Bible, the New International Version, or NIV, uses the word "misuse" rather

than the word "take:" "You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God."

This is much closer to the original's intent.

What does it mean to "carry" or to "misuse" God's name? It means committing evil in God's name.

And that God will not forgive.

Why not? When an irreligious person commits evil,

it doesn't bring God and religion into disrepute. But when religious people commit evil,

especially in God's name, they are not only committing evil,

they are doing terrible damage to thename of God.

In our time, there is an example of this. The evils committed by Islamists who torture,

bomb, cut throats, and mass murder -- all in the name of God -- do terrible damage to

the name of God. It is not coincidental that what is called the New Atheism -- the immense

eruption of atheist activism -- followed the 9-11 attacks on America by Islamist terrorists.

In fact, the most frequent argument against God and religion concerns evil committed in

God's name -- whether it is done in the name of Allah today

or was done in the past in the name of Christ.

People who murder in the name of God not only kill their victims, they kill God, too.

That's why the greatest sin is religious evil. That's what the Third Commandment is there to teach:

Don't carry God's name in vain. If you do, God won't forgive you.

I'm Dennis Prager.
